  1. Don't read or comment then if you're so tight up you squeak when you walk!! If scary, rude words upset you, cease reading scary threads! Easy really. As is adding punctuation to sentences. I think you missed a few full stops & commas. Poor punctuation upsets me but I won't be drop kicking my dummy into the top left corner like you!
  2. Gambafreaks at half time - down down down
  3. I'll give you an idea. They know little about football & may be a bit stupid! Safri was a very good midfielder. The people on here that slated him for passing sideways or backwards (WTF?) & bottling tackles can't have attended many games (with their eyes open) cos when Safri was out of the squad & away in the African Nations, the team was much poorer & noticably poorer for his absence! Wotton has poor distribution & technical prowess but he had a decent game bar his usual, obligatory miss-hit passes. He broke up the play well & he DID win most of the headers he challenged for.
  4. Dull game, numb toes but good support (although our fans seemed not to be arsed maybe cos their turn out was so poor & didn't really inspire as much banter as often occurs!) Shockingly bad ref but quite impressed with the ground (ESP. the unmanned/electronic turnstiles, concourse that looks onto the pitch, etc.) & it'd be even nicer when they add the extra seating & finish the cladding & construction. Plenty of parking. They even had comfy, padded seats (loads of leg room) although didn't get to test them other than half time. We had to bloody stand the whole game as annoying supporters always seem to insist on standing for 90mins despite having seating. WHY??? Forces everyone else to stand. Stewards should do more to seat people. Also, nearly a fight infront of us - 2 guys having handbags (I think one was the Dad of the lads who kept trying to start songs that no-one joined in with!) Poor support for MK Dons. Poor performance too. I wonder how they managed their league position as both times they've been awful!
  5. I'd beg to differ, I'm sorry to say. Safety in sheer police presence or the fact the club (the only one in the football league) had to construct a covered walkway to protect visiting fans?! Whilst the hooligans are a minority & certainly don't represent all the fans (like a lot of this annoying element of trouble making pikey youth idiots that frequent the Northam & spend the entire match goading the away fans), there's a pretty bloody big element of violent morons at Millwall. An interesting article below quotes "Millwall have been involved in more hooligan incidents than any other club in Britain. There reputation for disorder at matches is unparalleled". http://www.football-hooligans.org/millwall-bushwackers-hooligans.html I'm pleased policing has improved & the violence from the 80s has decreased but there's still an unhealthy element around too many of our football clubs. Anyway, I apologise for digressing slightly & I hate to take away the feel good factor from a pleasant thread & genuinely kind, caring gesture from Saints fans who make the club proud. I wish we saw more of that behaviour rather than the moronic element.
  6. Exactly! Yes, Pardew has consistently said he's taking all cup games seriously & fielding strong teams this season & I'm sure Cortese encourages this seeing as he spoke about our trophy cabinet contaning a sword (WTF?) & a distinct ambition for the club to start filling it with Trophies. Also, I think most logical fans (???) realise the play offs now seem unlikely, unless our performances show a dramatic turn around *fingers, toes & eyes crossed* & we rekindle that winning form we hit earlier in the season. Whilst the league is of prime importance, I'm not sure why Trousers would throw away our cup chances in favour of the league because, as Jonny suggests, it's likely we'll finish mid-top half in the table, possibly just short of the play offs. A cup win or strong FA cup run would benefit the club & team morale greatly, as well as galvanising the squad in preperation for a strong campaign & impetus to win League One next season.
  7. To be fair, I think Burley paid himself!
  8. Like we need anymore evidence that Guy Askham is a thorough bred ***t!!!! (god bless you Alan)
  9. That's lovely to hear & restores my faith in humanity a bit. I feel most sorry for Andrew's family & friends who must have been doing their absolute nut with worry about a slightly confused Saints fan strolling into the wrong (any) pub in South Bermondsey!
  10. Oops! Missed that!
  11. Not THE most exciting news but forgot to post that Mark Wotte finally has a new job coaching Football club Universitatea Craiova (Romanian team). 18 month contract. Just in time really considering he rather over-confidentally told me that he'd definitely be working next season (& I'm aware he spoke to a few clubs). Took half a season but still, good luck to him. Still, I've got my MK Dons tickets for Wednesday. Now, about these transfers...
  12. Yeah, saw that. I think our club could have dealt with it better but it swings both ways. Some just don't like to be on the receiving end. Still, who cares what a failed Premiership manager thinks!
  13. That's the team I'd predict except maybe starting with Perry rather than Seaborne rather than 75% (but who knows?!) of the back 4 being debuts that have never played together. I'd imagine Lallana will be on the left with Waigo right though.
