  1. Ironic or not is doesnt look like they mad those quotes up does it?
  2. its only a question of bid acceptable to NC coming in and AOC will be off without a doubt
  3. To be fair I very much doubt any paper would put a quote in from anyone if they didnt actually say it. They would be exposing themselves to a massive law suit if they did. For what it is worth I think he wants to leave, his dad has been instrumental in brainwashing him and he probably will go. Its just a matter of the right deal coming in. NC is playing hard ball and for that i am grateful as at least we will get a big fat cheque. IMO the only reason he will stay is if no one offers anythig close to what NC wants for him.
  4. so after all that, i have learnt that we are owned by a company called DMWSL613 LTD which is a company owned by Markus Liebherr who is now dead. Therfore the company is now owned by his estate. The question is who are the beneficiaries of his estate? is it just one person or is it a number of people in his family? if its more than one how do they intend share the company /estate up between the beneficiaries? e it seems as though despite NC stating that the family are still 100% behind the club there are still many complexities that we have no answers too. so i think its a fairly valid question of who actually owns the club to be honest.
  5. however everyone wanted us to spend £2million on a player from swindon who 12 months earlier had been bought from a non leaue club for 50k. Seems like an inexpensive gamble to me and its hardly likely to be NA main transfer target of the pre season.
  6. Apparantly NC has had a massive row with alex ferguson over AOC is what im hearing (a decent source that wouldnt go into detail). maybe hew wont be going there then!!
  7. Totally agree with this post. All forum members are equal, but some are more equal than others it seems
  8. and for those that havent paid the £5 and cant start a new thread with a rumour or piece of supposed horses mouth information?
  9. Just heard some news on a signing but i have nowhere to post it!
  10. so where do we put rumours that we have heard or read now? surely we cant warrant opening a new thread for each? Plus the fact most people cant start new threads/
  11. Look back at the Napoli side that Maradonna played in. It is widely accepted that he was a true great in a very poor team and he won them the italian league. I agree talent can be stifled but any manager that is worth his salt that had messi in his side would play to hsi strengths and he would therefore shine. I do not buy anyone that trys to tell me a world class player would look anything but world class in a side that was shyte and was also playing against shyte. A world class player buy definition would have the ability to adjust his play to take into account the fact that his team mates would be slower in thought and poorer in talent. Remember MLT shone in a side that was very very poor in comparison to those we played in week in week out. Drop messi into our side for this season (a side that is fresh from the old 3rd division) and you really think he wouldnt shine like a beacon in our side. Please!
  12. I apologise as I have clearly got you wrong. of course you never jump to (often negative) conclusions with little or no evidence particuarly when it concerns the running of the club or the strategy they are taking? In fact I await the wrath of the forum to jump on the bandwagon and beat me and my opinion of your posts as Im so far from being accurate. cue 15 page thread of support for Hypo and his "finger on the pulse" view of all things saintly.
  13. FFS, Pots and Kettles spring to mind coming from you. You truly are a funny man. Funny in the head that is.
  14. That bit is bullshyte. I know someone who works with Les Read closely and whilst they wont divulge any information on signings etc it is clear that NA makes the decisions on who to sign based on budgets available. Others have an input but NA calls the shots. They did hint that there is a vibe around the cub at the moment that things are starting to happen. Again when pressed the NC silence police threat meant lips were sealed much to my frustration.
  15. possibly, or the fact if there is cash to be had then than swallow your pride and take it. With the vast sums that agents will earn for brokering a deal, I would most wouldnt take the moral high ground and just take the cash when it comes down to it. Just my opinion though.
  16. I have a client that is a right pain in the arse. I fell out big time and said I couldnt work withher anymore.she phoned yesterday to discuss a deal. I am now meeting her this afternoon. Moral of the story?
  17. Absolutely agree. Its great isnt it. a new kit to look forward to every year all for the annual spend of £40. well done saints. a fanbase of well dressed fans not wearing last seasons designs.
  18. The problem NC has with AOC is that he has been banging on about the youth academy and how we want to emulate Barca by bringing through young players and building the team around him only to potentially lose the first player he brings through. For that reason and that reason alone I think NC will be completley abstructive on letting AOC go regardless of what the boy personally wants to do. NC will only sell if its massively weighted in our favour allowing him to save face. He has a big dilema on his hands and therefore will fight tooth and nail to keep him here.
  19. A friend that knows chamberlains old man told me yesterday that he is after a coaching roleas part of any deal that takes his son to the arse (or other club) and also that he was banging on about being skint. The mans is clearly seeing his son as a meal ticket and wants him to move to activate his cut in negotiations. Seems as though his thoughts are for himself and not the development of his sons game. once a skate always a skate
  20. Agreed it wuld be taxable revenue but you only pay tax on your profits so if the money is offset against cost (ie transfers runnumg costs etc) and the company breaks event then tax is irellivant.
  21. £15 million i meant!
  22. Sowhats to stop saints signing a "sponsorship deal" with a company in the leibherr estate fro circa £15 per year? That would be an easy way to inject cash into the business to get around the rules.
  23. Fonte is on 19k per week.
  24. in the cup game this year against Man Who 3/4 of their team were really poor but i would still take pretty much all of them if the chance arose for saints.
