Protest stage 2: February 21st, meeting at bargate again.
Amesbury Saint replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
At least they have a home win to talk positively about. If Tuesday is the day for big decisions about the future of the club, lets hope LC and others are ready with their money. Perhaps someone could start a thread about whats on the agenda for Tuesdays Board meeting. -
Could this possibly be "The end of a disastrous beginning"
Amesbury Saint replied to cambsaint's topic in The Saints
what did Wilde say in his programme notes? -
we also need to factor in which team plays the administration "bonus" card.

This season has been a disaster. I struggle to find any positives. When will the directors be held to account for their failures at so many different levels? I have supported the team at home matches - rarely making my disappointment known inside the ground. But I agree with the demonstrators both inside and outside the ground. If they do not alreday know it, its time for the directors to understand they have failed the club, the fans, the staff at SFC, and the city. And given the fall in share price, the shareholders as well. The directors at the club show no leadership, provide no hope and are walking disasters. See you at the match tomorrow.

Why not allow STH the option of buying cheaper tickets for friends and family. Equally for members buy 1 ticket full price, cheaper tickets thereafter.
-
I bought 2 away shirts for £20 last week from the West Quay shop. £10 a shirt is about right. Well done Saints for the 1/2 price shirt with a buy one get one free. My 15 year old son wore his for three successive days - the smelly teenager. Back to the serious points - what is the cost price of a shirt? I have always felt that the club needs to sell as many as cheaply as possible (not £40 each).

but will we? I hope we do. But that involves all on here turning up and bringing their friends. Irrespective of the quality of football everybody has to do their bit. -
If we go into admin and Lowe has gone please can someone start a thread asking what we all are going to do to help the club. 20,000 season ticket sales would help.

I had chicken pox at 17. I had a great time scratching all the puss out. 20+ years later I still have the craters. Scratch them ..... you know you want to!

What I dont understand is how quiet Lowe, Wilde Crouch and other key individuals are. My hope is that something positive is happening in the background but it could be they have all given up? How long before the share price drops to 10p? Lowe came back to protect his investment. Perhaps he needs a plan B?

each evening I load up the stock exchange website, the OS website and here. I hope to read about a Saints win - does not happen very often I hope to read about signing a quality player - see above I hope to read about a new manager who inspires - does not happen I hope to read about a new Board of Directors - see above I hope to read about a good rumour covering one of the above - that does not happen!

Doctor P - I agree with you. I actually think we need two types of leaders. The one who rallies the fan base for the demos etc. One gobbie Saints fan, as you describe the individual. But also we need a leader who brings together the money men, the clever people who can put together takeovers. Ideally the two work in partnership coordinating the popular support with behind the scenes work.

all season I have supported the team. They have been mainly young players "blooded" to early and in too many numbers. I dont like protesting during the match but cannot see anyway forward. I will not, however, go on the pitch.

Look at the legal model of community interest company http://www.cicregulator.gov.uk/Leaflets/OverviewLeafletMarch2008.pdf in it, it talks about the use of this type of company for partnerships between local authorities, businesses and other stakeholders -
Poll: Will y0u attend next season if lowe and wilde are still here?
Amesbury Saint replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
A good leader offers ( and delivers) both hope for a better future and change to achieve that. Can you point to anything that Lowe or Wilde has done over the last few months to suggest in the medium to long term there is going to be a better future for the club? Most of us can accept short term disappointment (of defeats or even a poor season) if its about building for a future. But in our time of desparate need what does Lowe / Wilde offer us? I suspect that many fans suggest Administration is better, and are aware of the real risks it brings, because it breaks the cycle of despair we current face. It may (will) create a new set of problems but may also offer a small chance of something better. There are not many Lowe supporters on here but if any do read this - can they point to one sign that there is a chance of a better future for Saints? I struggle to see anything. Wilde if you read this please let me know what hope you are offering for the future. Show me inspirational leadership. Paint a picture of a better future Show me the road map of how we are going to get there. If you can show me something realisatic then you have my support. But at the moment Lowe / Wilde offers nothing and hence anybody but Lowe / Wilde is attractive. -
There needs to be a series of planned and coordinated demonstrations over the next few months both inside and outside the ground, both on match days and other days. All within the law. With the aim of ensuring the current Board resign. Lets start league 1 in the best shape we can - a united club behind a manager who knows how to win in league 1, with a new board. We also need to be an inspirational leader who takes the shell of a football club we have into a community football club that we can all invest our money, time, loyalty and passion into. We have about 5 months to transform the club for a league 1 campaign. I actually believe with the right leadership that inspires the community of Southampton and surrounding area we could have 20,000 season tickets holders next season and almost a full ground for each. I am sure with the right leader there would be many skilled people in the area who would help, with their time, to sort out every part of the club. Just need that inspirational leader.

what would be really creative is if the club culd come up with a pricing structure and incentives to get 20,000 season ticket holders irrespective of which division we are in.

why no posts from FF, Weston Saint or Morph? Is there no hope for us? -
Survival Plan - A real vision to save Saints..?

see step 1 - says now "1. Up the pressure from fans for Lowe and Wotte to go. I am afraid there is nothing to lose by singing and producing banners in games now. Protests need to be increased." -
Survival Plan - A real vision to save Saints..?

Saint Robbie put up a plan, despite the replies there are not many constructive ideas as to alternatives. -
Its a very difficult question to answer. What we really need is the latest financial information to make a proper decision.
