Heavy Handed Northern Constabulary, Any Lawyers on here?
Dangermouth replied to Viking Warrior's topic in The Lounge
No idea what the Scottish equivalent is, but should pretty much mirror this: P A C E . Yes, they were far too heavy-handed and a complaint should be made if you want but unsure if a solicitor will get involved for you because they're usually only after cash although Scots ones are slightly better than English because they can't/don't make as much (on the whole). Agree you should get details of the other person if you can. If you can prove (easy enough) that you don't know each other and you're not in collusion then your case is greatly strengthened. CCTV goes missing/gets wiped etc asap. Suggest you ring up the airport and take names, details and times of people you speak to and tell them to ensure it is kept and preserved if you're going that far. Then your sol, if you're not doing it on your own, will need to apply to have copies sent or have it viewed immediately. You want to get moving early to preserve the evidence. Did you state at the time you intended to complain (suspect not) and obtain names and numbers of the plod, to whom they report (officer in charge and station) and did you obtain details of the person in charge of the airport? Suspect not, for obvious reasons, but might want to get them now. That's just for starters and don't forget to throw the Human Rights Act at them as they're plainly in breach of that. Or you might just want to write a snotty letter to the Chief Constable and / or the press and see what they have to say - the cheap/quick way to make a nuisance of yourself/feel better and then put it to bed (unlikely much'll happen which is a shame as there do seem to be a fair few coppers about just wanting to throw their weight around). -
Going to Wigan away- what is the cheapest way to do it?

Try checking out the budget airlines e.g. Flybe and then look at local transport. Might get a deal to make it more worthwhile than the £100 return the train'll cost. -
Saints 1 Arsenal 1 - Post Match Reactions & MotM

Agree with Lawro: what little 'push' there was would hardly have made any difference - defender had cocked it up anyway and made out he'd been shot. Should have been. Ignore Dublin: he knows less than Mark Bright or Robbie Savage (and that's hard!). -
Not a Merson fan, but to fair to him he did say after the Stoke game that RL would be playing for one of the top teams were he faster i.e. he changed his tune. He forgot to mention that he actually is playing for a big team, however, but he'll get there ...

Well the only other team to have both development teams reach the elite stages of their respective competitions was Man U. So I guess that our coaching set up just fails as soon as the first team get involved.
-
Let's ignore the oft-quoted aim of SFC to have 50% of the first team as having come from the academy, shall we? Makes me think there's no point anyone talking to the press because no one listens anyway. Must be why SFC are now tighter than ... (insert choice here).

Fulham 1 Saints 1 - Post Match Reactions & MotM
Dangermouth replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
The reason he does this is because when he gets the ball, like kids in the playground the team run away from him rather than look for a short give and go or intricate interplay. He'd do far better in Man City's team than most of our lot for this reason. That observation is based on the 2nd half of today's performance only btw, but if it's been replicated elsewhere then you can see why he struggles. As well as getting closed down by at least 2 players each time. -
Don't see Stoke as a confidence team. Would like them to win and get complacent, if they do react in any way to the result and it has an effect on Saturday's game.

Fulham 1 Saints 1 - Post Match Reactions & MotM

When the ball comes to the front players they're either usually too slow to get to it, conditions aside which makes it shift a bit more when it hits the deck, or they're facing back the way they've come and don't come short for balls from Ramirez which is mostly what he likes to play. RL and Saints' lack of pace shows when the through ball goes through and we can't get on the end of it. If/when we get the proper link-up play in between the forward(s) e.g. RL and support quickly we can be very good. But it seems we only do that for a few minutes per game. Fulham will struggle this season, Stoke will be murder on Saturday- I'd rest anyone who's lightweight/can play and just try to slug it out. Boruc up front? -
Assuming the 2nd half of the season is like the first, could be anyone from 13 down who ends up not making it. And 35 points might be enough for safety.

While I expect to get nowt out of Phil, is he going to say now if Chinny is a good idea or still to be considered as Devil-spawn by the blue phew (sic)? As for AS: seems it's actually pretty common and most people who have it at the lower end of the spectrum are just 'odd'. So perhaps... And doesn't this Sarah woman have something to do with the small group that want to, and have for some time now, set up a phoenix club? And finally, does it now look as though that is how things'll pan out up there?
-
Well, as he's not even made the bench the last couple of games he'll obviously be back and looking at the teams he might be interested in e.g. Swindon, Brentford, Stevenage he's going to have to take a massive drop in wages I would think. So he'll join Dickson and claim his wages until he's 30 then (if you're being cynical). When he was off for so long with the hand injury/court case etc does anyone know how he reacted? He didn't make the squad much, from memory, so I think it's been odds-on since Sharp was signed that his future was likely to be elsewhere.

some interesting stats on the bottom 5 clubs centre forwards

And it also doesn't take into account all the other good work RL does. -
When are the FA likely to think "F this!" and consider withdrawing/not granting a Golden Share?

Er ... 'primordial'? Do you mean 'important'? That word has me all confused; sorry

He might well be taller. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luke_Shaw Just as easy to go and check before stating what you 'know', unless you do, perhaps?
