  1. How Morgan or Spurs thought he was going to be bought for £10m (Krueger) beggars belief. Now they have the stupidity to give us a by Monday ultimatum when we are saying he is not for sale. They really ought to be running a pawn shop. £30m might make us blink.
  2. The Spurs offer for Schneiderlin was £10m (Krueger interview), does anybody in their right mind including Schneiderlin and his advisors think we would let him go for that. It was reported today that Spurs had given us until Monday to complete a deal or they would go elsewhere. So Southampton are saying he's not for sale and Spurs are handing out ultimatums. If they offered £30m it might open the door but acting like a pawn shop won't.
  3. For the critics, Yoshida had a pretty good game against a decent team.
  4. Steve Grant mentioned the Spurs offer was about £10m. I thought Krueger let that drop in one of his interviews last week. If Schneiderlin thinks we would let him go for less than half his value to us he is deluded. As for having to sell him, if he doesn't honour his contract we can fine him every two weeks.
  5. Not to a lot of people. Mega money lets him off the hook. TH won't offer enough in any event so that's it. I'd sooner he never played again in this mood. Bring in a replacement now and leave him to stew. Sort it in January for the right price or not at all.
  6. It's all very well acting like a spoiled prat, Lovren/Lallana spring to mind, but he has to remember Levy isn't Liverpool and money talks. If he pushes SFC into a corner he may lose his international career and waste half a season. He certainly won't be ready for Liverpool or anyone else until the window closes and he has nowhere to go.
  7. It's up to Spurs to make the offer that makes every player for sale. Unless they make it obvious to everybody that is too much to turn down Krueger has nowhere to go and neither does Schneiderlin. I personally think we should unload him and Rodriguez now for silly money if they aren't committed whatever Krueger has said.
  8. That's all very well from his point of view, bottom line is his contract and what he is worth, that is for the club to decide. It would be unrealistic that his fee would be less than Lallana's or Shaw's. Levy/Pochettino/Schneiderlin are in cloud cuckoo land if they think they can buy him on the cheap. I'm sure if TH offer top dollar we will let him go.
  9. If I remember correctly Ardiles wore 2. I thought the first time I saw him, he was right back but soon realised anywhere but.
  10. I've had SSN on for an hour and not heard anything about Saints. I've not been watching the news strips. Now saying FF for £7m if Celtic go out tonight.
  11. Semantics. Either way if he isn't in charge he should go because the buck stops at him. Fail and it's him that gets sacked.
  12. If he isn't he should ship out because he would be no manager.
  13. If it's Boruc out and Forster in with Davis No2 Koeman is certifiable. I can't believe he doesn't know what a shambles it was last year when Boruc was injured and our season fell apart until he returned.
  14. It's not a case of just getting in a centre back. Yoshida is the only one who can play left and right. Jos is only left sided. Fonte has been tried in the past on the left side and looked lost at a lower level he can only play on the right. Therefore any centre back signed must either be comfortable on either side or left sided to play alongside Fonte. If a right sided CB is brought in then Yoshida or Jos would have to partner him.
  15. I don't know what his Liverpool pay is but I suspect that is more than we paid him which would probably knock that on the head.
  16. V MU he struggled to fit in. He played with his usual movement into spaces but was largely ignored except one ball from Gerrard that he mi****. Liverpool's style with Sterling running with the ball effectively froze him out. This move, football wise may be a big mistake. Saint's style was built around him and Lallana but now they have to fit in with Liverpool. I don't think it's going to work. It will be interesting to see what happens to them including Lovren.
  17. So am I.
  18. We have lost some cracking players and that disappoints me. However we move on. My view is that once the pre world cup Liv/MU/Ars/TH attention started and the players had been tapped we had passed the point of no return. If MS and JR sort themselves out then fine, but if not, we should take the money as their playing value just won't be there without their commitment and in that case the team would be better without them. We have lost five, one that was a back up. Three of those have been replaced. How well, only time will tell. Tadic looks a cracking player, Bertrand a decent player, Pelle settling in but looks more of a presence in the box than Lambert who often dropped off. I think they will do well. The next priority replace Lovren, ideally 2 CBs, then if the two come in from Inter and we bring in another GK and a goal scorer I think we will be in good shape. I also think we may well see the best of Ramirez now Lallana has gone. Cover for Clyne would be the final piece in the jigsaw for me. If MS and JR go then we would really need to replace with top class and use their fees to do that. It would surprise me if they go, as £27m is I suspect too much for Spurs and goal scoring JR won't be any cheaper. I can see new improved contracts a la Suarez offered. I'm pretty sure that the above is the sort of reconstruction that Koeman is involved in. I'm looking forward to the final squad make up. I still think with the right blend brought in we will do alright.
  19. Far too sensible. You are obviously on the wrong site asking that question. Surely you can't resist joining the 24/7 feeding frenzy.
  20. Sombrero I believe for Mexico.
  21. I don't think they are irreplaceable. A decent centre back and overall we aren't much different. All a matter of opinion. The injured Rodriguez is a bigger loss than the others. I still think we will get over fifty points this season. Bring in five more including another good keeper and we will be in good shape as a squad.
  22. So we've lost four regulars and a reserve which means four changes to the team. Unsustainable say everybody. So what happens to Liverpool? looks like eight brought in, so it's alright it works for them. Arsenal four, god knows how many at Utd, WHU, Crystal Palace, Hull, Burnley, etc etc. What a load of hypocrites in the media. We've replaced three so far, of course the jury is still out but I bet we will be a lot stronger overall this season than last.
  23. Make all transfer fees payable up front. That would bring them down.
  24. Basis of factual events but put together total bull****. Adam Lallana went from very happy at the Everton game to ' doubling his money' at the MU game. Not from Ben Smith, from his father first hand.
  25. Thanks ssn app reporting on the game last night said it was Van Dijk. Now says Ambrose.
