Funny enough, I have wondered what I would do if I was in RL shoes for the last few years. Three conclusions I come to are: 1. Why does he hang around when the vast majority of the "customers" consider him a liability? If he wants to maximise shareholder value the disappearing out of the club would be a very good start. BUT 2. If I was him and I did stay I would invest a lot of effort in seeking to build better links with the community and the fans. The population in and around Southampton is 500,000 people? The club database has 80,000 names on it (I recall reading that somewhere). Start off with the junior fans - players to visit one school a week, children's shirts at cost price etc. I would reinvent the club as a community football club "belonging" to the city (even if legal ownership says otherwise) 3. I would not trust Wilde on the basis that he had used his shares to get me out once, her may do it again! Andrew

we are down. I cannot see were we are going to win more than one or two matches. AllI hope is that someone buys the club and sets a realistic plan for next season based on experienced manager / players needed for a L1 side.

thats a stroke of luck then - a home defeat, lowest crowd at SMS for a league match and administration in one week would have been too much to handle.

I have not abused players but I dont think they are very good at winning football matches. Some may get better as they get older and wiser, others may drop down a league or two and others may just give up. But our club is in a mess. The fault lies with the chairman and directors and others. Who is going to solve our problems - not the young players thrown in the deep end? We need a hero to step forward. A leader, a motivator and someone with backing of people with money. Ron - you seem to know some of the people in the background - what are they waiting for? Andrew

I can understand people wanting to sell but why buy now, unless you are LC/MW etc? Given the debt the club has, its day to day financial position and its league position how much are shares really worth? Could they fall as low as 5p per share?

I dont know her but I hope she has something positive to say about the future - that Lowe has gone - that Wilde has gone - that the rest of the board has gone - that a new Board has been installed - that a proper manager has been installed - that 5 experienced players have been signed on loan (can we sign emergency loans?) - that the next home fixture is a special one with all tickets £5 to season ticket holders and members - that the corners are open again - that the overdraft has been paid off - that season ticket prices for next season are £200 per adult irrespective of which league for all ST and members who buy by 30th April. Come on Mary and others time to make your move. We need you!
