Agreed We need a leader to rally behind and unite the fans. Please can someone ring MLT up. For the people who have the money, its also now to stand up and be counted. For those who have the shares - time to sell them to MLT's consortium or proxy them to it. For Lowe - please pack you bags!

My Pompey mate is coming around to drink my beer tomorrow and to watch it on sky. So come on Spurs!

yes and no. think about 2 identical schools in two identical areas with the same budget. A good headmaster can acheive more through factors such as leadership, motivation, communication etc. why do we say that some clubs punch above their weight. yes - financial resources are very important but factors such leadership, motivation, communication and .... luck all make a difference.

how about - Saturday only seasom ticket - once the fixture list comes out committ to say 15 home matches at a dscounted price but pick those 15 matches by 31st July - must be possible with the online ticket shop. I have always found Mr Luker very helpful.
-
that will set them back 20p

The club needs to get far smarter with its marketing and ticket sales. the fans are still there but just need encouragement. So my ideas - give every season ticket holder an extra ticket for them to take their brother, sister, Dad etc and do this for the next 5 home matches - make the chapel corner £5 a ticket but only sold on the online shop. - make all childrens replica shirts cost price - anybody who buys 4 full price tickets gets a free one. - anyone who buys next years season ticket before 31/1/09 - £200 for an adult one. - child season ticket comes with replica shirt

nobody could get the impression that Saints V Doncaster was like Arse V Liverpool (I know I am mis quoting you!)

taking two kids who have never been before - should put them off Saints!

Only a rumour, but it would be nice...........

it would be funny if someone with a low post count came on here and posted a takeover rumour and it turned out to be true. the thing I never really understood is why, even at 20p a share, the share price has remained so high. given the debt, the poor results on the pitch, the global financial climate why have share values not dropped further? -
are we ever going to win match?
-
who could we!

from zero to hero in just one press release! -
what was NAMG all about. I remember spending hours (perhaps minutes!) following your comments sometime ago. Was there also a firm in Chandlers Ford that you were interested in?

what is lowe getting out of being here?

realistically what are they worth now? -

yes we must act but we are just a group of fans with no leader. Someone with credability, history and media skills must stand up. Without a leader we are just lost and fragmented in direction. Our leader must also be the front man for the money people. No leader = no change. So come on MLT plant the flag, issue the rallying call, get on board the money people and us fans will follow. So Leon and others call MLT, pledge your money to his campaign.

If you go by the numbers above, less than 5k will renew.

Given that the share price is currently 21.5p, 30p would be a good deal for him Question is - anybody out there going to buy them? Also given the finances of the club why are the shares worth anything?

I would be surprised if we get 2, let alone double figures but thank you for wanting us to do well.

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
Amesbury Saint replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
Are we going to have a good shout against Lowe tomorrow? I still think we should walk down to concourse after 15 minutes and return at 30, thereafter support the team. -
I heard MLT speak on Sky earlier. A great Saints hero he still is. I dont think he should ever be a Saints manager. But in our year of crisis I wish he would become a standard bearer for the new Saints revolution. So MLT please pick up the phone and ring a few people with money to put together a consortium. MLT - make 2009 the year you saved Saints (again)

Who are Cheviot Asset Management and Charles Stanley and Co (I assume they are holding the shares on behalf of someone else?) Shareholders who hold more than 3% Amount % Holding Michael Wilde 4,622,470 16.46 Leon Adrian Crouch 2,794,230 9.95 Rupert Lowe 1,577,969 5.62 R M Withers 1,125,000 4.00 Guy Askham 1,120,000 3.99 Cheviot Asset Management 939,430 3.34 Michael Richards 873,000 3.11 Charles Stanley & Co Ltd 863,185 3.07 I dont really undersatnd the Board's strategy. I understand the bit about needing to cut costs, up to a point. Getting rid of expensive ineffective players - ok. BUT by end of January we will be starting to discuss the early bird season ticket offer. Price will be a factor but how much optimism will the board have created regarding 09/10 season? Without a degree of optimism why will the same number of people buy season tickets. Buying a ticket is about watching a football match but its also about going with the optimism and hope that your team will win. In the premiership I always though Saints could beat Liverpool, Arse, Man Utd and on accassions we did. There are not many matches I now think we can win. Saga not getting international clearance is an example of a major **** up by the club management. He just may have been the player to score in the 86 minute to win us the game. But the club could not get clearance sorted on ending of a loan they knew the end date months ago. 2 good loan players going back on the eve of playing Man Utd. Does not make sense. Even if the club had no real say - did we get suitable replacements lined up? I dont think so. So do the Board have any real plans other than to cut costs? With falling income more costs have to be cut. Being a Saints fan is often about having unrealistic optimism. The Board has almost killed my optimism. When they plan their next budget with lower costs, dont automatically plan to have my ticket money. You need to do more than just put 11 boys out on the pitch in red and white stripped shirts. Andrew

A week or so ago someone suggetsed there should be a shadow Board created for the day Lowe is finally forced out. Perhaps we should also create a shadow senior management team and management structure for the club.
