Genuinely surprised we seemingly haven't challenged for this. If we lose Adams there's going to be a heck of a lot of disappointment.
-
Indeed. Duk is the signing I'd expect alongside Adams or Piroe to provide cover in the squad.
-
Agreed. My only point was that I expect us to be a bit further down the line with our strengthening in key areas. It hasn't been a disaster because we've continued to get results but it is making me nervous about if we will bring in enough by next Friday.
-
I assume for those people the worry is that we will sell Adams and not get either of those players.
-
Leeds linked with a lot of exciting attacking talent
-
I'm not even that fussed about the amount spent. I just really think we need a refresh of some of the squad and a strengthening throughout the team including some of our strength in depth which we really don't have at the moment. Four players minimum I would say.
-
I don't believe all this doom mongering about only selling things to cover the spending from last year. I'm sure some of it is that but we obviously want to make some decent signings as well and I'm confident we will do over the next week. The key is if we can effectively replace everyone who has left or is leaving in that time and I'm not confident we will be capable of doing that.

The pieces are there to smash QPR on Saturday and give everyone a boost before the window closes. I'd love us to get a comfortable win where we end up a few goals clear. I can't remember the last time that happened.
-
Bollocks did you predict we would have a week to go with no strengthening of our centre backs or attack. You might have predicted we would sell a lot or most of our good players but you don't have to be Nostradamus to predict th

Totally different players and positions.

I think Martin said something about getting more in this week. I wonder if he's disappointed.
-
I think if people were honest with themselves, there wouldn't be many who were predicting us to be at this stage of the window having sold off most of our players worth selling, with the others linked with moves away, a week to go until the window shuts and we've brought in one promising youngster, a loanee and a free transfer. I fully expected us to have improved the attack and defence by now, not potentially weaken them further with more outgoings. The only positive is that we have been successful on the pitch which takes the pressure off a bit. I dread to think what the mood would be like had we started like Leeds.
-
I'm incredibly positive when we do something to warrant it. I'll leave it to others though to rate last summers transfer window as a 9 or 10 and take the flack when I rate us lower and state exactly why. That's not positivity it's delusion.

There you go @buctootimhe deserves everything he gets.
-
The point is if we let a known quantity like Piroe go elsewhere and we sell Adams then it's a risk to bring an unknown in and something our whole season could hinge on.
-
If we sign someone like Duk as our main striker signing and he's ineffective, I'm going to be so pissed off.

It's worth highlighting that soggy is STILL denigrating other posters such as @Turkishon the main board. Never let anyone be fooled about him innocently posting and then getting hounded. He targets others and then whines when he gets a bit back. -
If they're going to go I wish they'd just go. KWP Tella Adams Are more than likely off imo and the longer it drags on we are going to end up with a matter of days to get replacements.
-
Selling Che now will make me a fair bit more nervous.
-
Multiple reports have said that others are interested.
-
Compared to when she wore a bin liner.
-
If so many are interested, why would they accept 12 million straight away? You'd be hoping for a bidding war.
-
Bit weird if it's true and they've accepted 12 million. You would think they'd be able to get significantly more than that.
-
It really makes no sense for him to go to Leeds without us bidding unless we've been told not to bother by Swansea or we aren't really interested.
-
That seems a relative bargain. Come on saints.
