Yep. Went to see Feyenoord when we were away at Stoke. They lost one nil at home! What Classie will bring is passing accuracy and tempo. His positional play enables him to intercept the ball rather than make lots of tackles. Feyenoord kindly brought Valhena on at half time for us to watch. He looked lively and more direct than the other number 10's we have, and would be cheaper than Djuricic.

I agree, I said on a previous thread that Green is the most overrated keeper since Nicky Weaver.

In slight defence of Vlaar, and in praise of Long, Long was a fair distance from where he ended up tackling Given when Vlaar made the pass. Long ran past a couple of defenders, it was great anticipation by Long, most times the defender would have got away with that. It was not as bad as Toby's effort straight after kick-off which we got away with.

He had a poor first half in the recent cup final, but came back well in the rest of that game. It is good that he has the confidence to try things and if they do not work out have another go. I suspect also that he is one of those that will be doing a lot of upper body work in the next 12 months. He has the talent but physically he is still developing, so hopefully we will see him grow and become a really good player.
