  1. If you thought Idiakez was sh*t, that proves how little you know. Did you watch Idiakez in many games at St Mary's?
  2. Totally agree & mentioned the same thing on other threads. Yes, let him take goal scoring opportunity free kicks but not free kicks delivered for players attacking the ball and defintely not corners. He's too important in the box! It's no coincidence that Harding's free kick was intercepted & stuck in the net by Lambert. I hope Pardew wrote that down in capitals & underlined it on his note pad!
  3. A spirited battle but our final ball & delivery let us down yet again (& not taking our chances). Great ball winning & we were the better team 1st half but they caught us on the break & exploited our defences lack of pace (Fonte would have been such an asset today!). Felt sorry for Perry's mistake which gifted em a goal cos he made sooooo many vital interceptions. Wasn't too happy with our aimless hooding & ball watching on occasions. Papa's touch wasn't great today & I wonder why Lambet take corners when he's so dangerous in the box?! Set piece, Harding tajes...Lambert. Goal. I rest my case! All in all, great fans, great atmosphere. Good battle but their better quality on the ball shone through last 20mins. Thought Davis was a bit suspect with his positioning today but it's a result I expected, just hoped not quite as bad.
  4. Saw that by Queensway this morn. It's been cleaned off now.
  5. Papa Waigo's often caught crossing the line. In this case, the reach around!
  6. No way! Look at Waigo's stats. Much more of a footballing brain too. He score goals & assists a lot. Changed the Stockport game. Don't remember BWP being so influential. How many key games has Papa won? (JPT games, last min sub appearances winning games, vital assists, Southend away, etc.) Waigo can run hot & cold but he's much more effective than BWP (who was just thick!) & Waigo has a great temperament & attitude. A far cry from BWP. To compare him to BWP is an insult.
  7. I won a small bet v Stockport but narrowly missed the 3-0, Lambert to score 1st bigger win. Tonight my mate stuck a tenner on Lambo to score 1st & 3-1 @ 50/1 (very high odds so not sure if this was with his halftime score too). Regardless, great win...for Saints & him. Lucky barsteward!
  8. I forgot to add, you guys need to get a sense of perspective!
  9. Oh, so take that as gospel then! You question everyone positive & jump on the negative bandwagon cos it suits & take the word of supporters. Not wanting to disrepect the forum members that understand the game & give a valid view, a large part of this forum & fickle fans in general do not have a feckin' clue! Only the other wk at St Mary's during the Stockport game, the usual old boy/gob sh*te was shouting out, going red in the face & bursting veins in the opening 5mins (which I & my friend found intensly irritating)...the squad passing & the game being cautious. To be fair, it was a dull game but the opening mins are often like that. It's like chess, fathoming your oponent out. We've certainly dipped in form recently but that could have been due to relentless fixtures & certain players (Lambert, Lallana, James, Hammond & Harding before injury) never getting rested. Once these new players have bedded in, giving us more depth, I'm confident fortunes will improve. Don't forget Pardew has already achieved a lot in a relatively short space of time.
  10. Not good enough. We've drawn too many & should be dominating games more. Yes, the pitch sounded poor but that's football in the lower leagues! Pardew's gonna start attracting questions with his spending & lack of peformances if things don't start improving soon. Being fair, new players need to bed in but none have set the world alight. We've been sh*t in many recent games which is why I'm concerned about the Skate game. No muscle in midfield! Exeter sounded the better side. That's not good enough.
  11. I still think the Addams family chant...your sister is your mother, your father is your brother...or however it goes. Comic gold!!
  12. Whilst I'm not that keen on the sash, I can understand the reasoning. People need to get a sense of perspective. It's a fooball shirt, for a limited run, which will likely revert to the more popular vertical stripes (or some derivation of) when the subsequent kit is launched!
  13. I thought the old Wimbledon fans were always decent. Clapped us at Dellhurst Park & all I saw was us lot giving em the finger! Harsh! Need to be more gratious! There's always the moronic element that hate the opposition, regardless, but I don't see the problem. If anything, since the takeover, a certain element of our fans have been arrogant & smug. We need more humility as Markus & Cortese are a very good thing but they can leave as easily as they arrived. I hope not for sometime but never become too smug, just be grateful.
  14. and show the banned video on the screens (while covering the kid's eyes!) I reckon "I've got 99 problems but a b*tch ain't one!" would be great to play when the Skates came out of the tunnel! There was a funny rhyme in one of the Echo comments but I can't find it now.
