Will you be training your secretary to set your alarm for you?

Don't think much of him. Reason he's done well is cause the defence means he hasn't got to do anything much. I'm not saying he's bad, but I do think that when he's called on to do things over and above what a competent keeper would do (e.g. like Shilton would - i.e. earn you points) he's not up to it. To earn plaudits as a keeper you have to make saves you're not 'expected' to.

A Big Thank You So Far: Steward Perceptions Survey!
Dangermouth replied to dissstudent's topic in The Saints
What exactly is this for? Rail seating? -
Be interesting to see what Redslo makes of this, him being American and a lawyer and all and because it'll help him understand the difficulties of the modern English psyche. Here's a bit from a paper >....http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11226209/Ched-Evans-Sorry-but-all-rapes-are-not-the-same.html . A lot of thought has gone into that and it's not written on his behalf. Juries being crap and miscarriages of justice occur far too often...they let Harry Redknapp off and I have never met anyone who didn't believe he was up to something. And that includes some people who actually knew him. He can't move abroad til his sentence is finished because he's still on parole, but agree he should move abroad regardless. Wherever he works he's a target because his mug's been all over the press and whatever happens he's been branded. I can't see him as a role model unless people are particularly stupid and parents (somehow) will sing his praises. That is unless kids nowadays are especially stupid and don't understand right and wrong at all. I can't see how 2.5 years in prison can be said to be 'getting away with it'. I can't see how anyone could be so stupid as to want to then play football in this country and expect anyone to want him/her, certainly as matters stand. He might stand a chance if he wins his appeal, but really I think emigration's his only real choice. Whether sentencing needs to be looked at is another matter, but perhaps the debate should be raised. A petition could easily get it debated in Parliament now. I would hope that even the most rabid right-winger could distinguish between the facts as known of this case and one that happened not too long ago in Rochdale and treat them differently. In that one an elderly woman (70s or older) went to get her pint of milk at 7am. She was very badly beaten and raped. That's not an argument for him, if people are so stupid as to think that it is but to help contextualise this case relative to many that are almost too abhorrent for words. I would think the likes of SOG might well even know of worse ... so perhaps before considering the sentence you might want to consider what those who brought it in took on board in so doing.

I like your description of HR as "untranscribable". Any chance when you post about a new post that you turn it into a link from the post? Makes life easier for us lazy ones.

Has everyone forgotten about Florin Gardos?
Dangermouth replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
Koeman likes 3 5 2 and this player likes to bring the ball out. There is a lot written on him on the thread when he signed that most of you have forgotten because it wasn't two minutes ago. -
Your blog is far too practical and sensible. I imagine some people are only happy when they're complaining which is why some players are given a poor reception regardless. That and too many people react with emotion and can't dissociate one thing from another, etc, etc. In some ways not unlike attending an American Football game but with no direction (e.g. sponsors' awards, occasional 'dance-offs', etc so they're left to their own devices. It's as much a reaction that many English would have as opposed to simply Saints fans.

Why do people like headless chicken wingers (Zaha, Townsend, that Norwich one) so much? It's about decision-making and intelligence, not running into dead alleys like Jack Wilshire. Think how well JWP played at the world cup under 20s (?) recently and compare his style to that of most of the others, including the headless ... .

It's a big improvement on his previous piece and a good read. Really should get the English right unless there's a point for the errors cause obviously a journo is a master of language (and no, I'm not taking the ******).
-
Isn't there a section where the blogs (this, -10, and George Weah) can be kept in a stickied area or something? Makes it easier to find and they're all good reads even though very different.
-
I think his injury record is poor and he dives a lot. Those are the good things I have to say about him.

...never mind. Subtlety and intellectualism are lost on this forum (same goes to Enskied). But nice to read a different view anyroad.

I disagree. In your narrow-minded, blinkered, programmed response way it may well be but its root is simply the English-speaking world's truncating of the word "Argentinian" with the suffix "ie", pronounced "ee" which occurs all the time and shows itself as an extreme in the plethory of anagrams that exist in current 'business' English. While its meaning is, of course, culture-bound and situation specific and so to ascribe something from the outside is more your overlaying your own views on others. The classic example is the male, often working-class (but nothing wrong with that, is there?), use of what is apparently invective as a means of showing familiarisation and friendship.

Why do we only get details about his ex-gf when we search for him? Troll?

Pivot =/= defensive midfielder (for which Cork is mentioned) - Telegraph. Assuming you can read rather than look at squiggly shapes on a white background and then make up your own interpretation ...

Ex-Saint Reeves named in Northern Ireland squad
Dangermouth replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Though MK fans and even fans of other teams think he's a bit good and can probably play at a higher level. -
Probly didn't like the pie.

Don't understand the use of the word 'delta' in post #20 above: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Delta That said, MP seems to use cups as an exercise to try out the younger players so a spine of the older ones and at least 4-6 newer ones.

When are Hoov-it's and Fox's contracts up? Will we at least see them gone forever at the end of the season?

Thank you. Will check it out. Liked their video about the rebuilding of the pub after Katrina. -
Do they have somewhere to do this or just stream from the internet while staying in a hotel?
