http://www.thisissussex.co.uk/news/Reds-issue-hands-warning-Tubbs/article-3062518-detail/article.html Not sure if anyone has mentioned this guy but a friend of mine is a big Crawley town fan and really rates this striker and thinks he is nailed on succeed at a higher level.

11.20 am - you post saying i know a friend of his ill get on it. 3 minutes later after contacting said friend, who in turn contacts austin, who then comes back to you with detail on where he is wanting to go you post a response . fishy?>

as if we wouldnt be loving it if lambert celebrated in front of the swindon fans when he scored.

I think you have hit the nail on the head there. MS and DH playing together sit back and hold and rarely venture forward. Chappers adds a really nice balance to the midfield by looking regularly to get forward beyond the strikers. This allows the other player (DH) to sit in front of the back four and relinquish the need to get forward. We look stonger defensively and more potent moving foward as a result. I really rate MS and on saturday he started to play some really decent passes into the channels but in truth he doesnt yet fit into our side positionally. He is still young but for me in a 4-4-2 system he is a bit of a spare part. I think he will develop as he gets older but needs to find a position that suits him.

of all the ridiculous to55ers we have on this forum i vote you as my personal number 1. -
Dennis Wise - I was in a restaurant in Fulham a few years back on a table of a round 18 people (mostly saints fans). dennis and his current squeeze finished eating and was on his way out. as he walk passed our table i put out my hand and called out wisey. as he put his hand out i put my thumbr to my nose and shouted "ahhhhhhhhhhhh southampton reject." the whole table pi ssed themselves laughing at wisey. Oh my work after a number of expletives aimed i my direction i was invited to step outside to discuss further which was greeted with more laughter at our friend dennis. He left the restaurant in a hell of a mood. it still makes our group of lads smile even now.

deal with it. His dad is already trawling around the training acadamies of the top clubs in England looking at the best options for his son. He dad is not particularly discreet as to who he talks to abotu his plans for his son. If he gets his way AOC will get a move in January to a top 4 club with a view to loaning him back to soton. That came from the horses mouth (well his dads anyway).
-
Not much of a suprise but Im hearing Guly will not have his loan extended. unless of course NC overules Adkins.
-
If fonte does go to newcastle it will certainly put to bed the rumours that he had a fight with pardew over him continuosly flirting with jose bird.
-
Slightly Harsh IMO.
-
You are right about too many players not performing but if you look back at the whole season they werent perfroming under either pardew and / or wilkins and arguable worse. So what the problem is I dont know but lambert, hammond, morgan and harding in particular have lacked form for most of the season. I think we will see changes in jan / the summer as adkins ships out players he doesnt fancy and replaces. For me thats when adkins should be judged.
-
Unlikely but I would take a straight swap for austin.
-
I cant say I have ever dealt with the bloke but im sure he hands the correct number of tickets over the counter when asked particularly efficiently and am sure you would also get a polite enjoy the game on good days. I have however dealt with the brown haired girl who serves beer in the itchin stand and am pleased to confirm she is an absolute pleasure to work with. Thank you

From memory one of the biggest complaints on here was AP lack of a gameplan when plan A failed other than resort to hoof it long to Lambert. I remember his tactical master stroke at home to Orient this season when he took off Barnard who at the time was by far the best player on the pitch. Genius. Incedently that was the moment i screamed in discust and decided to withdraw my support to all things AP.
-
No he doesnt. At the time there was no truth in it otherwise he would have been sacked in the summer / late last season. The fact is that NC decided aroud 3 months later to sack him for whatever his reasons where at the time. How long after a statement that he isn going to be sacking him is it ok to go an sack him without being called a liar? 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 1 decade? NC doesnt strike me as a man that will dawdle over a decision for 2/3 months, more so a man that will identify a problem and deal with it quickly, concisely and without semtiment. A man that continues headlong into disaster without the balls to reverse a decision that he feels isnt working is a fool and has no place running a company IMO

Chamberlains dad is his agent and is already talking to the very top clubs in the premier league. There is talk (from his dad) About selling him to a top club and loaning him back. Whether saints agree to that is another matter of course. His dad is defo courting the big 5 clubs at the moment so unlike lallan there seems to be no longer term plan to develop his career here
-
Maybe not in January but I fully agree with your comments. Adkins at other clubs has clearly favoured a strikeforce with mobility and pace which unfortunately our Rickie doesnt have either in abundance. He will surely be replaced once a replacement has been found but maybe at the end of the season and I suspect RL knows it too.
-
interesting that the OP says we played a 4-5-1 and was there but NA himself states we played a 433, I wonder who was right?
-
Lambert is clearlt not the player he was last year we can all see that. He has never been blessed with pace but he appears so immobile this year it is almost embarrassing. The question i have is why ? is it an injury he is cvarrying that isnt being revealed or is he just one of these players that starts to rapidly lose fitness as he approaches 30. Either way if its not sorted out or cant be sorted out I think our Rickie will be sold at the end of the season and will end up dropping through the leagues rather quickly. I can honestly see him playing non league footy by the time he is 31 if he fails to sort out his mobility issues.
