Lambert played well. Confidence in team and crowd shows.
-
have Arsenal approved this extension?
-
Rickie Lambert, signed 10 August, scored for us 11 August, first of 36 goals for the season.

I think this poster has previous for false rumours

logic of a saints fan; if team are doing well they are bound to beat us, if they are doing badly they be ready to bounce back!

Nutter alert! A document on Muad Dib's website reveals he believes he is the Messiah and that George Lucas wrote Star Wars after being told telepathically what to write, by the very "Force" to which the films refer.

Alex is the club's second youngest ever first team player, having made his debut aged 16 years and 199 days when he made a late cameo against Huddersfield Town at St. Mary's in League One at the start of March 2010. He scored on his full first team debut at St. Mary's in a 2-0 win over AFC Bournemouth in the first round of the Carling Cup last year and went on to score ten times in total. However, Chamberlain missed much of the run-in from the team's run to promotion after picking up an ankle injury at Charlton that has resulted in him failing to make another appearance for the rest of the campaign. Another knock suffered in pre-season delayed his return to action as he sat out Saturday's opening day win in the Championship over Leeds United, meaning that he moves into the top flight having never played above the third tier of English football.

Alex Chamberlain has joined Premier League side Arsenal for a club record fee. Alex Chamberlain has joined Premier League side Arsenal for a club record fee, subject to Premier League and FA approval. The teenager agreed personal terms and passed a medical this afternoon in one of the biggest deals in Championship history, which sees Saints' previous transfer records blown out of the water. The deal for the midfielder - who had made it clear he saw his future away from Southampton, was done with Saints in the driving seat for the duration of the protracted negotiations and the transfer was completed on our terms. The Club had long made it clear that it didn't wish to sell Chamberlain, and would only consider doing so should an offer meet our high valuation of the youngster, who turns 18 next week.

see their crowd was 20k - is that their max in new ground?
-
they are 2nd to bottom!
-
Thinks that is about 46 places up the league that Cortese has taken us in two years!
-
guessing there aren't many teams made up of players all proven at this level, young but experienced, not suffered injuries, played together for a while, with a manager successful in this league...can't think of any!
-
7,000+ for midweek against WBA ain't too bad compared to 5000 for Real Betis on a Saturday (and many probably only went to WBA or memorial cup)
-
think this post with bits added to OP answers all very well. I am looking forward, as most are, to our season. Less pressure and apprehension than last year (and they coped pretty well with that!)
-
agree, lucky numbers and all sorts come into it. I wouldn't read anything into number - unless someone doesn't get one at all!
-
no idea reliability but not same poster - don't think
-
why? Bit in brackets I added but you can have deal with player and other club pending permit?
