  1. I think it would be a good time to bring in lots of youngsters. (only joking!)
  2. whatever the reasons, having 17,000 ST holders already for next season is very good going. At the moment Saints have nil and never going to get 17,000 for next season.
  3. Norwich seem to to all right on ST sales - 16939 so far http://www.canaries.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10355~1578329,00.html
  4. if all other things stay the same and we win our game in hand, we stay up.
  5. there was a time it was rumoured that Beckham was going to buy us. Not now http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7933407.stm (I dont think many of us actually thought Beckham was going to buy us)
  6. I would only last about 5 minutes so happy to start and be substitued almost immediately!
  7. I'm actually thinking of getting a ST again, first one after our first season in CCC. Three key factors - will Lowe still be at the club - price - and whether I have a job when its time to buy. Regarding Lowe. If he is at the club but fails to offer a creditable vision for the future the I will probably not buy. If he can offer a creditable vision for the future (and he failed this year) then I will.
  8. might as well close half the ground.
  9. Come on Boro on March 14th!
  10. I read it as bad news. The club cannot plan for which division we are in and hence defer making a decison.
  11. Any news on ticket prices for next year? What is the latest financial position? Very pleased with 2 wins but is the real challenge off the pitch? Have we passed the lowe(st) point? Not yet
  12. if its part of a package of positive announcements from the club over the next few weeks then its great idea. But in isolation its just PR spin. How about a committment to investment, reduced ST prices and a new Chairman.
  13. If we find ourselves in admin, us fans need to ask ourselves what are we going to go to support the club / team out of it.
  14. there is our one fan
  15. what about the other 17,000 empty seats?
  16. I looked forward to ITK threads. LLS, Tommac, St D and St L etc all made it a more enjoyable place. Ok they got it wrong most of the time but it was worth reading. Even Morph with his IMHO has disappeared. And what about the bloke who signed his COYR. Seemed a nice bloke a couple of years back spending £2m getting Lowe out. Shame he disappeared!!!!¬
  17. Should be a lively crowd if true
  18. It would be interesting to know how many clubs are considering their future and whether to go into admin. Saints could stay up because everybody else goes into admin
  19. The agenda and draft minutes 1. Apologies 2. Minutes of the last meeting Agreed subject to the correction on page 3 3. Matters Arising - Xmas 2009 Christmas Party All agreed to go to Mike's pad for beers and curry 4. Financial Report Due to financial problems the biscuit allowance is cut to 2 per day. 5. Staff Report All agreed that the cleaner was not washing up the tea pot very well. 6. Maintenance report It was agreed that the door to the Boardroom should be painted. 7. PR report All agreed that the Echo had been nasty 8. Any other business The visit of the PM had been a suceess and Gordon had taken on board all RL's advice on how to run a succesful business
  20. Not sure how Welsh the troops at Rorkes Drift (1879) were. The original regiment was the 2nd Battalion, 24th (2nd Warwickshire) Regiment of Foot (renamed the South Wales Borderers in 1881) Most of the VC's awarded went to English soldiers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rorke's_Drift
  21. Due to the failure of the management team of UK Government last season, Gordon turned to his friend Lowe, who has sung the praises of Total Football, to implement Total Government. Total Government sees the replacement of experienced civil servants with school leavers. With Total Government correspondance is skillfully transfered from one in tray to another. The opposition has however pointed out that the correspondance rarely arrives at the key destination. One could go as far as to say that Total Government, whilst pretty to watch, to rarely effective. In the league table of Governments, the UK Government has slipped sharply down the league table. However at the next election Gordon will present a letter from a tax payer congratulating Gordon on his vision and management. Gordon then wins the election with 97.5% of the vote. The banks are a little uncomfortable with Total Government but are happy with promises of further asset sales later in 2009.
  22. battles and wars battle - whether Wotte is the right manager war - getting Lowe out
