Which is exactly the point!! 20-24 good players, or 35 average ones? I know which one i'd take EVERYTIME without fail. Look at the size of our squad when relegated from the PL, it was massive, yet only 2 or 3 players of that were up to it. Yet some people just want us to sign somone, anyone, regardless of how good they are.

Only ones that are dropped in August count as it'll prove the 'we should have a squad of 90 players' brigade right.

What about if we have 6 points out of 12 at the end of august but 50 out of 69 at Christmas? Or is it only the first 4 games which count? Will people still be bemoaning the 'lack' of summer signings then? I dont get this percived lack of activity anyway. We have signed not one but two players who were better than the RB last season and the best left back in the division last season. The first XI on paper is better than last season now. yes the squad still needs strengthing, but in reality we have only lost two decent squad players, the rest such as lancashire and Molyneux were deadwood which needed moving on. 2 good players for every position is better than 3 average ones.

hmmm, that would irk me too, generally women are okay at basic level football talk, like recognising the difference between a throw in and a corner but when they start talking about more advanced things like offside, formations, tactics and signings that is when they are show up for the simpletons that they are.
