  1. Ok used squwaka as another option given its easy comparison style.
  2. Yeah 100% agree, stats just form a benchmark hence i just grabbed the 1st comparison tool I found. I think we will buy Clasie is Morgan goes as was widely reported during the summer. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-plan-jordy-clasie-transfer-3903311
  3. Jordie Clasie was in tears at the end of the game and the Feyanoord fans think that he is definitely off this year for sure.
  4. Doh thanks, I remember Man City were releasing their playing data so they could get fans to utilise sabermetrics all they had to do was register online, anyone know how that went ?
  5. Hahahaha given the love for Football Manager I reached out for something that can be used as a basis for comparison for our midfield v potential targets. I wasn't saying recruit so and so due to their football ratings I was using 1 tool to review the same group of players to compare. Happy to use another basis if anyone has their own blackbox handy
  6. Didn't want to hijack the jack cork thread with this so just thought i'd start one to start one that compares our current midfielders with ones we are linked with as a comparison for those that are interested. As a basis for comparison I made Matic as the "current" most well regarded DM in the premier league who has 8 beast ratings (green) and is currently is rated 82 on Fifa 15 http://www.futhead.com/15/players/1044/nemanja-matic/ Current: Morgan is rated as 81, he has 6 beast ratings (green) his strengths are stamina, passing, tackling and interceptions - http://www.futhead.com/15/players/11832/morgan-schneiderlin/ Vic is rated 75, he has 6 beast ratings (green) his strengths are stamina, aggression, stamina and shot power - http://www.futhead.com/15/players/16593/victor-wanyama/ Cork is rated 75, he has 0 beast ratings (green) his strengths are stamina, short passing, tackling and interceptions - http://://www.futhead.com/15/players/9864/jack-cork/ Harry is rated 62 but has potential 77, he has 1 beast rating (green) his strengths are balance, agility and short passing - http://://www.futhead.com/15/career-mode/players/9695/harrison-reed/ Potential: Clasie is rated 76 but has potential 81, he has 5 beast ratings (green), his strengths are balance, stamina, ball control - http://://www.futhead.com/15/career-mode/players/7772/jordy-clasie/ Vilhena is rated 73, he has 1 beast rating (green), his strengths are ball control, reactions - http://www.futhead.com/15/players/198/tonny-vilhena/
  7. This game is getting tasty, clasie looking immense, ajax players doing some world class play acting, some classic Klinsman dives from goalie and midfielders. Toby A presented to the crowd with Daley Blind so the fans said thank you at half time.
  8. Hey even Cork ended up scoring eventually, miracles do happen
  9. We have more money than all of those teams according to Deloitte as we all know cash is king for footballers, CL is the excuse they make when leaving clubs for teams in or chasing CL qualification.
  10. I don't actually worry about losing any of our players anymore and I don't think we should in the future. If you look at Ajax, Porto and recently Feyanoord they lose a lot of their team every summer to various leagues and use that wealth to continuously improve. If we get 15mil for Clyne I'd take it.
  11. hahahaha I did chuckle when I saw his name. 0-0 in the game so far near half time, always remember living in Amsterdam and going to the Ajax area plenty of times. Feyanoord on top so far and Mark Wotte doing the co-commentary
  12. Will watch this today to see our potential "signings" for the summer http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11907/9656529/ajax-v-feyenoord-six-players-to-look-out-for-in-sundays-de-klassieker-live-on-sky-sports
  13. Get Millk or Guidetti
  14. 1st season in a foreign league and he's contributed more than AL has to liverpool this year. Think its natural he is fatigued, he did have an awesome start and only scored the winner in Man U a couple of games ago.
  15. You think thats bad I see Harrison Reed is 1.81 on virtually all major websites He must have the same team as Tom Cruise
  16. Nice article mate, I look forward to seeing if MLG can find out about the Toby wage issue.
  17. Great article and it sums up why Redknapp and his ilk are dinosaurs.
  18. Year poor old Hans really hates De Boer
  19. Article from back in Sept (post transfer window) on the best young players in the Eredivisie. http://www.just-football.com/2014/09/eredivisie-best-young-players-to-watch-2014-15-the-10-series-talents/ Some names I've not heard of before so very interesting.
  20. Yeah and Toby was beyond us as a signing this summer, I think we can all agree we need another pure target man forward we have JRod/Sadio/Elia/Tadic/Long who are all very similiar.
  21. Surely as our feeder club we have the first right of refusal for all Celtic players even if they are on loan http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/english/john-guidetti-a-target-for-southampton-1-3667890
  22. I reckon I can claim getting involved in the saga starting back in July, I really rate JG.
  23. Tancredi Palmeri ‏@tancredipalmeri 4m4 minutes ago Osvaldo went missing: in last 48hours the forward hasn't showed up at Inter camp and nobody knows where he is at the moment. Johnnydeppesque
  24. We will finish on 72pts if our points per game average from the season so far is applied to the last 16 games which I think after 22 games isn't a bad mean to base our predictions on. The thing I don't understand (please enlighten moi) is why everyone keeps quoting betting odds like they are a fundamental basis for the future as all the betting companies do is adjust the odds as a reaction to the money that's being placed on them. These odds vary daily based on newspaper story's, injuries and signings that occur at the time which then incite people to bet a certain way. For instance we were nailed on fighting for relegation at the beginning of the season according to the same sources quoted above and reflected in the bookmakers odds. They can see the future as well as the lookout on the Titanic can see icebergs. Top 4 will be extremely tough for us yes based purely on squad depth and from my perspective we have stopped getting goals out of Graziano but we are currently better placed than Arsenal/ManU/Spurs/Liverpool currently based on fixtures and points, its always better to be in front rather than reclaim points especially when your fixture list is about to get hectic. Muppet Alert July 2014 - Sky Bet Football Trader Jamie Munro said: "The combination of their mass sales and the fact that we’ve seen more money on them than any other club in our relegation betting has forced us to slash their odds considerably. "It's unprecedented to cut a Premier League club's relegation odds by more than half without a ball being kicked but the betting in our Transfer Specials suggests the situation is only going to get worse. "Schneiderlin and Rodriguez have been well backed to join Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham and there's little to suggest reinforcements are on the way, while Ronald Koeman's lack of Premier League experience is also cause for concern." http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/165/9398282/southampton-slashed-for-relegation
  25. I heard that Bearsy would like us to go for Szczesny as a back up keeper as he reckons he is guaranteed to cover himself in glory after he saw what he did in our game, don't see it myself
