He isn't 'saints fit.' As an exphysio, Adkins is really good at the getting players in shape side of things. When Lambert came to us he was clearly a good talent but once we worked on his exercise plan amongst other things, he has improved hugely. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you build your team around Sharp? If so that may be one reason why he will take some time to adjust.
-
Yeah not sure he is properly fit yet. Much too early to tell what he is like yet. He missed a chance at West Ham, but in my opinion it came to him quite quickly. Although he should have scored, it wasn't as bad as people made out.

I also believe in respecting a culture if you move into it as well. That would apply to Britons moving abroad as much as anyone else.
-
Nothing wrong with multiculturalism (as long as those involved have the correct mindset on both sides to make it work.) to suggest that in all cases people coming here and changing our culture is a good thing is plainly nonsense.
-
Could well do! Good to see all different nationalities mixing though. At some clubs you do get those with common languages who pair off together. At pitcher there was guly, schneiderlin, chaplow, forecast (chatting up a girl in the bar on his own) and jos. last night there was Richardson, barnard, jos and seaborne.

If I didnt have an iphone I would have a Samsung galaxy s two. Fantastic phone.
-
Hardly. Just coincidence that I happened to be there on Saturday and stood behind them waiting to pay last night.
-
Jos is amusing. A load of the players were in The pitcher and piano on Saturday and he was joking around then. Last night they watched a film in Eastleigh and Jos was berating Richardson about the five pence he owes him saying he never forgets his debts! Richardson was also moaning about the three quid parking charge. I'm not sure it's something a football should be too concerned with!

It's yet another reason to oppose the EU in its current form. Australia's immigration policy is miles more sensible.
-
And this is the exact view of the polish immigrants I work with.
-
Oh I can quite imagine that British people are similar. However if I moved to another country, I would make a concerted effort to learn about the culture and the language if it was a non English speaking country. I appreciate that not every British person would though. That is also not to say that every immigrant is like this as that is not the case at all. It's more to do with a mindset. Those who have come to live here and make an effort to see what being British is all about are much easier to get along with and I believe much happier themselves.

What part is unintentionally comedic?

Ha. I'm certainly not saying that everyone who is Indian is like that as verbal likes to think I do. He mistakenly believes I am prejudice in some way towards minority groups which is quite frankly laughable. Everyone is welcome in my business no matter who they are. However, as I said certain minority groups have no interest in integration and that is where the problems start. Even the polish people I work with state the same thing. Verbal assumes it is something I do despite knowing nothing about me, how I live my life or any of the people involved. I have a great working relationship with people in general including many born in India. My only issue is with those who dont want to associate with other cultures or try to learn anything about Britain. This is particularly true about those who do not speak any English. In my opinion this should be a basic requirement for coming into the country.
-
Seeing as you know nothing at all about my real life, I would stay quiet. I certainly wouldn't think that what I write on here is anything to do with how I am in real life. I get on well with a number of minority groups. The polish individuals I work with are extremely friendly but in my experience, certain minority groups have no interest in integration and they can come across as rude and hostile as a result.
-
If you weren't getting any you would change your tune.
-
People who come from other cultures do not always change our culture for the better. That is plainly rubbish.
-
Nothing wrong with that. My real world experience is that quite a few minority groups tend not to be very sociable and make no attempt to integrate at all. My dealings with families from India for example have largely been negative with them quite unfriendly and in some cases rude an hostile when they have been the ones in the wrong. I don't actually blame these families completely because sometimes they are unaware of British ways of doing things. Those who have read previous posts know what I do.
-
Well from my experience, if a foreigner does not speak English and lives here, they find themselves very isolated and make little or no attempt to learn about Britain or its culture. I don't think that's right personally.

It was the dell days original jokey comment coupled with Andy's predictably serious reply. Yes I hardly ever laugh out loud reading this forum.

Your edit at the bottom just made me laugh out loud for one of the first times ever on here. Good job.

When was Carroll either a top premier league or champions league striker?
-
Hardly. I would hope we were making similar preparations should we get promoted.
-
Very true but seeing as west ham tried for everyone in January, it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to get Rickie in. if we stay down and they go up then I wouldn't hold a grudge if he wanted a shot at the premiership.
-
Could well happen if we don't go up.
