Is this thread really criticising a manager for sticking with tactics that have just produced 4 straight wins? Bizarre to the extreme! Yes we were a goal down - but it was totally one sided in our favour against the inform team in the division.

If Crouch did prevent a worse outcome for the club then I am grateful. However all the rumours that he did, need to be balanced with thoughts that who knows what would have happened at the last minute? and also where would we be if Markus was not delayed by the Crouch supported Pinnacle bid? I have no ill feeling to Crouch but feel the club has moved on. I genuinely hope he is still attending and enjoying the performances. I can't imagine that he is not going all the time - after all he often spoke about the saving the club being the main thing, so why wouldn't he go just because he isn't in power?

Hammond doesn't get many mentions but he is the sort of player we have been missing since CMFG

not at all, when he is winning you have to have confidence in the manager - who knows a huge amount more about his players and tactics than we do. We were easily on top for the vast majority of first half. More than happy for him to use both.

when people worry about losing Trottman or other loan players, remember Pardew got these in at short notice, attracting them when bottom with -10. If we are losing loan players in January, Pardew will have a few months notice, and will be hopefully top half by then and on a record breaking 10 straight victory run! Players will be more likely to come, Pardew will have proved himself to Markus and is likely to be supported.

Worth remembering our improvement pretty much coincided with papa playing. Don't think for a minute it is all, or even significantly, down to him - but believe his pace and unorthodox play has helped open things up.
