I am led to believe there will be front page headlines in 'The portsmouth News' putting PFC in a very bad light. Reference the death of a former player and the funeral/wake arrangements. Lampitt and one of his colleagues at the club have made a poor decision in many of the Skate fans' views. We will see.

The official unofficial January transfer targets thread..

Sharp will cost us £3m......possibly...... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11734/7386538/Rovers-Sharp-will-cost-3m -
He was anonymous for the majority of today and when it counted he bottled it. Adkins left him on and did not replace him.......De Ridder is obviously not up to it....another mediocre signing.
-
Is SDR becoming another 'meh' signing by Adkins? I was quite excited initially, reference De Ridder, but the 'best of' on youtube can often be deceiving ...a few glimpses of talent but nothing to get excited about at all.

The post you are refering to is post 18........ http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?34214-ADKINS-reaction!! Hardly laying into Mr NA,would you not agree? You posted soon after, why not pick me up on it then if it was so damning? No, its just because i don't subscribe along with a select few that NA is beyond reproach for anything he says/does.And when you get together the only thing you can do is bleat...just like sheep...oh the irony.
-
No i was not...read the post correctly, and you should read the thread in the lounge correctly also while you are at it. My view was balanced and praised NA also, in the job thus far. Just because i don't subscribe to the unquestioning love in with all things NA says and does, but that does not mean i don't think he is doing well overall. I think your comments on both matters are unjustified.

Mr Adkins' true ability is now going to be tested and i suspect he will come under the microscope a tad more by those who put him on such a high pedastool. It's all very well banging on in soundbites but that means very little in the grand scheme of things. The January transfer window may well prove very important,as of yet i remain to be convinced of his abilitys in this area. Some will go on about Cork.......lets just look at some of those aquisitions that have struggled to ignite the imagination...Bignall,forte and De ridder seems to have found his level after all the excitement of his arrival. Nigel is very close to being a quality manager/coach...but there are still question marks and these need highlighting on occasions. I'm sure NA is this man to take us further,he has done remarkably well, although much of what is in place was here prior to his arrival.

Our away form needs to be addressed Mr Adkins......now.

Just something to run past some of the more informative on here.....and looking for advice, perhaps ther are persons of similar ilk on here. Iv'e just started a new job,in a industry that i am well versed in,i was asked to go back to a previous employer because they thought fairly highly of me....so i have returned. Problem is, my memory of how to do things and the new routine is completely bypassing me. I am struggling to retain information and recall what used to be second nature to me. Simple instruction, as getting phone numbers, and remembering things that were common practice are becoming more difficult to retain. I had been in the industry at a high level, and for some years, before taking a sabatical and exploring a new vocation,......I am truly struggling at the basics, imo. My employer may not see that as the case....but i think i can perform at a better level,i know i am underperforming. I'm 45 now and i wonder if that has a effect on it. It is so frustrating.Knowing how capable i was...but now i feel a fraction of what my capabilities are. I have to write things down, just to remember.

Antonov has surrendered his stake in CSI?. Therfore what is not his, cannot be siezed? Has Dubov undergone the FAPPT?

The day the players/staff are expecting bacs payments into their bank accounts?.......those blasted wages need to be paid.
-
Just tweeted by Portsmouth 'The News' reporter...... pn_Emma_JuddEmma Judd I have a feeling today is going to be an interesting one for Pompey owners CSI. Let's hope it's interesting in a good way!

We will sign Maynard.
-
He really has failed to make an impact, has he not? Not an overly inspiring aquisition thus far...along the lines of Forte and who was that striker Adkins signed on loan, yet failed to do anything? Still awaiting to see if Adkins can lure a talent away from another club unfortunately. It's the only part of the jigsaw missing, otherwise Adkins would be an all round managerial genius.

I never had a BMX as they were not around when i was a nipper....i had something even better,a Raleigh Grifter...it was the dogs,my ma and pa saved for an eternity to buy it for me. Kids don't know how lucky they are nowadays.

Last 20 mins are going to be nerve shredding. I hope i hold my nerve better than the players have thus far. Disappointing to have conceded after being in control, our away form is not as convincing as i hoped. COYS.

2 nil...game over???? Get in

Pardew has turned them around, put them on a level footing, playing with belief and rebuilt them into a competative force without spending squillions. He is getting the players to play at 110% week in week out,and fulfill their potential. Just like he did with us. Adkins is carrying on, where Pardew left off. Worked out well in the end.
-
We have been found out, well and truly on tonights showing thus far. This where Adkins earns his corn. Is he capable of changing it around,we will see. Still 45 mins to go and 0-0,so not all bad. We have to expect more of this as the season goes on. We will be harried at every opportunity. This is probabaly my last of 3 posts, you should be thankful of that if things don't improve. We are not top of the table by fluke, but on tonights display we won't stay there.

Guly gives it away again,4 against 2 and we survive. We are **** poor thus far, improvement needed if we are to get something out of this. COYS

He never lost the dressing room, never stated so. It did seem however very early in his tenure the players could not replicate what he was trying to implement and the style he often aluded to in his interviews, thankfully that has now changed it seems.Hence the players did not seem 'able to play for him'. I sent the PM's prior to becoming a mere registered user. HTH.

At the time....Yes i was aprehensive,i was yet to be convinced that Adkins, some of the players where capable of stepping up to the NPC as not all had decent experience at that level. You would have to be daft not to think that more experienced managers would have an edge over Adkins, never said he was inept, just lacking in proof that he can manage a big club at this level and all that comes with it.Again this was all pre season, but you know that. I'm not sure many would have foreseen the position we are in now. My level of expectation was low, which makes the position we are in even more enjoyable,i much prefer taking points from the oposition than from trying to score them from fellow posters. Easy when you have the gift of hindsight eh. Back on topic, some on here have recieved PMs reference my thoughts on the Maynard situation...you have red my previous post, now you have my thoughts also, albeit without the 'flesh on the bones' details. Probably my last of 3 posts,i have no desire to become a full member anymore, much more fun to stand back and watch the bickering as opposed to be embroiled in it.

We have not stopped in our attempts to get Maynard,at all. It was ongoing through the summer and remains so for the January transfer window.

There is a damn fine looking fella in celebratory mood, pictured outside St Marys stadium last night, on page 55 of the Daily echo.........oh...that would be me.A bit of eye candy for the ladies at long last.
