  1. Morgan for me, different class. 2) Lallana 3) Fonte
  2. I will ask him at the players dinner
  3. Is this not a case of the order of payments? Surely all unsecured creditors (including football debts) will be paid X pence in the pound from the available funds as is the law. But separately to regain the golden share, the football debts have to be paid in full to satisfy FL requirements, not insolvency requirements. This money surely must come from new funds, as funds cannot be legally held back for this purpose, all available funds must be used to pay creditors in equal proportions.
  4. Rumour is that Jamie is being released and is off abroad to try his luck. You have to remember he is the same age as Antonio and Morgan, and as you say injuries have stalled his progress
  5. Apart from his miss, Waigo was a different class today. His awareness of others around him, his spotting of space, and his team mates runs is far above nearly all the rest. Really hope he stays, but as he showed today, he can play at a much better level.
  6. It will be interesting to see what is published in the days leading up to the cup final. Will the press revert to football issues or unleash a load of other bad news "stories"?
  7. Understatement of the year award - my vote goes to: St John's Ambulance – Owed £2,701.91 George Ringrow, CEO at St John's Ambulance Hampshire St John's Ambulance provides cover for all Portsmouth home matches, up to 16 staff at a time. "We are committed to making sure that everyone who needs first aid receives it, but as a charity we can't provide first aid services without some contribution towards our costs. We understand that we aren't Portsmouth FC's only creditor and are in discussions with the administrator regarding monies owed and hope that we will be able to move forward."
  8. I seem to recall that the payments are August and January each year, so a team going down this season receives four payments: August 2010, January 2011, August 2011, and January 2012. The new deal they EPL are voting on is for clubs relegated next season, not this season. So the position is worse than the article in the Telegraph suggests. Anyone "in the know" on this?
  9. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/apr/22/portsmouth-football-creditors-money-millionaire David Conn continues he quest to spell it out for the rest
  10. It says in the document that they want to protect their Academy status, yet, they owe significant money to KES, Cowplain School, HMS Collingwood, all academy venues that probably will not count as football debts. The more you look at the list of creditors it seems amazing that more people have not taken them to court, there are a number of significant debts for local businesses. Difficult to defend that they have not been trading insolvently.
  11. So in 2007 they invested £1m in a 26% share of a joint radio venture. Is that where it all went wrong? http://www.uhy-uk.com/media/news/PFC%20-%20Report%20to%20creditors%20Adobe%207.pdf
  12. You wouldn't say that if you went to Wycombe away! Pardew gave up after 20 minutes, subbed Antonio, and put Puncheon back out wide. Would like to see Gillett, but as he has only had two sub appearances so far this season it is highly unlikely.
  13. My partner has just installed satellite broadband in deepest Shropshire, decent speed, twice as fast as mine in Chandler's Ford, but I have one challenge. I cannot see the highlights via the BBC website and get the following message. "Cannot play media. Sorry, this media is not available in your territory" Of course this is the same message that I get when travelling. It appears the Satellite thinks I am either in France or Italy. For those in said countries can you let me know where I can pick up highlights? Presumably the upside is that I may be able to stream the matches I can't get to live on Saturday!
  14. Had to make a last minute trip to Aberdeen yesterday so missed the game, and sadly Morgan scoring. I knew we would be ok last night when I boarded the plane and it was the Matt Le Tissier Flybe plane!
  15. "At its meeting the board of the Football League considered an application for transfer of membership relating to Stockport County," said a League spokesman. "The board was unable to approve the application as presented due to concerns about the proposed business plan and ownership structure. It will be interesting if the league apply the same test to P****y? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/08/stockport-county-takeover-bid-blocked
  16. Great result after being one nil down. Millwall equalised in the 93rd minute, it wont be easy at Yeovil, or at Gillingham who have the best "goals conceded at home" record. But the show is still on the road.
  17. How many years did we go without winning from a goal behind away from home?

  21. there once was a team that was financed by one man who reached the top flight and got to the cup final then disappeared Gretna Is history about to repeat itself south of the border?
  22. Peterborough might not be a threat if there is any substance to this http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/09/darragh-macanthony-peterborough
  23. The ONeil story being raised again, looks like he is on his way out of Middlesbrough this summer. And an update on their *owner" Andronikou also said that the former owner Balram Chainrai, who may represent Portsmouth's best chance of survival if he agrees to take the club out of administration, will travel to London later this week. Andronikou said: "He's flying over at the weekend. He'll probably seek a meeting, though I have not head from him for quite a while now." http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/08/portsmouth-middlesbrough-gary-oneil
  24. Gate revenue sharing and the proposal for limiting players wages to a percentage of the club's income are interesting bedfellows. I think that gate sharing in unlikely, an important part of the business case for various ground expansion projects was that home teams keep the revenues.
  25. Quote ,,, I am general happy with AP but I wish he would CONSIDER getting his wide midfield players to tuck-in when playing against 4-5-1 and then getting the fullbacks to provide the width, not unlike wGS use of Chris M with Wayne overlapping. unquote The problem under WGS was that we never got anyone in the box in any game, that is one of the reasons we had such a good defensive record, we never broke our defensive shape. As you point out, at Wembley we constantly had numbers in the box. The quality of players might not be as good as under WGS but it is a lot more exciting.
