  1. So are you a behavioural psychologist special trained to work out someone’s social class from a few random photographs? My sister a 63 year old widow who works in a low paid job was there with her son a carpenter and his girlfriend a school TA. Sadly I could not make this historic event but as a council house kid who failed the divisive 11plus I fully support it aims. Your ability to judge people based on bitter prejudice is reason enough to hold your views in contempt.

  3. Could not agree more, pay peanuts get either monkeys or villains. I realise £70k ish sounds a lot to most of us ordinary folk, but it is not a true reflection of the task we ask of our MPs.
  4. But we keep being told that all leave voters knew what they were voting for, I am sorry but if as you allude to they did not even understand the basis and legality of the vote, then asking me to believe they ALL knew what they were voting for is, as our absent LDH would say, Pony. When this is conflated with the known abuses of electoral law and funding in any other scenario a re-run of the vote would be a certainty.
  5. Instead of going to Brussels she should be going to the Palace to resign, worst PM in history
  6. What like May and her Deal Votes, I am sorry but that is exactly what democracy is, always reviewing and ensuring that the right things are being done, when our knowledge and understanding of something changes our answers and solutions change.
  7. That is the most Pony like statement in the history of this thread.
  8. Excellent post, thoughtful and insightful
  9. So you now claim to speak for all leave voters. A number (6) of leave voting friends of mine who voted for a number of reasons but in the main they voted as a protest, 5 of the 6 would now change their vote as they acknowledge they did not fully appraise themselves fully of the facts, so the oft stated leaver slogan “we knew what we were voting for” is PONY
  10. Not everyone who voted leave is a racist, but every racist voted leave.
  11. Leavers only care about one thing, leaving, people’s lives, jobs and welfare are secondary.
  12. A This in spades, and the ideological leavers are now rewriting the history of their own campaign, sadly they seem to have as many different versions as there are leavers.
  13. Thing is great numbers are not needed, the margin was small so as in most elections the battle is over a small number of floating voters. No one expects the Leave fundamentalists, the Empire craving oldies or the brainwashed far right thugs to change their minds, they won and no matter how bad that victory may turn out to be its winning what counts don't ya know.
  14. What can you possiblly find funny. The rise in racism is real and should be deplored by any right thinking person.
  15. Any quitters defending the rich quitter!!
  16. Obviously dickhead Dyson has seen th writing on the wall and has chosen to move his HQ from the U.K. to Singapore. Hypocrisy of the highest order, and leavers will still argue the rosy garden is just around the corner.
  17. Do you remember when we were told: a trade deal with the EU would be the easiest in history, that the NHS would get £350m a week, that Liam Fox would have 42 trade deals signed of by the time we leave, if the result is close its not over, ...........
  18. A and led to 3 wars and ongoing terroism and insurgency, innocent people are still paying with their lives.
  19. Agree,
  20. I agree a lot will be written about him, however it will not in the main show him a good light. As you say it will be written by proper historians, experts even.
  21. He will certainly go down in history, not for any achievement but for his destructive, regressive version of politics. A sel promotionalist who takes responsibility for nothing and gives nothing.
  22. G I was ignoring you and your arrogance, however your inability to acknowledge a man who gave great service to his country, as a Royal Marine, MI6 intelligence officer, fearless politician and internationally respected diplomat says so much about your self appointed sense of superiority and does nothing to detract from the life of a good man. How will your obituary compare?
  23. If any of our current crop,in any party, were half the person Paddy was, we would not be in the mess we are. RIP a great human, a patriot and a man of courage and conviction.
  24. So you are saying that even if she wins the vote it is actually the "Party Bigwigs" who will decide she has to resign, great to see democracy in action in the Tory party!
  25. Leave voters are not homogeneous entity tough are they, and we are all free to change our minds, neither you nor me have any idea how many leave voters there are in the country as of the 12 December 2018, it has been very well demonstrated that the leave vote was made up of a wide range of views; Those ideologically opposed to the EU or the hard Brexiters, those who are/were concerned about sovereignty, protest voters, those harping back to the golden era that never existed, and racists because if one thing is certain, not everyone who voted leave is a racist, but every racist voted leave and innumerable other reasons. You cannot set yourself up as the spokesperson for all leave voters any more than I can claim to represent all remain voters.