  14. Davis Otsemebor - Fonte - Perry - Harding James Schneiderlin - Hammond Waigo - Lallana Lambert Subs: Seaborne, Thomas, Antonio, Connolly, Mills, Wotton & Bart.
  15. FINALLY...A RIGHT BACK!! Really pleased we finally have a natural full back, an attacking one at that. Should settle our defence much, much more. Allows James to go in the Wotton position which most will be much relieved to see. 6 month is a short contract but wise planning no doubt. I'm confident in the management but seems Cortese doesn't take any sh*t. With the money and backing he's got behind him, he clearly expects certain standards and isn't prepared to bow down to anyone. Still, as long as the club is ran well. I assume Pardew is seeing if we get promotion as to whether we keep Jon (another surname like Morgan's that I can't spell...great!). Then, I guess we'll bring in even better quality. Prudent planning it seems. Overall, really chuffed we have recognise full backs, as well as Fonte in the middle and back up at the back. Now we can concentrate on maybe installing a natural left winger (unless we push Harding up) to balance our shape, and an attacking midfielder. It's good to finally be getting some depth and competition in the squad. Good on the Saints! Millwall will be an interesting game. Wish I was going!
  16. I'd have thought so. We've a new & exciting transfer policy which differs on every level to that of the last reign. We sign decent, established/up & coming players that other clubs want and we sign players without injury & with the intention to play them.
  17. Not me! Heard from the youth team (after watching him training) that he was awful although he scored a few playing for a contract. Never asked for him to be so vastly overpaid. No wonder we nearly went t*ts up judging by some of the contracts Hone was dishing out! What, like trying extra hard for...a lucrative contract? Probably the same Polish affliction that made the lazy, clumsy Rasiak look so sharp, determined & better than we'd ever seen him in a Saints shirt (despite his goals) in pre season. In the shop window, desperate for a big pay day!
  18. That'll be that tw*t Jim Hone we've got to thank for that!
  19. I was more excited about Tucktonia. Tuckton! haha. Blast from the past. The theme park what once the pride of Christchurch. Takes me back. Used to get soooo excited passing it when ickle kids but unsure if we ever actually went in there. Bet health and safety wasn't like it is now (like that kid losing his ear on the rapids at Thorpe Park!)
  20. No, think it's just you & wanting something to moan about. Do you know Alpine?! Some moan when we've got tight fisted meddling, incompetent, divisive chairmen like Lowe & Askham who had no ambition & would rather use the club to feather their own nest. Then we get professional, top draw businessmen intent on putting the club back in the top flight with a PROPER management & coaching set up (people with actual football pedigree rather than Lowe's cheap/washed up nobodies that he knew best) & a wise, well planned business model, shrewd transfers, culminating in a great winning run once our season gathered pace...now being further strengthened with very good signings like Fonte (& many rumoured others) and the response...worry?! FFS. You can't win. I think the Swiss have acted impeccably in their business activities. No Man Utd, Chelsea or Liverpool (or the Skates pretending they had money) multi-million spending or huge loans. Just a stadium that's paid/owned by the club. Good training facilities currently being improved (to help attract better players & streamline the club no doubt) & a steady financial footing funded by extremely profficient, well balanced & media shy/professional professionals. I'd not lose too much sleep over that. Unless they decide to leave the club but, from what Liebherr & Cortese have said (& judging by their actions) , that's not about to happen soon. They're in it for the long term! Lighten up!
  21. Very good player and one I mentioned on the HCDAJFU thread (alhough totally fair not to have read down to the sheer size of the thread), about him being out of contract but I was unsure whether we'd be able to attract someone of Barnes quality. Saying that, that was before we signed Fonte so the new phase of transfers has stated it's intent. That was be an amazing signing if we managed that but I'd imagine wages may be an issue & whether he'd be seduced by Pardew's plans/ambition. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=556230#post556230
  22. Opinions vary!
  23. You're an idiot! The key difference being NC is competent, astute & supports, learns & listens to the people that understand football as opposed to his hugely arrogant predecessor who thought he could learn a lifetime of sport in an afternoon & make important football decisions himself. 2 subsequent relegations, a self serving attitude, complete disdain to the fans & the most destructive reign in the club's history (which virtually destroyed the club had it not been for Liebherr's rescue) & ignorant morons like you are banging on about plaudits for a 10 year reign in the Premiership, etc. You must be typing that to provoke some sort of reaction as I struggle to believe a genuine fan of the club, who attends matches, engages with fellow fans & loves the sport of football harbours that opinion...However, I guess the clever/dumb balance has to be levelled out somehow! ;0)
