It's also how to support a central striker with numbers rather than isolated as in the first two matches and the first half at Millwall. Koeman is getting his message across.
-
Replays show Pelle headed in Morgan's shot which was missing the far post. Brilliant display, Morgan shades MOM for me. Overall a brilliant team performance.

Looking at the replays Pelle headed in Morgan's shot which was missing the far post. He looks a good player in the box, something we have lacked in the past. Morgan was the best player on the field today, held everything together and got into the box. This looks like a very good Saints team.
-
It looked to me that Pelle scored 2, Morgan's shot was missing the far post and he headed it in. Either way Schneiderlin marvellous today in a top class display by the whole team.
-
Nobody was lying. It was a difference of opinion over who said what. I'm not even sure what happened was Sibley said it before the match and Koeman after.
-
Just a hunch. Barry Silkman has a German central defender coming in, hopes it will be concluded Monday, won't name club or player.
-
Philip Wollscheid? From Leverkusen.
-
Koeman said that Ramirez isn't yet match fit and needs minutes to build up so obviously not ready to start.
-
Presumably as he is training, after Monday he will play as required until then or he leaves.
-
Bremen are hard up.

Irene. Give me a straight answer. Is Artur still being paid in accordance with his contract? If he isn't, fair enough, leave. If he is and he is taking his money then he has an obligation to honour his contract and formally hand in a written transfer request. I bet there is nothing in his contract that guarantees him the place on the team. His contract runs out next summer, leave then or before by agreement but until then honour it.
-
That sounds pretty close. The club are not looking for another GK so they say, which unless Artur is staying is pretty stupid.
-
Does it matter? RK's press conference was definite.
-
I think he may have learned something there. Looked pretty determined when he said it.
-
Koeman - none of them leaving.
-
Koeman just said the decision was made and it's not going to change. He is staying. Playing on Sat. Training well. Sounds like the end of it for now. Townsend also doesn't look at all likely.
-
Reading into Koeman's answer there are ongoing negotiations but nothing done yet.
-
Gaston and Cork are staying. Koeman press conf.
-
Thanks to the referee and incompetent linesman allowing a blatant offside goal.
-
Rodriguez is going to be a while yet and will need to be carefully managed, too soon and he could have problems. For me put Long behind Pelle flanked by Tadic and Ramirez interchanging. In front of Wanyama and Schneiderlin. I think though it could be Davis or JWP instead of Ramirez although Koeman was very complimentary about Cork's effect on Tuesday.
-
Looked decent v Leverkusen. I personally want him in the side. I'm sick and tired of slow motion moves that often bring the keeper into play. At least he is positive. I'm not sure this has any substance, one source, we'd be mad to reduce the size of our squad which Koeman says needs more players. Loaning doesn't make sense.
-
With all the spurious rumours we have been subjected to this summer this could be another one.
-
I can understand your criticisms but if the manager restricts appearances although fit because he doesn't want to use him, that can hardly reflect on his willingness to play. He has a talent that we should be able to use and I hope Koeman uses it and Ramirez delivers. When I watched our back four and four midfielders labour on Saturday I'd take Ramirez every time. Every team needs a violinist, too many artisans don't work either.
-
If Ramirez is going it's strange he was at Millwall. On the other hand Boruc might be the international loan.
-
This could be the test whether Davis and JWP can provide the high tempo, quick ball and forward runs that were absent on Saturday. If it's still slow at half time I wouldn't be surprised to see Taider and Ramirez on.
