If Long comes I can see us playing 4-2-3-1 with Wanyama and Taidir in front of the back four and Ramirez, Long and Tadic behind Pelle. That is if Schneiderlin is still suffering from Cranium Posterium or Cranium Localum, take your pick.
-
Very careful, no turning. Looks like still a long way to go.
-
The difference is wages Man C over £200m, Saints £52m says it all.

This has been confirmed. It happened in January. He was never going to stay once Cortese left.
-
This problem was started when Cortese left and his mate decided to go too. The favourites made a pact, now all but him have gone. It looks certain that all were tapped up. We really had to offload them. This crisis with Schneiderlin is being pushed from outside, to get the player on the cheap. A £10m bid is ridiculous. He is not for sale unless a huge bid is made. Spurs won't do that. As far as I'm concerned he'd be better advised to play and entice a huge bid, otherwise he won't be sold, not be paid and disappear from international football.

Looking for his head apparently,

I have heard that Pochettino was going in Jan and let his favourites know it was time to move on. They made a pact that whoever went first the others would be fine about it. In the event all except MS and possibly JR have gone (not sure he was one). No wonder MS was blocked. It sounds that that the offers were all set up before the end of the season. What a corrupt league it is.

Sporting Lisbon saying now that they are keeping him, not for sale. Understandable receiving only 25% of any payments.
-
On SSN - we've walked away from Byram and Rojo. Moved on to other targets.

How Morgan or Spurs thought he was going to be bought for £10m (Krueger) beggars belief. Now they have the stupidity to give us a by Monday ultimatum when we are saying he is not for sale. They really ought to be running a pawn shop. £30m might make us blink.
-
The Spurs offer for Schneiderlin was £10m (Krueger interview), does anybody in their right mind including Schneiderlin and his advisors think we would let him go for that. It was reported today that Spurs had given us until Monday to complete a deal or they would go elsewhere. So Southampton are saying he's not for sale and Spurs are handing out ultimatums. If they offered £30m it might open the door but acting like a pawn shop won't.
-
For the critics, Yoshida had a pretty good game against a decent team.
-
Steve Grant mentioned the Spurs offer was about £10m. I thought Krueger let that drop in one of his interviews last week. If Schneiderlin thinks we would let him go for less than half his value to us he is deluded. As for having to sell him, if he doesn't honour his contract we can fine him every two weeks.
-
It's all very well acting like a spoiled prat, Lovren/Lallana spring to mind, but he has to remember Levy isn't Liverpool and money talks. If he pushes SFC into a corner he may lose his international career and waste half a season. He certainly won't be ready for Liverpool or anyone else until the window closes and he has nowhere to go.
-
It's up to Spurs to make the offer that makes every player for sale. Unless they make it obvious to everybody that is too much to turn down Krueger has nowhere to go and neither does Schneiderlin. I personally think we should unload him and Rodriguez now for silly money if they aren't committed whatever Krueger has said.
-
That's all very well from his point of view, bottom line is his contract and what he is worth, that is for the club to decide. It would be unrealistic that his fee would be less than Lallana's or Shaw's. Levy/Pochettino/Schneiderlin are in cloud cuckoo land if they think they can buy him on the cheap. I'm sure if TH offer top dollar we will let him go.
-
If I remember correctly Ardiles wore 2. I thought the first time I saw him, he was right back but soon realised anywhere but.
-
I've had SSN on for an hour and not heard anything about Saints. I've not been watching the news strips. Now saying FF for £7m if Celtic go out tonight.
-
Semantics. Either way if he isn't in charge he should go because the buck stops at him. Fail and it's him that gets sacked.
-
If he isn't he should ship out because he would be no manager.
-
If it's Boruc out and Forster in with Davis No2 Koeman is certifiable. I can't believe he doesn't know what a shambles it was last year when Boruc was injured and our season fell apart until he returned.
-
It's not a case of just getting in a centre back. Yoshida is the only one who can play left and right. Jos is only left sided. Fonte has been tried in the past on the left side and looked lost at a lower level he can only play on the right. Therefore any centre back signed must either be comfortable on either side or left sided to play alongside Fonte. If a right sided CB is brought in then Yoshida or Jos would have to partner him.
-
I don't know what his Liverpool pay is but I suspect that is more than we paid him which would probably knock that on the head.
-
V MU he struggled to fit in. He played with his usual movement into spaces but was largely ignored except one ball from Gerrard that he mi****. Liverpool's style with Sterling running with the ball effectively froze him out. This move, football wise may be a big mistake. Saint's style was built around him and Lallana but now they have to fit in with Liverpool. I don't think it's going to work. It will be interesting to see what happens to them including Lovren.
