I'm reliably informed that Koeman is not happy and has made his feelings known to the board. He was given assurances when he took the job and the board have already failed to stick to their side of the deal. Before you all start slating me, this information came directly from someone who works for the holding company and is a business associate of my father. He said, 'even I don't know what is going on, there's a split in the boardroom with one or two people making all the decisions. Take it from me, it's not a good place to be at the moment.' Now I've said far too much already, I've supported Saints all my life and I believe our fans have the right to know what is going on. We've been treated like idiots before and it should never happen again. Sadly it is and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. Can I just remind people what Ralph Krueger said when he arrived: “I am honoured to take on the role of Chairman of Southampton Football Club and the group. “I have had the opportunity to meet with a large percentage of the staff at Southampton and it is clear there is a positive soul throughout the Club, both at St Mary’s and the training ground. “We will build on that soul by creating platforms of open communication both inside with the staff and outside with our fan base. “Although there is a solid foundation in place, the Club still has tremendous untapped commercial potential. We will continue to nurture “The Southampton Way” by reaching for consistent growth in all departments to ultimately build a culture that allows Southampton to remain healthy and sustainable in the future.” Lies, lies and more lies. Enough is enough.

New poll, do you trust KL and the new board?
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
I think they've already shown enough to prove that they're not to be trusted. They lied when they said we'd had no offers for players. Interestingly our odds for relegation have dropped from 100/1 to 11/2 in the last 2 weeks. -
Exactly what I said after the Swindon game. If we go to Liverpool with this set up we'll get ****ted.

Lovren joins Liverpool - Official
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to toe_punt's topic in The Saints
I told you last week that he was definitely going to Liverpool. He had talks Tues / Weds. We wanted Martin Kelly as part of the deal but he didn't want to come. To be fair, why would he??? My source also told me that Morgan is definitely going. Expect an announcement next week. -
I'll bet you a cheese sandwich that nothing happens today.

Fraser Forster Joins on 4 Year Deal - Official
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Wrensup's topic in The Saints
Been told we bid £4m. That is laughable. No wonder we're struggling to bring in players if we're making utterly ridiculous offers like that. -
Hypochondriac - maybe a bit strong but just being honest and realistic. What I've said is pretty much the same as what Ronnie Radford's Boots says a few posts before. Sour Mash - I'm well aware that it was a pre season friendly. My point is that we need some signings and pretty soon. What's the point in playing a bunch of players who aren't going to be in your starting 11 come August? We should be getting players in early so that they have time to gel. What we currently have is great for the future but not good enough now. We need strength & experience. A goalkeeper. 2 CB's. Possibly a central midfield player & definitely someone who can finish. Our finishing in all 3 friendliest has been **** poor.

I thought we looked poor against Swindon. Pelle looked nothing special at all. Lousy first touch on far too many occasions and lacks power and strength compared to Lambert. Cork put in a solid performance, it'll be a tradgedy if he's not offered a new contract. Chambers and Clyne looked like our best players. Mayuka and Sharp not good enough and I'm not sure about McQueen, Isgrove, Targett or Gallagher. All would benefit from a season long loan in a lower league. Maybe in a year or two but none of them look ready for life in the Premiership just yet. The youngster who impressed me most was Reed. Again, it's probably a bit too soon but I expect him to become something very special. We need to sign some experience, particularly up front... and a goalkeeper. Not convinced by the 4-3-3 formation & style that Koeman seems to like. It might look good going forward but a decent premiership side will rip us to shreds as we look far too lightweight in the middle. Take a team like that to Liverpool on the opening day and we'll get a right ****ing hiding.
-
Yes, but Chambers is going to Arsenal and Clyne will play at LB next season. ;-)

My source tells me that Lovren will hold talks with Liverpool on Tuesday / Wednesday. Two options, upfront fee + add ons or cash plus a player (Martin Kelly). Morgan is not happy and will be gone by the time the season starts. Koeman & the board really struggling to get transfers nailed down. Two targets have gone to rival clubs, (I'll get names. Think one is Janmaat), says that we were miles off with wages & that there's a general feeling we're a risky option. One agent said that players want to see a statement of intent and all he sees is a club that's still selling its best players and not bringing in the sort of players that will enable us to compete. General vibe is that we're stuck in a vicious circle. The more we sell the harder it is to attract. Definitely after a foreign striker but won't happen until Osvaldo situation is resolved. He's causing real problems behind the scenes.

