  1. Just watched 'Take shelter'. Starring Micheal Shannon from boardwalk empire. the story of a good man sinking deeper into what he believes is a mental illness and trying his hardest to do what's right along the journey. keeping his family together, keeping his job...yet succumbing to what his 'visions' are directing him to do. an incredible film,it is long but stick with it. i strongly recommend this film, very fine acting and the subject matter is tackled in a very good way.
  2. Get in,2-1 up. come on Nige, show your worth. now show some tactical nous this second half and see it out. learn from the first half of this match and the last 15 against Man Utd & Man City.
  3. i think he has 45 mins to save his job, perhaps I should have taken the bet. We really need 3 points today,c'mon Nigel prove me wrong. become a Premier League manager, today.
  4. Lose this and Adkins will be shown the door I suspect. hoped he would deliver in this league but had my doubts deep down from when he was appointed that he could be here long term, still possible to turn it around though.here's hoping. he is without doubt the one of the best managers outside the Premier League. i don't think he will be given time to acclimatise, that doesn't mean he shouldn't be given the time.....but time will eventually run out for him. Please turn it around second half.
  5. iPhone and iPad all updated. Really like ios6. Maps are high quality and at last Siri seems to have a purpose. will see what the other tweaks are like as I go,but thus far all is good.
  6. That was Alan Pardew.
  7. Been worried since the final kick of last season.
  8. Clucking bell.
  9. I don't think I have ever called for him to be sacked. ive given reasons for why he might be sacked......quite different.
  10. The fact that we have had a fair few threads/comments questioning some of the decisions made by Nigel Adkins of late surely shows that quite possibly I was right to be comfortable in my belief that I was not 100% confident he was the man for the long term. but as many have stated, the start we have been given is attrocious, due to the fixture list. The Wigan game and those that will follow against sides we should really be busting a gut to get something out of will be very telling. throughout his tenure,we have fallen short in games that have been crucial, now every game is crucial. thanks to him we climbed the lower leagues, shame we never had a champions tag along with it. Play the post, not the person that posts it. my last two post are reasonable and valid.imo.
  11. How will I feel if he is sacked, certainly not surprised. hes done his job,got us to the premier league, was he ever the man to keep us there...? I always had my doubts. once we arrived in the top flight, cracks have started to appear, and they are slowly widening. should we pick up some points, and quickly,he does deserve to remain at the helm, for a while longer. As for Pardew,he did a Stirling job, picking the club up and rebuilding it when arguably were we're at the lowest point in our history....he set the path for our return so swiftly. i would have preferred him leading us into this season.
  12. So no ****ed up,ticketless scousers played any part in this tragedy. Lets just blame the emergency services then. all parties played their part, all tried to shift the blame. Football fans in the 80's were all angels and law abiding citizens obviously.
  13. After an age of never posting on their official Facebook page, mysteriously the number five was posted at 3.12pm,today at exactly the same time the number four was posted. Rumours are gathering pace that this, which looks logical, that an announcement will be made Thursday, quite possibly at 3.12pm. release of the O2 gig on DVD or another reunion gig perhaps. i do hope it is some gigs
  14. Jay Rodrigues will be a transfer of the same ilk as Bignall,Forte, the bloke from Tottenham,N'gusseun, the midfielder that recently went to Villa that we had. he will join a faily indistinguished list. Unless he actually plays in the correct position, but then he could still end up a flop, will we ever know?
  15. Marvelous post.
  16. No agenda, you obviously think that Rodriguez should be played in a wide position, and Adkins can do no wrong. thats your opinion,we disagree, but I respect you view without having a personal dig.unless you do agree that Rodriguez is playing out of position and this is a managerial mistake therefore we do agree....which is it? Del Piero would be,as it stands at the moment,a fine acquisition. although our focus should be elsewhere in the strengthening of the squad.
  17. I don't normally subscribe to the constant "look where we were a couple of seasons ago,be happy whatever happens this season" mantra.because I want us to be winners this season and not just be happy with our lot. And the thought of not wanting someone like Del Piero at the club is insane,on so many levels.Christ what a player. he played 23 times for the league champions last season,if you think he has nothing to offer, well, you need to think again. My only concern would be that Adkins plays him out wide.....but then he could probably do a better job than Jay Rodriguez. the money spent on Jay could have been better spent elsewhere, and we should have kept sharp.
  18. If you are going to sub Lambert put Rodriguez in his place playing in his natural position. not out wide. One of Lamberts main attributes is holding the ball up,besides scoring, this is something that Rodriguez can do with great effect. whi did we buy him. he looks lost.
  19. Adkins lost us today's game, very nieve. hes out of his depth and needs to learn very quickly and I hope for SFCs' sake he does. no room for sentiment in this game.
  20. It was rediculous. we had Man UTD on the ropes, even with their changes. depite the penalty save, which was hit poorly,Davis is becoming a liability. Puncheon was outstanding. The threat we had with Lallana,Puncheon and Lambert was superb. Rodriguez is out of his depth, playing out of position or not. should have kept Sharp, loaned ot Jay Rod. wrong tactical decisions Nigel, very nieve.
  21. West ham sign owen,to partner Carroll.
  22. David Villa to Man City. And yes I would take Benayoun.great little player.
  23. Oh how I would love this to be true.
  24. Tbh even if he does sign for us the whole saga has taken away the initial 'impact' of signing someone of his supposed calibre. for all we know he could be a complete let down anyway. Its like an underwhelming conclusion to a soap opera.
  25. Late double signing today,Ramirez. & Yoshida.
