    Lucas Biglia

I don't want anything to do with any player that is kept out of a team by Roque Santa Cruz or Javier Saviola, let alone *both* of them...
  2. This. Change at Clapham Junction and take the Overground north, either get off at Imperial Wharf and walk up, or get off at West Brompton (next stop) and walk down. Makes no sense to go into Waterloo just to come back out again. Carnaby St is in Soho - miles from Chelsea
  3. When you get a Sky package, your channels will fall into one of two categories: - premium, ie all the Sky branded stuff, and a few others - free to air, ie all the rest You're actually only paying for the stuff that Sky provide - all the rest (eg the ITV/C4 channels) are free anyway, Sky just provide you with a way of watching them via the box. When you cancel Sky, they won't come and take your kit away, they'll just downgrade your card so it no longer descrambles the premium channels. So your Sky box essentially becomes a Freesat box. Conversely, a (branded) Freesat box is just a Sky box that can only decode the free to air channels. Presumably you already have a spare Sky box if you have multiroom at your current address. So all you need to do is run a length of decent co-ax from the dish to your second box, and you will essentially have Sky in your main room and Freesat in your second room.
  4. He's a very young man, adapting to life and football in an entirely new country. Added to which he's come to a club that has also massively struggled to adapt to its new environment. And some people are surprised that he's not ripping up every match? Virtually no players who come in from abroad perform to their full ability in their first PL season. Players like Drogba, Essien, Ronaldo, Henry, all had shaky first seasons (or in some cases longer) before they properly found their feet. Ramirez is young enough and technically good enough to perform at that sort of level. He has shown in some games that he has the natural ability to be one of the best players in the league, he just needs development and experience. I would far rather have it that way round than the other (ie a player who was 6/10 every match, but never any more). Otherwise let's go out and sign today's Rory Delap/Paul Telfer again.
  5. QPR are done. Don't be fooled by a lucky win over Chelsea. Lampard's perfectly good goal being disallowed and Benitez's tactical incompetence have far more to do with it. QPR have Spurs at home next, West Ham away, and then City at home. They will get 2 points at absolute best out of that lot, leaving them on no more than 15 by the time February starts. Harry will whinge and moan about a lack of 'passion' and committment whilst simultaneously slating the very players that have even a chance to keep them up (if he hasn't fallen out with one or both of Cisse and Taraabt by then I'll be amazed). They'll pick up another point, max, in February, and after we roll them over in an initially nervy but ultimately comfortable win at St Mary's on 2nd March (3-1 after going 0-1 down to a calamity glol) we'll be 10-12 points clear of them and wondering what the fuss was all about. We can also go a very long way towards nailing Villa's coffin lid shut by beating them convincingly next weekend.
  6. I take it you're not an accountant then...
  7. An interesting one, and one that highlights a potential loophole in the EPPP. It seems ludicrous (*if* the supposition is accurate - a very big if) that despite having a Cat One academy, we could have an academy player taken away from us at a fixed fee without our consent, potentially by a club with a lower rated academy, when the whole point of EPPP is to ensure young players spend as much time as possible at the highest rated clubs. I would assume that provision is in place (or if not already, will be hastily implemented) within the EPPP to say that this rule only applies to 'buying' clubs with a higher rated academy than the 'selling' club. Otherwise the incentive to get to Cat One is completely undermined.
  8. About time. The only way this is going to change is if high profile players/clubs start taking some action that will actually negatively affect the idiots doing it in the first place. Did the rest of his teammates follow him off? Be a shame if they didn't. Unfortunately the end result will probably be FIFA fining the opposing team £500 for racist behaviour... and Prince Boateng £50,000 for violent conduct
  9. Only if Adel Taraabt's not available
  10. Actually in United's case you can go one better - it can't be the training top, as their training kit carries DHL as a sponsor, not AON
  11. The bog standard way of showing respect to your old club nowadays seems to be not to celebrate when you score. Exceptionally classy of both Theo and Ox to take it that one step further and not try to score.
  12. Im not sure if you're trying to be facetious or something, but that is true of anything. It's not theft to take someone else's property if the state says its okay, for example. That's sort of how a legal system works.
  13. No - because by definition, justifiable homicide isn't murder.
  14. Alternatively... Just run an HDMI out from your desktop to your TV...
  15. Doubt it, he wasn't that great the first time round and definitely wouldn't get in ahead of Clyne

    Plebs

What does an 'angry confrontation' look like on CCTV?
  17. if you can wait until a bit later I'll PM you.
  18. Or just download chrome
  19. Unfortunately it seems to be a growing trend on here. The number of posters whose sole intention seems to be behaving like an attention-starved four year old grows apparently by the day. Back on point, I've just had my first 12 weeks ago. Myself and my wife both sneak in just under 50k, so as far as I know we fall into that 'loophole' and it won't affect us. The money will just go into a savings pot for the little one anyway, it may go a tiny way to offset the massive imbalance in relation to the taxes we have paid/will pay (ie lots) and the benefits (with a small b) we receive (ie little). That said, I would be happy with the entire Child Benefit system being scrapped, along with much of the welfare state. There's an interesting article on the guardian website today about how the government spends its money, and a staggering amount is on Benefits. And in the last decade or so ive personally seen an overwhelming amount of abuse, either by people blatantly claiming what theyre not entitled to, or by generations of families existing solely on benefits. The welfare state should be there to help people in need - it shouldn't be a lifestyle choice for a societal underclass. Problem is, a swathe of people have now been born and bred aspiring to nothing more.
  20. either that... Or Redknapp's a pathological lying self-aggrandising ****? I don't know which to believe to be honest...
  21. Go to samknows.com and choose the Exchange Checker. Stick your postcode in and it will tell you which providers have LLU enabled at your exchange. These will be the ones that you will get the best deals from. Anyone else will only be able to sell you a BT Wholesale Connect product (ie BT ADSL rebranded), so you'll never get it cheap.
  22. You have to be in the UK/ROI (or tunnel to a host in the UK)
  23. Better players than Cork have performed consistently for much longer and have been ignored.
