  1. Well you have to draw the line somewhere I guess.
  2. With regards to Long's header, from where I was in the stand it looked at the time as if he was really stretching for it. I've yet to see the offside decision when Tadic flicked in through and Long was hauled down as that must of been marginal at best. Ref was just about to point to the spot and then obviously heard the offside shout from the linesman.
  3. Love getting home by 18.00 via the train! 1st 20mins we were beyond sh_it. We looked bereft of ideas and confidence but as soon as ML hit that thunderc*nt, which I think we were all celebrating before it even left his boot, the whole attitude and mood change. Body language was positive and we started to move the ball with pace and purpose. Why people on here give JWP grief I'll never know. He's an excellent player. Tactically astute and now, tough and good in all elements of the game. That said, ML was a monster and clear MOTM to me and those I traveled with.
  4. FFS. I'll type it out. 'Kin cut and paste boll_oxs. "All the gossip today is about who your new manager is going to be next week. Agents are all over it. Talk is that the decision has already been made. See you Sunday unless your still fuming after you lose tomorrow :D". That's all I've been sent. I know Eric checked his end after I messaged him to see if he could corroborate any of it and it appears he can.
  5. This is what I've had sent to me verbatim. "All the gossip today is who is going to be your new manager next week. Agents are all over it. Talk is the decision has already been made. See you Sunday unless you're still fuming after you lose tomorrow. "
  6. So a bloke who doesn't go to games is saying we should boycott an away game, which we've all booked travel for and bought match tickets, that has absolutely no impact on Saints finances whatsoever as he doesn't understand that initial allocations are sale or return? Yep, that's a great plan that is. Well it's a great plan if you're a moron I guess.
  7. I said to Ericb after the Huddersfield (A) game that he was such a negative, scared to lose above all else, manager that we should get rid there and then before it dragged us into real trouble. The very latest they should have binned him was after Leicester. Now it's too late and we are going to get relegated.
  8. I'm going. I've yet to see us win in the league this season. That is all.
  9. He's shockingly poor and should have been sacked months ago. He'll take us down.
  10. We can't really blame Saints for this. If the Russians don't want to sell him then they won't, no matter what we say or do this end. We've made an offer, player appears to be willing to move but the Russians hold the nap hand. Personally I'm not sure buying a huge ego in is a sound move but I'm usually wrong anyway.
  11. I know the person in question too. If he's said it it's because it's true.
  12. I don't have a clue, it's just what I was told today.
  13. Moscow want all the money up front apparently and that's a sticking point, or so I'm told. No more news regarding the agent/player's view to the move though.
  14. He is such a sh_it manager and will get us relegated.
  15. I was half way up right behind the goal win my son. I have never, ever gone as mental at a goal as I did that night. Never. I still have the bruises. Looking at my son, who had tears streaming down his cheeks as we stood on our seats singing Que Sera Sera, will live with me forever. & to think that so many sad sacks decided not to go as they said we'd get stuffed.
  16. My mate seems to think a bid is definitely in for approx £30m + £5m add ons but players agent is still hawking him out. I assume they hope to smoke out a more glamorous/better paid move.
  17. Apart from the obvious cu_nts it was Pap's, quite frankly, bizarre obsession with conspiracy theories that did my nut in so I quit posting on there. Quite often there were some mature and intelligent debates, until Pap jumped it and starting chatting more shi_t than I actually thought was possible.
  18. For many of us he was the voice of football on the radio and will be sorely missed.
  19. Got a spot on The Fred Whitton. Pray for me.
  20. I've not heard anything about Sturridge but they were certainly serious about Theo and before Xmas it was close to a done deal. That changed after our run of results, as I posted a couple of weeks ago. The only surprise was that WHU didn't actually bid as I was told that Everton and they were both after him as soon as he had informed Saints the deal was off. I'll see what I can find out about Sturridge.
  21. Or simply, as I've already stated, the player not wanting to move to a team mired in a relegation battle and not looking like getting out of it. The ineptitude is in appointing a useless manager and not having the minerals to sack him. Now it's too late, the damage is done and we're sailing off into the Championship.
  22. His agent is apparently pushing for a move back to Italy as the player is royally fu_cked off with not playing. Nothing concrete as to whether it's with the blessing off the club or just the agent doing the rounds.
  23. That is utter, utter bol_loxs. It is simply to do with not wanting to get relegated and money. Lots and lots of money. If we'd have won a few games he would have signed but as I said last week, that changed with our recent results so he's ensuring he plays in the top flight and gets paid far too much for it.
  24. Jesus wept it was cold today. Didn't have my deep winter gloves on and I certainly paid the price. Rode a loop that meant the last 50km were into the wind. A deliberate decision as it was a training ride for Gent-Wevelgem. Emptied the legs though. Back into the hills next Saturday if it's dry.
