  1. Also went to see the match. Sue is correct about the lack of pressure around our box that led to the goals. We had one shot cleared off the line and one shot hit the post in the first four minutes. Pretty even first half apart from the goals, Leicester were the better side in the second half. We lost a defender early on to what looked a bad injury. Callum Slattery is not yet 16, I reckon he will make his first team debut within two years, class player.
  2. Echo that. I have enjoyed watching you play. A very tidy footballer, Swansea should suit you well. Good luck and thanks for the memories.
  3. From the comments at the press conference yesterday we have clearly been negotiating with two clubs regarding potential replacements before Jack was authorised to leave.
  4. Similar but better article in the Times today.
  5. Thanks Jack. Two good spells at the club. I have enjoyed watching him play. Hope it works out, Swansea seem an ideal team for him to join.
  6. Ronald did not look or sound too happy about the Jack Cork situation in the official press conference. As above Gary Monk comes over very well. Got a good feeling about Sunday, so I wont be putting a tenner on Swansea!
  7. Perhaps they did, and that is why they thought they better come and see us to get themselves cleansed!
  8. Attention all Mini Soccer and Tyro rep managers. Please look at and listen to the video under the question "the most important behaviour for a youth soccer coach".
  9. The True Geordie must be quaking in his boots at such competition!
  10. Interesting article. Not sure how we compete with this bit though? Answers below please .... Beyond exporting this brand across new platforms across the world, when the 35 to 50 million visitors from around the world visit Roma, we want a Roma match in the new stadium to be on the list of things to do. The Colosseum, the Pantheon, and the Stadio della Roma for a match. - See more at: http://www.soccerex.com/news/2015/01/roma%E2%80%99s-digital-revolution#sthash.vEZSZzux.dpuf
  11. An epic worthy of THE epic. Great summary.
  12. And you can add to those positive attributes a very high work rate. Like Morgan he puts in the yards on the pitch and does not just rely on the fact that he reads the game so well.
  13. Come on Monk, you are a coach, give us your view. Are you doing this as part of a coaching assignment? Some interesting comments above, better than the usual standard.
  14. Not sure that that is correct. Two points a game is CL qualifying form. I cannot think of too many occasions when all the "top six" had that form over a season. If we maintain this form we would qualify in any season.
  15. Two points a game over the season is CL form, we are achieving that so far, continue that form and we will be there. Why not!
  16. I am sure you will find that there is a clear demarcation for the defenders and the goalie. Forster deliberately stays on his line if the cross is going outside the six yard box. Watch the warm ups, the same thing happens during this period. If the ball is outside the six yard box it is the defenders responsibility.
  17. From the fixtures we have left we only got 19 points from these corresponding games last year. I would think that we will exceed that this season, we could even get 30 points from these games
  18. The pitch was dead and that as much as anything defined the way we played. Portman Road always had a really good playing surface, but not now. We were always in control and it was a very professional job, enjoy this, Saints have never looked so clinical. Yes we were greedy in the area at times, but as I said the players found it difficult to get the ball out of their feet at times, there were also a number of passes hit behind the intended target for the same reason. If Ipswich go up the people I feel sorry for are our groundsman who are committed to replicating the playing surfaces of our Premier League opposition at Staplewood.
  19. Sorry to be a pedant, but BG and British Gas are two different companies! BG Group is an upstream international gas major, British Gas is mainly domestic supply. But back to the topic, get fit soon Toby and sign that contract. You have been great this season.
  20. This article by Rory Smith is discussing how the philosophy, The Southampton Way, is enabling the club to think smart, not just spend big, to challenge the top clubs. It highlights how other mid range clubs such as Villa should progress by putting the system above the individual rather than changing philosophy every time you change the manager, and emphasises that by pointing out that the club has withstood the loss of Cortese, Pochettino, and Mitchell.
  21. See Japan are in Brisbane next, give Maya a cheer for us all.
  22. Koeman has really installed his legendary winning attitude in the club. What a manager, enjoy the ride!
  23. Regarding the added time: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/11334258/Are-Premier-League-referees-biased-towards-the-big-clubs.html
  24. Depends how far behind the top team is. 1 goal down means about 5 minutes according to a recent survey!
