Still quite concerned despite the win. There was an alarming lack of creativity right from kickoff, and even now as I am writing this I'm not sure how we won. Davis: 6- did what he had to do Harding: 6- solid performance Seabourne: 4- looked very shaky through the whole first half, terrible distribution. I would prefer Jaidi. Fonte: 7- didn't do anything wrong, mopped up some sticky situations. Richardson: 5- rusty, but will get better. Puncheon: 6- By no means worse than anyone else, put himself about. Schneiderlin: 4- Didn't get near the ball all game, completely out of sorts. Hammond: 7- most creativity came through him, attempted to keep the ball on the deck when everyone else played hoofball Lallana: 8- always a threat, class above most Lambert: 5- although had a goal and assist to his name, seemed very slugish/ half hearted. Barnard: 6- didnt see much of the ball, despite his efforts.

The fact that there are 688 pages on this thread shows clearly that a lot of Saints would just implode without the existence of Pompey. Where would the banter, the rivalry and memorable derby's come from if they were liquidated?

Really tough, very hard to drop Schneiderlin because he is one of our only players who has looked consistently bothered during the bad times.

I feel Morgan is probably our best player at the moment on balance. If we didn't have him in the midfield, I think we would look a lot worse than we already are.

tbf i have heard he is extremely arrogant and looks down on a lot of people. Didnt he give it large to our fans in the jpt as well? Not wishing him injury, but I dislike him, and i'm surprised others dont as well.

An awful, woeful, clueless performance with zero leadership both on the pitch and on the bench. No attacking flare, just hopeless hoofball for 90 minutes. Swindon werent really much better, just typically got that bit of luck. A special mention to 3 players though, Schneiderlin, OXC and Martin. Schneiderlin looked like the only player who cared and put himself about, OXC (although very raw) has clearly got huge potential, and Martin looked assured and comfortable. I just wish I could say such positives about the rest of the team... I mean whats wrong with Lambert???

Is Adkins the right man? A lot of pressure on his shoulders, nothing like his experience at Scunny. Also, I think it was Pardews name that attracted a lot of our better players in the first place- will they walk? Hope i'm wrong.
