  1. It appears to me that the difference between Brighton and Saints is that we have virtually the same team as last year, Hoiveldt was necessary to replace Jaidi and Seaborne and fitted in, Fox was made to wait for his chance and bedded in well, Cork fitted in immediately. The rotation of players with the odd injury plus the outstanding form of Chaplow has given us a team that is better than the sum of the parts. On the other hand Brighton made a number of signings and it looks as though the tight bond they had last year has suffered so the team is not better than the sum of it's parts which is essential to do really well.
  2. Advise the management of services that large internet sites are advising their members to visit service areas only once in a day due to the rip off. That should get their attention.
  3. I think we have a fortnight off after Saturday, so unless there is a physically or psychologically pressing reason for resting someone not much in the way of change. I'd be surprised if Ferguson comes down here for a slugfest more like high tempo, press hard a la Reading and hit on the break. If he just comes and plays he is risking a hammering.
  4. Lambert is one of the most accomplished and intelligent footballers around. Could never say the same about Heskey the non goalscoring striker.
  5. How is Fonte?
  6. Looks like Guly is up front today (thevman)
  7. Go to the ticket office, take ID they may help out.
  8. Thanks.
  9. Adam fit yet?
  10. Let the team that gets promoted play with the usual strategic strengthening, harness the Wimbledon type spirit, if we stay up strengthen again only using grateful talented players (Norwich/Pilkington), If we go down we have the basis for promotion again and use the parachute payments to strengthen again. Don't ever pay silly money to a host of foreign mercenaries. Live within our means and develop our own talent.
  11. Noisy monologues and interruptions are their modus operandi. They didn't like being told to shut up and not interrupt, they'd had their say. (including 50 mins speech from Chorley). Busted and history sums them up.
  12. I think he sits/stands at the back of block 4. I went to a meeting of interested parties during the administration, I couldn't believe the ranting nonsense from the four SISA idiots. All noise, no sense.
  13. It needs UKIP to target all the MPs regardless of party who voted against, it would concentrate a lot of minds. In the end it will make no difference the European dream will collapse anyway, these political alliances always do.
  14. With better players like Lambert/Connolly he might get the situations that get him past the defence then he could be dangerous. Maybe it will never happen and he will go somewhere else.
  15. John Denham was elected thanks to the 2000+ UKIP votes. My MP voted for a referendum otherwise I would vote UKIP.
  16. Like the Soviet Union and other multi national states like the British Empire/Austro Hungarian Empire before it, the EU will collapse/implode sooner rather than later if not in my lifetime, worse luck.
  17. I thought his touch and football brain was suspect but his pace is an asset. Judging him out of position in a weak team is probably a little unfair. Wide in the best team he might have a better chance to justify himself. Adkins must have some confidence in him to give him a three year contract. I do think the reduction to 5 substitutes penalises the fringe players by reducing their chances of appearances as only vital subs are selected.
  18. Does a lot of good things, a few brilliant things but the thing which lets him down is the showboating casual pass that gives the ball away dropping the team in it, he needs to cut that out.
  19. Fonte had a tight hamstring.

    Graham Murty

Murty is doing his A licence, Saints are letting him observe coaching and assisting coaching youngsters. He wants to play again, to see if his ankle could stand up to a game he was given 20 mins in the friendly. He has been doing his rehab at Staplewood with the Saints medical staff. He did after all get injured for us. His discussions on Sky were sensible and balanced.
  21. He is another slippery, lying, two faced politician. He promised a lot to get elected and couldn't wait to renege on most of it. He may well be classed as the third worst PM since WW2. I'll never vote Conservative again while he is in charge. Another vote for UKIP. Maybe if we all voted UKIP next time we could destroy a whole generation of useless political ambition from all three parties.
  22. Looking at it from that angle if we lose to WH away we are 11% less likely to be promoted.
  23. We allowed McCartney to cause us problems with his delivery, he has a good left foot, he was WHU's most accurate. We gave him too much time on the ball, he needed to be pressurised more.
  24. Only one football team WHU were wimbledon etc rolled into one. They could do with Johnny wilkinson and ronan O'Hara to improve the garryowe style
  25. It is the FA Premier League and the League itself is saying that the FA will veto it.