  15. Ridiculous thread to compare the self serving, incompetent Lowe with the competent businessman that is Cortese. While I don't agree with Cortese's spat with the Echo (although in your mind everyone agrees with Cortese - many do NOT!), Nicola & Markus have done more good in their brief reign than Lowe did in over 10yrs of his destructive tenure. To compare our current CEO (who saved the club, in league with Markus) to the most destructive, meddling, divisive & damaging Chairman in the club's history is nothing short of idiotic!
  16. The online registration is a joke. Phoned the club for the same reason & says already registered. Doesn't allow you to register it all online (I.e. Need customer no from the club) although I got my number & still can't register. Emailed the club & still not heard back. The club need to really improve the online ticket system as it's poor.
  17. It's got to be Liebherr, hasn't it?
  18. There, ya see. Every cloud...
  19. I think a clear & resounding Yes. Both players have scored vital goals which have, in turn, helped win vital games & the pair each work very well as match defining (impact) subs. Ok, they have their faults but their contribution & creation far outweigh their weaknesses. Besides, I truly believe their potential to improve is massive (a million times more than over-rated idiots like McGoldrought!). Antonio is still so young & Waigo still learning the English game, yet their contributions & stats now speak clearer than many fickle, arm chair fans that were shouting such idiotic responses at various instances Saturday afternoon. They both share some welcome traits. Main being a superb mental attitude & determination (despite not often starting, particularly Papa) & their obvious pace & bustle to hassle/worry defenders. Good team spirit, they seem to play without arrogance & display a distinct eagerness to improve & learn (for both the squad & themselves)...IMHO.
  20. Awful game. Good result. Bloody cold...& won a small bet (although so near to getting a better win with 2nd bet - Lambert to score 1st & Saints to win 3-0. 18/1). Thought Stockport would try & nulify us but poor performance once again. We're really not convincing. Fair play to Pardew & Papa though. Key, early (ish) substitution that changed the game. Papa got in their faces, chased loose balls, hassled defenders, scored & generally made a nuisance of himself. He looked eager & sharp. AP clearly wanted him to come on & prove a point & that he did. I thought his mental attitude was brilliant. Papa Waigo's won us a good few games with vital goals/assists. I must say, despite his sometimes hot/cold performance nature & my overall opinion being 60/40 (in his favour) before the game, I like him & he did brilliantly well in his attacking forward role & I think he'd be a valuable asset to hold onto. Much more so that what I have currently seen of Barnard, although too early to judge. Usual pace & graft from Antonio. Just needs to notch th power on his crosses down a few notches as he always clears the whole goal mouth, often the 18yrd box. Morgan had good spells 2nd half. Otsemebor (???) I didn't see make a single challenge until 60/70 mins. Not impressed so far but too early to judge on 1 poor match. I thought Mills was good against Ipswich but he let himself down today, just not his day. Terrible day at the office for him (along with Wotton who was also better against Ipswich, sloppy today bar 1 decent pass)
  21. Beat me to it! Good signing!
  22. Same, past problem with a lot of the players played during the Dutch era, Too slow & not up to the standard we require!
  23. Was hoping for the latest news on Danns but seems just the usual bickering going on! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Seems it'll go to the wire to ensure Pardrew gets his man!
  24. Is that suppose to be funny? I know it was a forum "in joke" & you mean well (& I'll come across as grumpy) but it was never that funny. Certainly not after the 65th time, after the over-rated money grabber drew every last pound he could before slumping back to the never regions of European Football...or wherever he went! No offence!
  25. LMFAO - Any opportunity to bring someone down to the level "he who should not be named". The worst chairman in SFC history. How can you compare a Lowly Vulture with a Phoenix? Couldn't think of a more witty comparison, tired head. Sorry! Smacks of arrogance in Cortese's article & slightly self-righteous but the man has made many sacrifices, already achieved a lot &, I feel, is ok to mention that. Not the most humble article but maybe he's had his name muddied after a good start & feels the need to defend himself. Maybe he felt upset too by comments made, maybe he values his integrity & he will certainly understand the importance of maintaining a rapport with the fans, unlike his hugely arrogant, chastising & darn right disrespectful, incompetent predecessor...let's just use the term "tosser" to save on adjectives (or Lowe if you prefer). Still, 19C. You can try & pour your little agenda canteen of petrol around the faint embers of dischord but I don't think you'll get a roaring fire just yet...or anytime in the not so distant future (but if it enlightens your day, feel free). Best contact Ray Mears & rub sticks with him instead!! [that response wasn't intended to be quite so hugely patronising, but now i'm glad it is!! It's only 19C after all]
