Pehaps there are similarities between us and the Leeds side that continualy underachieved and found it tough to get out of this league. I think there are, imo.

No,i can't see us going up.Truly hope i am wrong. We appear to have underperforming players that show no consistancy and desire to show their full potential. Unlike last season, everytime we took to the field we looked as though we could win against anyone...and comfortably at times, especially in the second half of the season. Now ,we appear mediocre at best and without the same commitment and belief. Perhaps we have found our level, mediocre middle of the table side. We played well against Tranmere,a **** poor side on the day. I don't think Adkins will get the players playing to their full potential, for whatever reason that maybe. Quite possibly they won't/can't do it for him in the same way as Pardew...who knows. Good luck Adkins you are going to need it,however, i think time will be against you.

I recentley moved from Virgin Media to Sky in August. The reason being Virgin disabled my Email account when they migrated to using google apps,no warning and they admitted their mistake in accidentally 'losing' the account. From June to August i phoned many times and i was constantly fobbed off with it will be reinstated in 5 days and the 'engineers' were working on it. I was paying £20 a month for broadband and that was all. I then had a sky rep round,i signed up to the £19 per month TV,everyday lite Broadband and free weekend calls from midnight friday to midnight sunday package. I also too out the TV Knowledge and Variety pack both for an extra £1 per month. Luckily i had a BT line and box installed prior so they activated it remotely. All easily set up and i am astounded at the service i have received after using Virgin. Skys online service is great,(mysky.com)i just added the music channels and kids channels also, just by doing it online and they were on my Tv straight away again a quid each. You do pay £11 a month for the phone and one thing to be careful of is if you use over 2 mg on the free broadband pack they will upgrade you and you will then pay £7.50 a month. They do inform you in advance and say that if you continue to use over the 2mg for five months you will be upgraded. All in all i do pay more by about £10 per month but the services i get are great. I have the Sky HD+ box which is superb thus far. I was amazed at what Virgin were offering me when i cancelled with them...oh and they said they could fix my email account straightaway, perhaps they should've done that 3 months prior!

We should've employed Tony Mowbrey (sp).

These were my sentiments the moment he was installed. Hope he proves me wrong, but until such times, i will be consistant with my stance of remaining 'underwhelmed' I can still see Adkins being shown the door sooner rather than later.

Before we had even kicked a ball in anger some were hailing his appointment as a masterstroke There appeared to be no middle ground with some, the posibility of him not turning out to be the new messiah would not be entered into. The job he did at Scunny and what lies ahead of him here are worlds apart. Good luck to him.

We beat a **** poor Tranmere side. I remain to be convinced that Adkins is,to many on here,so bloody great.
-
I presume for the posibility that had they accepted a prior offer, which would have given a return to Hicks and Gillet

of $1.6 billion, and have been granted an injuction bt a court in Texas against the company that wants to buy liverpool. They state also that RBS are part of the "conspiracy" to sell the club without allowing them to recoup their initial investment or have some of the equity once the club is sold. They now also disclose a third bidder that was willing to shell out £4m but they both claim that this offer was not even considered by the board, this offer was too include a new stadium also. Has no one told them that rarely you make any money from owning a football club. They are clinging on by their finger nails and in my view don't deserve to get their money back.

Oh dear god that is a bit cringeworthy, imo. Just reminds me of one of those 'end of the pier' face in the whole saucy postcard things.

