Pelle Set to Leave For China - Telegraph
Dangermouth replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
Interesting, isn't it? We get rid of our first Italian national team striker who now is so far up his arse it's next Tuesday and get someone who didn't start off as one but now goes with them to the European Championships. -
The one that we qualify from before winning the thing.

K.Billy: "5 players want to leave this Summer"
Dangermouth replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Not fussed with any of them. As Koeman has said "Show ambition" i.e. replace them with better so that we can challenge at the very top of the table and in the cups/Europe. -
So Standard Liege, Feyenoord and Viitorul Constanta/Lille please.
-
Seeing as we've outdone all these 2nd rate teams I think we should do as Pochettino said and think like a big club: close this thread and not worry about lesser players going to lesser teams.
-
Agree. Think he's no longer good enough for us.

Might have wanted to proof-read your comment before criticising his lack of command of anything, including our once-glorious language As it's a past tense reference there is no reason at all to make it the continuous present. Making a pluperfect is a strange one but it is actually better than your version unless you want to describe events in the past as though you're recounting something in a particular way e.g. a memory as a story whereby you impliedly take you and the reader back to watch the past action as though it were in the present as you watched/experienced it. 'Ground' on its own would be better as it tells the story as a past, concluded action and his actually does push it further back into the past and make it a concrete event. Anyway, I'm sure you knew all this being good at English n'all and you can at least make a paragraph which I think is anathema to The News' typesetting machine.

RK has said he will stay 3 years and he will. He probably won't sign a new contract. Just like he did at Feyenoord. Then he'll possibly do his national team.

There is a trophy that someone can lift for being league winner. 2 of the possible candidates are at the same venue, the third isn't. The third is most likely to get it however. That aside, however, where do you go: where there is a 2/3 chance of it happening or a 1/3? The bit about not letting Brighton lift it is silly but it would probably mean a presentation in front of 500 fans so might not be a particularly good thing. No real reason not to, however.

Pretend YOU can spend £60M on summer transfers

Gets my vote. -
How much do I trust the board? Why? Do they want to borrow a tenner?
-
Will you post regular updates here?

Brighton, Burnley, Hull.
-
Have you approached the club?
-
I like his balance, quick feet and even quicker brain. We should have more players like this.
-
Only saw a bit. That O'Connor kid looked to have a bit about him.
-
That would be the key striker who has attracted stories for a long while now and several recently that comment upon his hardly ever playing? Key, as in 'warms the bench'? Wtf are you talking about?
-
I'd bring in Jan Poortvliet (and a defensive coach).
-
Interesting. What does he say about Clasie, Romeu, Austin? What about our u21s?
-
Agree with WG: the back leg was caught. However, he'd already kicked the floor and lost control of the ball so ... I wouldn't have given it (unless the rules force you to).
-
True. He does seem to possess a degree of 'football intelligence' too.
