  1. I can see the wait untill kick off is really going to drag. I cannot concentrate on anything other than the game. This is painful. Is it too early for a beer? My little boy can hardly contain himself.
  2. Jermain Defoe will be shown the exit door at spurs, dont. Be surprised if he ends up at Saints.
  3. Come on saints please. Don't mess up now.
  4. West ham have been doing us a favour for an age by being so poor. How ironic that last night we actually played better of late and came away with nothing. We have had plenty of luck for a considerable time.
  5. We have been putting in **** poor performances for an age,it was only Matter of time before we got spanked. Our results have disguised our lethargic displays. Confident we can cling on to 2nd place though.
  6. Not sure what happened there..... The Titanic Ink Tattoo Convention is being held at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday 12th May & Sunday 13th May. Just in case anyone else is interested in that kind of thing.
  7. Titanic Ink Tattoo Convention at St.Mary’s Football Stadium on Sat.12th and Sun.13th of May. Just in case anyone is interested.
  8. Another pretty below par performance, however, it's gaining the points that matter at the moment. Picking up the points, yet not playing at our full potential can be seen as a sign of a good team,at some point our lacklustre displays have to be addressed.
  9. This. I find most of what he says cringe worthy and nauseating. But it is what the side does on the pitch that matters.
  10. I am coming home early from holiday to go to the reading Game,i sincerely hope that game will be the final act in confirming our promotion. It is possible, but.....
  11. Incredible set of results for us tonight. Outstanding stuff. We are on the brink of Premier League football at St Marys oncemore. I am aroused.
  12. get in.......
  13. Come on Saints,i can't take another game like Saturday...well,the result i would settle for. Watching West Ham game and Upton Park is like a morgue, you can feel the tension on the telly box,if they don't take control you can sense the crowd will be on their backs. West Ham look so very nervous. COYS
  14. Our performances against Ipswich,Leeds, and i include last week against Barnsley, were very lacklustre in many ways. The strong possibility, if we continued in the same vain, was that we would lose very soon. Still time to turn it around or get something from the game...but on recent performances, it will be tough.
  15. We can only control the controllables....just focus on our games. Way to many permutations. Confident we will gain promotion and i'm not concerned about who goes up as champions. It would be the icing on the cake to win the league, but in the grand scheme of things its promotion that is the ultimate prize.
  16. Comfortably numb,by the Floyd. And something more in keeping i suppose,Adagio For Strings.
  17. Alan Pardew picked up this club by it's boot laces and played a major part in turning it's fortunes around. As well as others mentioned, his efforts should be singled out and applauded as role as manager.
  18. Never insinuated such in my post. It is the best for a considerable time.
  19. As far as getting the result, it was great. As for the performance, like many of late,we were pretty **** poor.
  20. 45 years old born in Gosport. Started seeing saints in the mid 70's. Dad made me a box to stand on,and painted it red and white stripes, used to take it in the whAt I presume was a family standing end at the dell. Became a chef and moved to London for 20 odd years then into management. Use to travel back for home games and go to all the games in London. Back in gosport now, initially as an instructor for kids with autism and aspergers. Returned to the hotel industry just recently. Will be my little boys second trip to St Mary's tomorrow.
  21. Disappointed not to get the 3 points obviously, however we can't win every game. We played way to narrow for long periods and this should have been addressed earlier, hoping the full backs would bomb forward and provide the width was not practical.Again, should have made changes earlier, imo. Onwards to barnsley if we pick up 3 points i will be fairly happy with the haul from the last 3 games. If i'm honest i don't give a monkeys about West Ham,more importantly we maintain a gap to 3rd. I think a little of the tinkering with the side needs to stop on occasions,You have to pick what you think is the most beneficial not just trying to keep some of the players happy, this will prove more difficult to do the more time goes on and needs to be handled well. We have a talented squad, some players will be disappointed on ocassions so alot will depend on how they and Adkins handles this. Our fate lies in our own hands...possibly the biggest test of the season is yet to come. I'm hoping Sharp makes some impact, sooner rather than later. Looking forward to Saturday, with me and my little lad,he has been a good omen thus far, long may it continue.
  22. Yep me too, arrived an hour ago. All synced up and a nice piece of kit compared to what i sent them. Very happy with that. Cheers for the heads up on this.
  23. From today's news By Rory McKeown Published on Thursday 1 March 2012 08:53 VITAL parachute payments that could have helped Pompey though to the end of the season will go to former owner Sacha Gaydamak. Trevor Birch, Pompey’s joint-administrator, revealed around £2.2m in parachute payments from the Premier League will go to Mr Gaydamak in four monthly instalments. He will receive around £640,000 for four months from April, according to Mr Birch. Mr Birch claims the agreement was drawn up by the club’s former administrator Andrew Andronikou in order for Mr Gaydamak to vote in favour of agreeing the Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) to bring the club out of administration previously. The News reported Mr Gaydamak would receive £2.2m first as a secured creditor as part of the CVA, which totals £16.5m. Mr Birch said he was not aware of the agreement. On the parachute payments agreement, Mr Birch said ‘Our legal advisors have sent out letters to various people to see if it is allowed.’ He added: ‘It makes it that more difficult for me and puts into doubt if we are able to get through to the end of the season. ‘It stops me trying to get any cash out of the Premier League that could put the club through til the end of the season. ‘It’s incredibly difficult – I’ve jumped on a plane that’s crash landing and trying to bring it down safely. There is a bigger hole in the fuel tank already leaking fuel . ‘The money would have given us a bit more time, maybe until after the end of the season. ‘Time is of the essence.’ ‘I’m just doing my best to save the club. All I can say is what affects me and that affects me at the moment. I am unhappy about that.’
