They'll cash in when they can. Equally if a player signs a contract at 17 on £5k a week but two years down the line are being tipped for greatness and gets tapped up and offered £20k a week somewhere else with an agent in their ear telling them to move on as they get a handsome % of the fee then they are likely to want to go. The only thing contracts mean these days is a temporary show of commitment from the player and club, both will be shot of the other if its in their best interests.
