Interesting you mention the dithered and gaxumped theory as I have just heard a little snippet from someone inside the club that NA & NC have had a little bust up over this transfer. I think most people respect his opinion but he consistantly rams it down everyones throats every day on more than one occasion. Clearly designed to wind people up. how can anyone judge the level of risk when we dont know what the total pot of cash that is available to spend? surely if we spend £5million when we have £6 million available to spend is a much bigger risk than say £5mill when we have a total of £20 million to spend. risk has to be relative.

Absolutely agree. all of those points listed are clearly more important than the club developing a great infrastructure, building a team of talented individuals and the club finally feeling like its on the up and being run like a premier league side. His dad is skint and is advising him to go as he wants his managment cut end of. You cant tell me that his development is better served playing against other 18 year olds in the stiffs over playing competitive matches in the championship. I would pretty much bet that saints have said they will let him go if we get an offer that suits us. for me this is the key, will we get an offer that suits NC. 12million for a 17 year old thats has 2/3 of a season is inlikely and for that reason i think he will be here in september.

To be fair I very much doubt any paper would put a quote in from anyone if they didnt actually say it. They would be exposing themselves to a massive law suit if they did. For what it is worth I think he wants to leave, his dad has been instrumental in brainwashing him and he probably will go. Its just a matter of the right deal coming in. NC is playing hard ball and for that i am grateful as at least we will get a big fat cheque. IMO the only reason he will stay is if no one offers anythig close to what NC wants for him.
