Or how bad do you have to be not too. The 3 best sides from last season gone who are all top half NPC sides are gone, replaced significantly poorer sides. Peterborough, despite losing one of their best strikers in January and being sh*t for most of the season apart from the last 10 games or so are 3rd. Bournemouth, who have lost their manager and 3 of their best players were second until saturday and still in with a shout. Saints have underperformed for much of the season, in fact the only team playing anywhere near their potential are running away with the league. Lets not kid ourselves that this is a strong league full of great teams playing brilliant football, it's a poor league with a handful of half decent sides most of which are or have been underperforming.

For anyone that thinks they aren't they have won 7 and drawn one of their last eight, tonight look nailed on to make it 8 wins from 9, scored 23 so far and conceded just 3. Phemonemal form.
-
Because if they take the lead with 20 minutes to go you are talking about a totally different last 20 minutes than if the score if 1-1 going into it. The whole complexion of the game changes. I really dont understand why this is so difficult to understand.

It never ceases to amaze me the sheer lack of football intellegence and logic when people post things like this. I swear some think that football is only played in each teams penalty area with no tactics, match dynamics or any other factor involved or effecting the outcomes. Had the penalty shout been in the 93rd minutes with us already 3-1 up then the score would have been 3-2 to us, however it was in the 70th or so minutes had they scored it they would have lead 2-1 and it would have been a totally different game, with us chasing it. There is every chance it could have finished 3-1 to them.

i think you need to check the rules mate, a player is not off side if the ball comes off a defending player, defelection, intercepted backpass or whatever. It was a goal. nothing wrong with it. -
tomorrow i'm going to give you and the rest of your shandy crew a slap.

"Scummers, fawsands ov um!!!!!!!"

Because i think if they dont go up this season they will do a Swindon, probably lose their best players to other L1 or NPC sides and struggle or at best finish midtable. They have massively overachieved this season and unfortunately the nature of the modern game is small clubs dont do well for a sustained period of time. If we are both still in this league next season i'd think we'd still be challenging for promotion whereas they wont be. The only reason they are on our radar this season is because they have overachieved, if they were struggling do you think they'd have built the game up so much? So no, not arrogant, realistic.
-
But where do oppositon fans form their views these days? Its on other teams forums, you know like we do, posts on here from Bournemouth, Sheff Wednesday, brighton forums etc in the past and everyone on here slagging them off. If i went onto a league one clubs forum and saw them saying that a current premier league player would join them ahead of the Scottish champions and play champions league football, or that they are the most attractive side to join outside of the premier league i'd think they were arrogant c*nts, wouldn't you? BTW where is Tartan Owl? He's gone a bit quiet lately!
-
No, it reaks of someone trying to stir up Bournemouth fans ahead of their biggest home game for decades. dont forget not only is this a "derby" but lose and 2nd place is as good as gone for them. We will be level on points with two games in hand. Its not just a local derby, its a promotion 6 pointer. The bloke is only doing his job as a local journalist FFS.
-
it's called an inferiority complex, funnily enough it effects a lot of people 20 miles east of here as well.
-
Nothing, there is plenty that do that anyway. Just means they wont have to miss 1/4 of the game by selling concourse tickets, they can watch the whole gam down there.
-
Not at all, would their be dispear if we were in the top flight and lost at Man United or Chelsea? Of course not because we expect to win all the time in this league and dont in the Premier league. If you've never got that impression then you obviously weren't on here pre season, this is apparantly the season with no excuses, the season where failiure to achieve promotion is faliure and where some even said the play offs weren't acceptable. Some claimed we can sign anyone we want, just throw enough money at them, others said we are the most attractive club for any side not playing the champions league, still more people said that a player would rather join us than Champions league Rangers. Lambert is better than Torres, Saints would beat England, i could go on. Actually some of those comments are arrogant, they are just idiotic.
-
I dont understand why everyone is getting worked up. All he has done is write a not inaccurate article, attempting to stoking up the "rivalry". All you lot getting angry about it are just doing excatly what was intended. If their cute little club and town want to put down the beach mats and zimmer frames and stand in the street calling us "scummers" let them. Bournemouth are on our radar for one season and one season only. Just remember, it's them doing all the talking, them claiming they dont fear us, them being spiteful. Let them get on with it.
-
Really?! Why the dispear then everytime we fail to win? Who at the start of the season exepected automatic promotion? In fact many people on here said only the top 2 was acceptable, is that not arrogant? There is nothing wrong with being arrogant when you are good and when you deliver, but when you dont you end up looking like a c*nt.
-
It's not inaccurate though is it. In top flight we were a small club at the Dell expectations of just surival and most clubs had a soft spot for. Since relegation, particularly to this league we have become arrogant, expecting to walk this league and being able to sign who we want. The only thing that annoys me is that we have this perception of being perennial strugglers when we weren't but for about 5 or 6 seasons out of 27. Most of the time we finished lower mid table, i am sure Fulham, Bolton and Sunderland aren't considered perennial strugglers.
-
Another benifit of this is there would be no need to expand the stadium if and when we return to the premier league. You can have one of the 32k stadium tickets or one of the 10k concourse tickets. For many this is the ideal scenario, just show the game on the TV, ideally Sky when its on there and it'll be just like being at home or down the pub leaving people to eat, drink, talk about Eastenders, text or do whatever people do at football these days instead having to watch the game.
-
'look at me' clothes? I think you are getting me confused with the jester hat wearing, face paint, fancy dress, "look at me all dressed up, i know how to have fun because im mad" type of unsavory element that is prevalent in our fan base that we seem to have picked up since the move to SMS..
-
You obviously didn't see his tackle and through ball to Forte on tuesday night then. it's a long time since i've seen one of our midfielders clatter another player without giving away a free kick and then actually do something with the ball. I know it was only 20 seconds of football but the lad is improving.
-
make games an hour, a lot of our fans struggle to sit down for any longer than 30 mins without eating. Or we could make them 2 hours with breaks every 25 minutes. That way people have three opportunities to eat and drink during the game.
-
It does have something to do with it, because the people going downstairs 35 minutes into the game are more interested in filling their bellies at half time that watching the team they claim to support.
-
Why would i ask the question if i knew the answer? DO you eat every 45 minutes at work and home on not?
-
Ehh? Surely Jaidi is perfect for a physical game? Martin has done well and is a good prospect but Jaidi is a player you want for this sort of game.
