indeed. Edited. I think you'll agree they were good years to be Saints fan though!

Couldn't agree more. Saw my first match in 63. Its never been brilliant throughout all of the ensuing 6 decades. Promotion 66 A couple of decent finishes 69 and 71 (UEFA Cup or equivalent) Cup 76 UEFA CWC) Promotion 78 LC Runners up 79 The eighties were probably our most consistent period but we neither won anything or tore Europe apart. Post Hysel ban probably didn't help) The nineties were pretty barren but were lit up by one player. 2003 Cardiff Back to back promotions 11/12 Best league position (Since 2nd and 4th in 83 and 84) 2016 (UEFA Cup in all) That's all folks!

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

As an educator she is over-egging the pudding. That's all I'll say. Johnson's Britain 2022. -

Be funny if it was the Minister for the 18th Century. Can't see it somehow though. Or MF, that would be fucking hilarious. -
Many had us relegated before a ball was kicked. We haven't, but people still not satisfied. We're a very poor side. Players aren't good enough but we're there for another season at least. So in a sense we've over achieved. Sure the pundits like Merse will come out say 'I fear for them' next season and the bookies will make us odds on to go down, but life goes on. Feel for all those posting on here who've seen more games than me this season and paid good money to do so. I'm assuming most of the bile on here is coming from you. On a personal note, how I started the season and how I ended it are poles apart, but what I have learned is that football, Saints, are insignificant when it comes to the really important things in life.

Doesn’t matter to me who she writes for WSS. She is an inspiration to those in the Bowel Cancer community. Her influence cannot be underestimated. I’m tempted to describe her as one brave lady, but that would be trivialising things. After all DJ, my wife and others affected by this awful disease have or had no choice about being brave or ‘fighting’.
-
When you compare the column inches devoted to these two whilst a lady who is an absolute inspiration and role model, namely Deborah James, @bowelbabe raises over £3 million as she receives palliative end of life care, it beggars belief.

Kind of started with the Bednerek quote by RH around the time of the WC play-offs.

Its probably his generation that will see us back in.

There are many whose reasons for voting leave revolved around vague notions of sovereignty, tin-pot nationalism and barely concealed racism. What you portray panders to none of those. Here is a rational argument for why you voted to leave and from what you say there are notable positives. I voted the opposite for reasons that were personal to me. Retirement within the EU was high priority at the time and so freedom of movement was important. Am I better or worse of? Hard to tell. Freedom of movement has been sorted by an Irish passport and retirement, say to Greece, is no longer relevant without my wife who I lost to cancer in December. Bottom line is, things have moved on. We've left. I am sure in the future some form of closer alignment will be sorted out, but politically and ideologically that's not possible at this moment in time. Any backsliding by the Tories plays into the hands of that idiot going up and down the Channel looking for migrant boats on a daily basis. Any notion of re-joining by Labour makes them more unelectable than they possibly are. Catch 22.

See the cunt has escaped from the cunt farm again! -
Glad I wasn't the only one

Just like some on here had us relegated before the season started?

Glenn Hoddle, 'themness' personified.

Not as bad as fucking Izal. Was like wiping your arse with tracing paper. “The Clint Eastwood of loo paper – it’s rough, it’s tough and takes no shit.”

Gambling ads especially that one where HR does a bad Alexa tribute act. Whilst we are on the the subject, the word 'acca'. Football jargon like early doors, up top, line-o, in goals (how can you be in more than one goal at any one time?) Gaffer, little fella, big man etc. Tis the language of fucking simpletons!

Missed a trick there. This was just down the road from me.

He'd have been better off sticking to C&W🤪

Suspect they might be right though.

Enjoying Derby Fulham game.

This is hilarious!

Palace making a hell of a noise at SP. Trying to remember the last time we generated something similar?
-
Same with M4 between J10 and 12. Once it was smartened up the 50 and 60 average limits hung around like a bad smell for weeks. Bloody nuisance as daughter lives in Thatcham and has been in the process of getting her stuff over toner place after her wedding using dad’s haulage. The thing’s still not finished. Weekend closures still going on around Maidenhead, Langley/Slough. after

Who gives a fuck? You're a cyclist and they're just a fucking nuisance 😜 You are right though. Rose no longer import into UK. How much longer will Canyon see UK as a viable market? Can't buy Campagnolo direct from website due to Brexit. Talking of titanium bikes one of my riding mates has just taken delivery of a Vaaru, which is absolutely beautiful and another has just taken delivery of a Cyfac titanium frame with carbon lugging. Not seen it built up yet as it only cleared customs on Monday and it is off to Belgium later today so won't see it until next week.
