doubt our squad is that expensive in this league
-
They seem confident http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=135707&sid=ce140ac8021da1d839597f6426329978&start=20 the moose guy, from talksport, who was on radio saying they are by far the biggest team in division and will walk league, tweeted last night to remember we were only league 1 last year - hopefully we will be under-estimated!
-
Lets not forget that Alpine thought our squad was weak last season and should settle for play offs. After 11 games last season Norwich had 20 points, after playing 6 home and 5 away. After 11 games we have 23 points, after playing 5 home and 6 away. Both of the teams who went up automatically last season drew 9 and lost 4 away. Reckon we have 54 more home points available, drawing away every game would give us another 17, added to our 23 so far would give us 94, that would do me! Away draws, particularly against top teams, are good results.
-
3 points over next two games will keep us on track for automatic promotion. Anything today is a bonus and would make Tuesday even more of an exciting opportunity for be heading for promotion.
-
Not make or break, delldays 'must win' We lost last season. Agree they will start to shape our season, particularly home game against WHU
-
Home games most important imho. If we keep winning at home, our confidence here will be sky high, takes the pressure off away games and we will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season - however we do away.
-
Nicola "Nigel, very pleased with your start. Do you think you have promotion in hand?" Nigel "thanks boss. Hopefully, tell you what, I'll ring the managers who got promotion the last few years to see what we need to do" Nigel (to the if we last four managers who came 2nd) "Hi, its nigel here. How hard was it to get promoted?" Managers "Hi Nigel. You have started so well, playing like Brazil. You need a steady season, if we had been scoring like you are 80 points would have been enough" Nigel to Nicola "Boss, looks like 80 points should do it. With our start I reckon if we win all of our home games and then beat skates and Brighton away, we will have plenty of points - even if we lose the rest of the home games" Nicola to Nigel "That sounds good. I have also looked at the last 20 years. Do you realise that the team top after 10 games has been automatically promoted in 13 of those seasons. Even Sheff U who started 05/06 with 9 wins and one defeat went up automatically." Nigel "did they boss, some people are too lazy to look that sort of thing up!" Nicola "do you think CB Fry and Krackan will be able to follow this?" Nigel "no, don't think so"

think you clearly show why he is missing the point! lol
-
think you should try a 5th read! Makes sense, his is logical.
-
It does make it look worryingly achievable! Think one thing in our favour is that we are, in the main, a young squad. Players who you would hope could get better and be good enough to play in a mid-table prem side. If we do go up this season it will be, imho, down to 2 years of good management, team spirit and confidence, and a great home record for two years - all of those will give us a good basis for the premiership. One step at a time..just keep winning all the home games and I will start getting confident! Still early days and would look very different if we dropped points in next few home games.
-
so enjoy a 100% home record, beating skate, Brighton and Reading away and we will be up!
-
so yes 80 is about right, in last four years - two 80 would have been enough, two 81. home form will be the story of this season imho.
-
would be more than happy with two home wins, anything away a bonus.
-
We need about 80 points for promotion. We have 22 after 10 games, repeated for the rest of season would give 101 points. To get 80 points we need 58 points from the remaining 36 games, which is 1.6 points per game, less than 5 points per 3 game group. If we win all of our remaining home games we will get 76 points, so nearly enough for promotion. Our great start has put us in a position when we have a good chance of being able to rely on our home form. Keep winning at home and any away points are a bonus - particularly against rivals.
-
we are ahead of where Norwich and Swansea were after 10 games
-
guess you were wrong again, end of September we are about 16 places and about 12 points ahead of your prediction!
-
what was your prediction about now? 16th or something?
-
top scorers in the league? Guessing there are 23 teams who wish they hard our issues up front
-
but he would pay that amount, when you already have two good LBs, for a cover LB - reckon would only have signed him if he thinks he is significantly better than Harding and therefore most likely to play
-
win all home, draw all aways and we will probably win the league. hope we win, draw not disaster
-
think you are probably right.
-
reckon 5th is probably lowest we can be by end of September, what do you reckon for season now Dalek? (apologies for including delldays - he was being sarcastic only)
-
we needed MLT and should be thankful we had him. we needed Cortese and should be thankful he is here. lets all be friends!
-
games moved on. Cortese is doing a good job now, they did in the past - but its the past.
-
hope Brighton score and go to extra time - they are playing Leeds on Friday!
