  1. Who is first 11 do you not think is good enough? Or, are you after more cover, if so where? I believe you said your aim for season was 17th. As, ever since the current side (arrivals of yoshida and Ramirez) we have been performing at about top 12 level, currently 15th - is side not good enough for your aims? 2. How many cbs do you want? Two internationals signed this season, two others who have been performing pretty well recently. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  3. Not seen either this season but both would be good option from bench, or to cover lallana/puncheon Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Making things up again. Find the thread. It was purely about money spent in summer does not tell the whole story, ie we spent a lot but had lower starting level (as in financial value of squad) compared the teams established in the top flight. Not sure why you feel need to derail every thread, particularly with made up stories? My last response on your trolling, hopefully you can allow those who can discuss football to do so? 5. Why do you want every thread to break down into childish bickering? You can't be that thick not to follow these threads surely? Either you are thick, or lying to provoke excitement in your life. In case you are struggling, I never said we had a league 1 standard side. I have been one of few saying all season that we are good enough to be clear of relegation battle before end of the season. What I did say, try and follow, is that a squad that was playing in league 1 months ago needs more spending to be competitive compared with established premiership sides. Hence side I listed has 5 new signings. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Who don't you think is good enough? Personally think first 11 is match for all outside top 6. Boric, Clyne, Yoshida, Forren, Shaw, Puncheon, Cork, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Ramirez, Lambert. Happy with cover in CB, CM, Guly for AM or No 10 role, If signed one or two more would like a top class CM like this Argentinian bloke we have been linked with, or a quick sub - although wonder if we have had ideal one all along and not used him? (Mayuka). If manager settles well, without signings, we will be comfortably 10th to 15th Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Stupid reply. Where do I say wipe history? This week sat down showing old dell highlights to son. That's football. Nothing to do with going week at the knees like school girl whenever ex player is mentioned! Some people need to grow up and keep sport as what it is Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Christ some over analysis here!! I don't overly care ex players views, when I was 8 I hero worshipped like some here still do, later realised that skill with a ball has little to do with intelligence, and likelihood of their opinions always being right. When we had the Lowe, crouch, Wilde circus the majority view was wanted chairman who wasnt after popularity and publicity, wanted to take club forward.... Bit like now!! When NA was sacked he was 8th longest serving manager in premiership. I fear that if we reach the target if champions league my family maybe priced out, NC won't care. What's the alternative? Aim to underachieve? My main assessment of a chairman is how team are doing, and quality of signings. On this he is doing well. Trust him? Like him? Think he puts fans first? Not really. Much of criticism seems childish, aiming low, jealousy or just not getting this is multi million pound business, not community/ fan on the board club. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Interesting post nickg, if we can briefly interrupt the are west ham doing as well as man u debate? 15 games left, both of us repeat our last 15 game form - we finish 2 points above them.
  10. Another trolling thread! CB clearly is sure whu will stay up. Probably reasonable and correct view. He is just emphasising point with comparison with man u. He knows its not strictly true. Guess no one would have had a issue if he had added "in my opinion". Too late, battle lines drawn, heels dug in lol As I am sad stato....using the easy, often used figure of 40 points for safety (reckon lower this year) West ham need 13 points from last 15 games. They have played 15 since beating us gaining 13 points! However, over last 6, or even 11 games their form would give them 10 more points. Their only win in last 8 games is against Norwich, worst form side. , Summary, think they are pretty safe, and helped by some teams performing badly, but stranger things have happened so not impossible. Man u can't get relegated tho
  11. Said all season reckon we will finish above them... Looking less mad now!
  12. Sorry to quote myself, just saving typing! Bit about translator.... Was that totally made up? I was watching game rather than manager, but from other side thought he was talking to players directly and spent more time alone than N A used to.. What did those who sit close see or hear?
  13. Sounds like old guy struggling to keep up. Saying had a translator in technical box every time needed to talk to a player???!! Not how I saw it. Spoke to players one to one. Alone in tech area every time I looked. NA often had Crosby with him. Saying mp got sack in November then got appointed then! Any sacking of NA would be wrong. None of squad played in premier league before. NC wrong to win higher than 4th from bottom! There is real snobbery in the old football crowd. I am still not convinced we have improved manager, hope we have. Not happy with way it was done. But you cannot argue that NC is trying to improve the club and is willing to take tough decisions. Starting to think there is chance we will look back on this as same principal of likes of dean Hammond, good bloke, did great job, continually looking to improve.
  14. According to radio Solent this morning, they asked fans their view before the game, now they have had time to calm down. Solent said every single fan, repeated and emphasised, every one, said that sacking NA and appointing MP was a good idea. Morgan made a telling comment about improvements with MP in one of interviews. Big NA fan so will need more convincing but was impressed with more changes than expected last night.
  15. Seems more trolls than posters here now On basis that 2 points (draws Everton and Wigan) would have been fair prediction withNA, guess anymore gives indication players happy.
  16. Simao sabros ....good skillful winger Diego collotto cb Both from his old club linked today
  17. Are you saying don't believe article? (Not sure whether I do or not, but clearly says NA wasn't keen on NC's view that top keep a priority)
  18. Is interesting twist..... As big fan of NA and disagreeing with the sacking this article raises interesting points; 1) transfer committee....no surprise, you would expect there to be a board type discussion, been happening for years 2) the article suggests that any failings were more on NA's side. NC signing well with Yoshida, Ramirez, ambitious attempt to sign Walcott. But NA not agreeing with NC's assessment that we needed a new top keeper. Even as big NA supporter it is clear that a top quality keeper should have been a priority and is one of biggest reasons we are where we are. Strange, my automatic assumption, when hearing of a disagreement between manager and chairman would be the chairman lacking ambition and not making best football decisions....this article puts it other way around. Not sure its truth but bit more positive for NC I suppose.
  19. 30th Jan,
  20. Transfer window isn't a game in itself. Its how club move forward. We have year on year, therefore transfer policy is successful. We have changed 4 out of 5 at the back. It will probably be 5 out of 5 by end of the day. Apart from RL all out field players still younger than peak of their career. It is unlikely we will need or see a high number of signings. Certain individuals have been proven wrong, time and time again, writing off players, the manager, predicting failure for the team. Its these who need to learn.
  21. Reckon complete made up ********.
  22. I'm happy here - thats all I can say at the moment
  23. no, he says it was his game plan and no regrets - sky sports news / solent you have to look at the other team playing against teams like Chelsea. explaining it well on solent at mo
  24. Norwegian TV filming outside St Marys 15 mins ago. Well, cameras and mic had foreign logo and TV presenter stunning blond lady ...assumed Norwegian!
  25. Sometimes my youngest just can't follow logic, gets confused and stroppy. You can't reason with him as set in his ways and doesn't understand. I have to say "OK whatever". Anyway, in response to your post... "Ok whatever". Have nice day and enjoy your season....NA has a bunch of lads, without prem experience doing well and playing dome great football.