Poch aiming for the league title with spurs
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to Bos Vegas Saint's topic in The Saints
Ha ha ha ha ha ha. (Pauses for breath.) Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. He'll be lucky if he's still got a job at Spuds this time next year. -
Thought he looked very solid in the WC. The Dutch call him Beton Ron. Which means Concrete Ron. :-)
-
We are currently well off the pace. If things don't change dramatically then I honestly think we'll be relegated. Too many changes, a lack of experience and a manager with no premiership experience.

CONFIRMED - Steven Caulker - DONE DEAL (loan)
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
I was only told last night that Koeman wasn't keen on Caulker. What wasn't clear was if that was as a player or whether he wasn't keen on the price etc? -
Cork is a legend. An essential part of this squad. I'd be more annoyed about his departure than any other player. Every team needs solid dependable players like him. More fool us if we don't tie up a new contract for him.

Had a chat with my source last night. Here's the main bits. Koeman has missed out on a couple of players and is said to be becoming frustrated in his search for defenders. Lovren situation being monitored very closely. No decision as yet. Could go either way. Certainly won't be allowed to leave before a replacement is identified. Koeman believes that too much money is being paid for players by premier league clubs and that he has identified players who aren't household names for a fraction of tne price. Says the World Cup doesn't help as it just seems to over inflate player values. Don't expect the signing of anyone who had a decent WC. Martins Indi was spoken to but he was set on going to Portugal as it's his home country. Also spoke to Janmaat but fee too high & other clubs are offering silly wages. Caulker was spoken to and visited Staplewood before Koeman's arrival but I'm told that Koeman isn't keen. Club has received an initial enquiry about Chambers. RK saying that the club had not received offers for AL & LS was a lie. Talks began before the WC but he didn't want to upset the fans and the club didn't want transfer talk to overshadow their performances at the WC... Not much chance of that. MoPo instructed not to come fishing for players when he left. Despite this, Spurs have definitely been in touch re. Schneiderlin. Koeman desperate to keep him more than any other player. Board believe MoPo is responsible for the unrest with certain players. Goalkeeper will probably be the next announcement. Approaches made to 2 clubs but no names given. Again, club/Koeman not happy about some of the figures being quoted for goalkeepers. Currently talking to 2 clubs about the sale of Osvaldo, one is Galatasaray. Money offered is no where near what we paid. No contact with Burnley re. Ings. Loads of press speculation about players, none of whom have been discussed so it's pure fabrication. The targets that Koeman has identified have not been mentioned in the press. Basically the press don't have a clue who Koeman is chasing and the club want it keeping that way.

Lovren joins Liverpool - Official
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to toe_punt's topic in The Saints
Lovren will not stay. He's there because he has to be but he's no intention of staying. He'll be allowed to go as soon as his replacement is lined up. -
Apparently Caulker doesn't fancy a move to QPR and would prefer to join Saints. Didn't somebody say they'd seen him at Staplewood a couple of weeks ago?
-
It's ok but I'm not a fan of that sludgy blue with the yellow and the shorts look a completely different shade. Reminds me of that navy kit with the yellow chest panel from a few seasons back - the worst Saints kit of all time IMO. Black would've looked much better.

Do You Like the new kit (2014/15 unbranded)?
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd replied to The9's topic in The Saints
What's horrific about it? It's a striped adidas shirt & would've looked miles better than that stock piece of **** last season! http://www.sufcdirect.co.uk/mobile/65_Home-Replica-Kit-1415/140_Home-Replica-Kit-1415/2246_Adult-Home-Shirt-1415.html -
At least 6 needed. Morgan and Lovren are gone so need some real quality. Still ****ed off that the likes of Caulker going to QPR. We should be looking for some players with premiership experience rather than gambling on players from the Dutch league.
