I know why Morgan wasn't playing dumbass! I was questioning the inclusion of Wotton in the starting line. The ball boys would complete a more successful pass ratio!

FFS, Stupid over-reaction & pointless thread. Why try & harvest vitriol for our developing players?! Same as last time he came on after months out. He made a mistake that let them through but didn't get much of a chance before Pardew decided to gamble on all out attack & take him off which questions Pardew's choice in the first place. I'd be more concerned why AP always plays Wotton in place of Morgan. Anway, get over it. Why no Gillet either? Lloyd is much better central to RB. RB is not his position & many have short memories for the performances he put in midfield early in the season. He did well (one notable game I believe was v Brum) from what I remember & Pardew was very complimentary. Try pulling your head out a bit & be a bit more objective. Harsh!

Deflated. The refs & Football League obviously have a mantra to prevent us reaching the play offs by not giving us any penalties or freekicks (despite dubiously giving us free kicks for Hammond falling over) for any of the multitude of handballs in & outside the penalty box. Shocking referee. Possibly the worst i've ever witnessed (& the Leeds game was bad enough). To be fair, Oldham got men behind the ball & their game plan was to stop us getting any goal & they played for the draw. If we'd got one goal, it may have opened up. Ostemebor (not looking up on many occasions & nulling dangerous attacking advantages we should have created) & Seabourne were poor. Why was Wotton even on the pitch? I wish Puncheon & the other players would learn to whip the ball, not give the keeper catching practice with pointless floaty balls. Idiots like 19C & the clueless types that criticise Waigo want to watch the difference he makes when he came on. Picking out players with pinpoint passes & putting in a great corner & a few unread passes. 1 through ball was fanastic but the Oldham defender did very well to read it first & put a vital lunge in. Big shame we stuffed up the chance of the play offs but wasting the first half didn't help. Non existent midfield 1st 45. Usual Wotton bypassing, Lambert seeking hoofball. Did we just play all our strikers at the end? When Connolly came on, people looked confused as to where they were meant to play. Obviously Waigo right, Lallana left with Lambo & Connolly upfront?! Here's to next season. I hope we offer competition to Hammond next season although doubtful being club captain. He's not that attacking but not that defensive either. I'd rather a real ball winning bulldozer breaking up the play & starting counter attacks.

Rubbish odds on Saints at the mo. Better off doing Connolly last goal scorer @ 5/1. Is Antonio fit?! He gets goods odds. It's hard predicting first goal scorer and scoreline with Saints. One day we'd hammer 5 past Huddersfield at home or 5 past Bristol away, another day struggle away to Tranmere or Exeter. Even Charlton was a struggle to score. Let's hope it's a high scoring evening game like Huddersfield, Walsall & Bristol. bet365 have: Barnard to score first & 2-1 result @ 25/1. Fonte to score first & 3-1 result @ 125/1 (worth a quid or 2) Dean Hammond to score first & 2-0 @ 40/1 Lambert to score first & 4-1 result @ 50/1 Antonio to score first & 3-1 result @ 65/1 Saints to win 4-1 @ 20/1. But, knowing me they'll score first and all bets will be off! LOL

I only stuck a tenner on Lambert @ 4/1 e/w. Wish I'd done more now although 2 grand?! Wow!! Haven't got that to risk! My other bets won't come off so I'll break even if Ricky wins. Also have Saints for promotion @ 14/1 with Paddy Power but can't remember how much I stuck on.

Great result although I am really gutted that the miraculous comeback by 10 men Walsall was thwarted by Huddersfield in injury time. Would have been a 5 point gap, gaining 3 points on them, rather than no change on -8 difference. A perfect night of results up until the dying secs. Still, great for team confidence and Lambert's goal tally (and my subsequent bets for League Top Scorer and Promotion). Our goal difference will surely come in useful if we peg level come last game. 2nd best in the league now. That is impressive! Well done boys! OWTSGMI

F*CK! Hudds 4-3 up.
-
Shame Huddersfield equalized but great night for results! couldn't have asked for more. Well, other than the Walsall win which I thought they remarkably had...

Seabourne did concern me but he has looked a bit better last couple of games. *touch wood* I worry more about Semi. Saying that, before his injury Semi started to play better and get my confidence going only to slip back to silly mistakes like Saturday and, apparently, today. Can't blame Fonte for a pen as he's saved us so many times (sounds like a few times tonight he's mopped up Semi's mistakes). COYS I said before the game 2-1 Saints and Lambo could do with getting a couple for my League Top Scorer bet (with Holt only 2 behind, now 4 behind). Don't think it'll stay that score though. Why am I right when I don't bet?! GRRRR!!!!! Schneiderlin FINALLY scores!! YAY!!!

With 10 men and 2 nil down, can't see it to be frank!

How good is Ricky at free kicks? Scored loads this season! NEVER hits the wall! -

Turned to Sky Sports for 2 secs and missed the goal....FFS! LOL Walsall down to 10 men and Huddersfield winning so that game aint looking good! Least Colchester are losing but Hudds are the team I'm more concerned about. Come on Ricky! GOALLLL!!!!! -
That's a good point well put!

