Oh I can quite imagine that British people are similar. However if I moved to another country, I would make a concerted effort to learn about the culture and the language if it was a non English speaking country. I appreciate that not every British person would though. That is also not to say that every immigrant is like this as that is not the case at all. It's more to do with a mindset. Those who have come to live here and make an effort to see what being British is all about are much easier to get along with and I believe much happier themselves.

Ha. I'm certainly not saying that everyone who is Indian is like that as verbal likes to think I do. He mistakenly believes I am prejudice in some way towards minority groups which is quite frankly laughable. Everyone is welcome in my business no matter who they are. However, as I said certain minority groups have no interest in integration and that is where the problems start. Even the polish people I work with state the same thing. Verbal assumes it is something I do despite knowing nothing about me, how I live my life or any of the people involved. I have a great working relationship with people in general including many born in India. My only issue is with those who dont want to associate with other cultures or try to learn anything about Britain. This is particularly true about those who do not speak any English. In my opinion this should be a basic requirement for coming into the country.

Nothing wrong with that. My real world experience is that quite a few minority groups tend not to be very sociable and make no attempt to integrate at all. My dealings with families from India for example have largely been negative with them quite unfriendly and in some cases rude an hostile when they have been the ones in the wrong. I don't actually blame these families completely because sometimes they are unaware of British ways of doing things. Those who have read previous posts know what I do.

Well from my experience, if a foreigner does not speak English and lives here, they find themselves very isolated and make little or no attempt to learn about Britain or its culture. I don't think that's right personally.

I don't think that applies here as lee has done well IMO but I can see the point of view. It would only prove the poster who was unimpressed wrong if they had predicted that the poor form in their eyes would continue.

No one has me on ignore to my knowledge. Unless you are in pm dialogue with a number of posters about me (which would be extremely weird but not something that would surprise me) then I don't know how you could possibly know that either. The majority of 'stick' as you put It comes from the same four or five posters: buctootim, yourself, gingeletiss, thedelldays (who just likes to take the opposing view for the sake of an argument) and smirking saint. Two of those are on ignore and have been for sometime. It makes the messageboard a lot more readable. Thankfully, the vast majority are able to debate sensibly and without following a poster such as myself around the board and deliberately trying to bait them. The likes of spudgun, minty, old nick and trousers are examples of long term posters who funnily enough are able to disagree with me and address the points raised in an argument without resorting to the troll-like rubbish that the five I mentioned routinely come out with.

I quite agree. I think we have to remember that it is a big upheaval to come all the way over here and so I reckon he can only get better. He has contributed well so far and helped us to achieve some impressive results. I like him a lot so far.
