  1. Great bal forward from JWP for the goal!
  2. Never any doubt about duckies tendencies, peculiar as they are.
  3. Some hope, to many of them are unprincipled and will do the leaders bidding, hence the three line whip yesterday.
  4. I think that the most likely scenario. If he had been recalled and he contested the by-election he would most likely loose the seat, that would never do.
  5. I disagree the Tories are doing their level best to show they are not all the same, and that they are the “party” of privilege. Even the most ardent of the right wing anti left voters will become tired of the corruption. I thought Brexit claimed to be all about sovereignty and the British way, for these charlatans it’s is all about them and protecting their own self interest, as I have always maintained, shame on them and shame on those who defend them.
  6. I would like to see some of our resident Tory apologists defend this. The Tory Government is attacking the foundations of our democracy and they are getting away with it. Anyone who values democracy and fairness should put aside all other political leanings and ensure that this corrupt self serving bunch who masquerade as a political party are kicked out at the earliest opportunity.
  7. Am I the only one to be happy Leicester are struggling,
  8. Why would JWP join a championship side, that’s where the toon are headed. He has is distractors on here but anyone with a footballing brain knows JWP is not a bad player, .
  9. As a lifelong fan who has never lived in the city, I have had spells in Fareham and Gosport and have strong family connections with the city, I disagree with your "If you do not live in or around Southampton then you have no claim to be a Saints fan nor be a member of this forum, there I said it!". I do agree with you that Southampton has far more to offer than some think. For the West Ham game two of my sons, two friends and myself stayed the weekend and had a great time. It had been a long time since I had a night out in Southampton and none of us were disappointed. My 2 sons are also Saints fans who have never lived in the city, one was sadly born in that shithole to the east. I think after 60 years I have a very good claim to be a Saints fan.
  10. Not easy, as has been said could pick 2 different but outstanding teams Peter Shilton Tino Livramento Virgil Van Dyke Mark Wright Wayne Bridge Steve Williams Alan Ball Matt Le Tissier Mick Channon Alan Shearer Subs: Ron Davies, Ivan Golac, Terry Paine, Dean Richards, Antti Niemei
  11. No it is not there job to help the country in civil matters, there role is the defence of the realm, a totally non political role. There is legislation to request military aid in support civil problems. The military are not an arm of government they are an arm of the crown.
  12. It is not the role of the armed forces to bail ou political incompetence. They are already overstretched and saving this incompetent governments face is not their job.
  13. This, the reactions of some on here are hilarious
  14. Agree, there is true old saying you have to play what is in front of you, we were excellent and completely disrupted their game, Ralph just might know a bit more about this game than some on here think.
  15. Yes aren’t they funny,
  16. Brilliant we may actually have a defence dispite the expert views on here
  17. He needed an excuse because his team were shite, and 3 yellows suggests they were hardly playing fair.
  18. Definitely need a change in personnel
  19. Pissed off but that was a quality goal,
  20. As always overly optimistic at the start of the season, 2 - 1 Saints.

It’s reasonable to say the war was won, sadly as so often the peace was lost aka WW1 / WW2, Iraq, and many more. Trump pulled out for political gain not for a safer world, the US led coalition started it but sadly as in so many cases they were unable to complete it.
  22. I don’t see us as relegation scrappers, we do need a consistent goal scoring forward. I predict 13th - 10th.
  23. That was a tough watch, but England were the better team. I am very hopeful for the final as I think Italy will not handle our attack as well as Denmark did, the big ? is can our defence handle Italy.

They are not filling a hole they are extending our options. I am sure railway men, hostlers and farriers asked what hole motor cars were filling when we already had steam locomotion and hoarses. You are bang on that neither bikes nor scooters should be on pavements. On what do you base your assertion that e scooters are less safe on the road than a bike?

Any death on the road is a tragedy, however if the reasons for “banning” something is it’s potential to cause death the 100 plus cycling deaths a year would suggest that the licra mafia should be outlawed. Life is full of risk if we avoid everything that has risk attached the world will standstill. I also note you UK example was in 2019, do you have any more recent examples, especially as they are far more common now. I do mean to diminish the tragedy of the death.