Unseen footage.....hilarious, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhrgwUNpVQk&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgHh42aTK7w&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZaHKgGuNOw&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3 From Gervais' blog....... Originally Posted by Ricky Gervais A Confession Some people have correctly spotted that An Idiot Abroad is totally scripted. It took ages to write too. Casting was a lot harder too. Just finding that indian actor that looked like Bill Oddie took 8 weeks. It was also a bit embarrassing auditioning people and asking them to wrap their ****s round a walking stick. Still, it will all be worth it when Steve and I win all the BAFTAs again for writing and directing. I'm a lot prouder of creating the "Pilkington" character (that's not his real name, of course), than I am of David Brent probably. (Although ironically, David Brent isn't a character at all. I am just like that in real life so I didn't have to write any lines for that one. In fact I didn't realise The Office was a sitcom at the time. The BBC just came to my place of work and filmed me selling paper. I've certainly milked becoming famous off the back of that lucky break, right?) So yeah, Karl is completely fake. When you meet him off camera he's a bit like Steven Fry. We just get him to act dim to make money. All the podcasts and audiobooks were completely scripted too. If you listen carefully you can hear us turning the pages. The good thing about those were that we didn't have to learn the lines by heart as we weren't in vision. A lot easier than in An Idiot Abroad where Karl not only has to learn the whole script but often only gets one take because we only have all those extras for a few hours. The tricky bit is when he's interviewed on radio and TV. We have to get the presenter in on it so they ask him the right questions. Luckily every single one has gone along with it and never given the secret away. Thanks. But I just thought it was time to come clean. I'm ashamed that I ever lied to you. Sorry. "Karl" will find it difficult getting different roles in other scripted comedies and dramas as we have typecast him so much over the last few years, so please buy the audiobooks and DVDs as he will need the money. I'm glad the charade is over as I won't need to pretend to find my best mate funny anymore. It's hard laughing at lines you've written yourself. Obviously I don't find him funny at all and we are not really friends. Thanks for watching all this time suckers, and well done to the really smart people who knew all this all along. You got me! You are brilliant. Ricky.

There were signs last night that he was opening up his 'mind',and i use that term loosely,to other things outside of his own world. "Better to live in a cave and look out on a palace, than live in a palace and look out on a cave" I do prefer his other analogy along the same lines however...."better to be ugly and look at good looking people than be good looking and look at ugly people all day" Very funny, but this episode had a little more 'meaning' behind it,imo. Gervais won't be happy at that,he just wants Pilkington to have the worst time imaginable. Looking forward to next week.Cracking series.

Prince,he is superb live. -
Good, hopefully i will now be able to go into my local pub without him being there with loads of chav like hangers on.

I will not make a judgement on his alledged behaviour until the facts become clearer,if they ever do. However i feel he was somewhat nieve in being in the vicinity of such an establishment which has had a past reputation for undesireables. He is a plum for leaving himself open to finding himself in this predicament. Footballers are human but do have to have a sense of restraint even when provoked, they surely realise they may get some banter be it lighthearted or otherwise. You have two options, rise to the bait or walk away. If he was/was not provoked, and carried out ths alledged attack, either way i will have no sympathy for him and he would deserve whatever the punishment is handed down. I hope the truth comes to light and it is proven that he was not as so heavily involved as some unsubstantiated reports make out.

Did we not try to play the 'the football club is not in admin' ruse? Am i wrong in thinking that Liverpool are trying the same thing, yet it appears the PL are more than happy to accomodate them...... Would we have cause to 'complain' about double standards..... "One urged caution citing the example of Southampton who were docked league points after claims that their parent company, and not the club, had gone bust, were dismissed by the Football League. But a source familiar with the process told the ECHO: “A deal's been done to make sure those nine points aren't deducted from Liverpool. “It's not actually the football club that goes into administration, it's the holding company." Bournemouth hit the post....FFS

No excuses today. Strong side out there.

W******d appeared to be playing out of his skin thus far.

I have to admit at MLT testimonial i thought the rapport between Wright and the fans was really good. He seemed to be having a real blast and joking around subtsantially, and from what i remember there was some banter but it was all in good spirits, nothing malicious whatsoever.

Bournemouth chairman "not welcome" directors box (sigh)

There was booing and it was directed at Cortese. At the time it really took me by surprise. IIRC the mexican wave started much later in the proceedings, while the game was underway, whereas the booing was prior to the kick off. There was a significant time delay between the booing, when Corteses' face appeared on the big screen, and the booing for people not taking part in the Mexican wave.