I noticed that but didn't know why. Glad to know footballers have decency & morals & it's not all about spit roasts, drug scandals & cheating on partners! I saw Lloyd James making a point of apologsing for a wayward shot. I can't relax when they have shooting practice. 90% go into the crowd! Lol
-
Sounds decent enough. Was going to ask why loan but seen he's an Everton player so unlikely to want to drop 2 divisions unless he's got no chance of making it at Everton!

I too thought Zoumana Bakayogo looked useful. However, he could be another injury prone player. Wiki had him as a left back although I thought he played RB. Interestingly, it mentioned Leeds & Saints were looking at him before he signed with Tranmere. I realise Wiki isn't the most reliable source. He's French & came from Paris Saint Germain, then played for Millwall, Brighton on loan before signing to Tranmere. Bradley Orr is a decent RB. Bristol City player, formerly of Newcastle & Burnley. Good Championship experience. Grétar Steinsson would be great right back but pretty unachievable unless Bolton got relegated. Icelandic international. I think if Bolton did drop, he'd wanna move to keep in the top flight but you never know?! It would up the WAG status of the club. It's a good barometer of a club's success, the quality of the WAGs. Lol We already have Fonte's Cassie stepping up after Licka selfishly took his missus with him upon departing the club. Steinsson's missus was Miss Iceland so would be a welcome addition in my books... Was Fitz Hall a right sided player? Think he's more centre half. Jordan Fairclough could be one for the future. Think he's pacey enough and only 18. Currently at Forest, product of their youth academy. Michael Hart of Preston could be a shout too. Leigh Bromby has lots of experience and a monster through. Formerly at Watford, Sheff Wed & Utd. and now at Leeds. We do need an established RB as a priority. I'd keep Semi as competition as he does have good games at this level but I clearly saw the bottling incident, right under our noses and knew he would. Irritating. I didn't think he had as bad a game as many purported. Puncheon holds onto the ball too long imho. He should have squared that ball for Antonio I think it was, acres of space. Frustrating in recent games, despite what he creates! We need good cover for the times Puncheon gives the ball away.

Would you sign Papa Waigo N'Diaye on a permanent basis?
Gordon Mockles replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I hadn't realised. Superb! Don't let it bother you. On the iPhone app (which isn't all that good with the forum display) I saw his post was unanswered (probably best bet) & it annoys me when people slate Waigo for his failings & totally overlook his contributions. Still, maybe some will relish the trophy he as instrumental in helping us win. Why was the troll banned? -

To be fair, I know this is an old comment & you chose to forget how he was a huge contributor to the JPT trophy to suit your argument, but you've been caught lacking when you talk football quite a few times so I think we'll just put this comment down to another of those moments! -
Second nature to those Scousers! LOL

You've a good point about the tax debate but the concerns about the mephedrone (or Meow Meow - weird name that!) are very serious and shouldn't be played down. My concern is users more familiar with MDMA and Ecstasy with treat Mephedrone the same without any prior knowledge (i.e. Human guinea pigs). I know this is always the case with new drugs but it's a huge risk. Especially when authorities genuinely don't know how to treat complications which may result in death. Use previous case histories as examples and don't be complacent & "assume things will be safe and ok". Also, as the drug is currently legal in the UK, I think there's a huge misconception that this makes the drug less harmful. Far from it. I've heard reports from people that have mixed it with drinks and lost hours, in which time they have no conscious memories. A big concern is how readily available this drug is, in large quantities, on the internet. It only takes a naive school kid, a credit card and a home address and they could order as much as they want without much knowledge of drugs and the consequences could be deadly. Also, as the drug comes in powder/crystal form, there are viable concerns and current evidence the drug is being cut with other drugs which opens up an entirely new set of potential health problems. Also the ease of spiking people's drinks being in powder form. Drug counselors I know have found some terrifying reactions from more serious drug users having their gear cut with meph. Anyway digressing slightly, is it confirmed that Claus was actually raided? I can't form too much of an opinion without all the facts but it doesn't sound good if the police banged down his door with a search warrant. I should not speculate but someone has been very silly as the police don't just knock down doors just for casual recreational drug use. Maybe Claus shared his habit with a few complacent and wreckless (so called) friends. Regardless, if the reported Priory problems and coping after football rumours are true, I feel for him and wish him all the best.

Mods, can you delete my above post. Wrong thread & phone won't let me edit it. Thanks!

Scott McGleish scoring first gives you huge odds...I stuck a quid on McGleish & Saints winning 4-1 @ 280/1. Ridiculous odds! Maybe unlikely but he's their top scorer & not beyond the realms of possibility! Just getting the first scorer right is the key. Then the scoreline permutations aren't so tricky! Saying that, I've only ever guessed the scoreline right this season. I've missed out twice on first scorer & scoreline (with Saints goals cleared of the line & off the bar, missing me out on a few hundred quid! Grrr!!!!)

I often do small bets on the scorelines & scorers although I often don't know the oppositions scorers & do Saints first but Saints have won a lot of games after coming from behind. Lee Barnard to score first and Southampton 3-0 *@*22/1 Jason Puncheon to score first and Southampton 4-0 *@*85/1 Southampton 3-1 *@*10/1 Southampton 4-1 *@*20/1
