  1. Why do you think he's fourth choice?
  2. I don't know whether this was ever posted on here. It's part of a review of refereeing decisions last season carried out by an Arsenal website. It looks at refereeing of Saints matches. It acknowledges that it's used a relatively small sample. It concludes: "Looking at those numbers I think it is more or less a miracle that they managed to keep themselves in the PL. They sure didn’t get much from the refs to stay in the PL." http://blog.emiratesstadium.info/archives/30374
  3. The Manager has a year left on his contract. The Manager has said he is happy to review his position (i.e. discuss extending his contract) in the summer. The Board has said that no player will be sold that MP wants to keep. Yet you say the Manager and the better players will leave. You say you are being realistic. I say what you are saying is pure speculation.
  4. Well he was a banker.

  6. We'd like to think so but refs make witless decisions and players cheat so Fonte shouldn't have stuck out his leg. He was never going to win the ball that way and he invited the dive and the ref was sucked in. It would be indefensible for any defender, let alone a good experienced pro like Fonte, and it was just plain dopey.

Owen's a block of wood and Macmanaman's got the kind of face you'd like to punch, even before he opens his big gob.
  8. The Fonte penalty. I like Fonte. He's good enough for the PL (not saying we shouldn't get an upgrade) but what he did was rank stupidity. Refs make mistakes, that's a given, and often give soft penalties which this clearly was. Why give the ref the opportunity.
  9. The offside decision was so bad do you think that the ref and linesman didn't see the full passage of play? The linesman unsited for the flick on and the ref with his back to Silva.
  10. I take it at face value. No reason to do otherwise.
  11. Ok thanks. Even worse then. More cost to add to the £30m. And I still can't see where £15m of spec changes come from. Gold taps perhaps.
  12. £15m worth of alterations since it was granted consent last October or thereabouts? That's just not credible.
  13. £30m on training ground improvements is a vast sum. The ground's existing and future use value is restricted by planning consent. I'd really like to know how the projected costs have doubled and whether someone thought this was a good investment.
  14. I'd be interested to know how and why the training ground costs have doubled.
  15. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/29/southampton-newcastle-united-premier-league-match-report? "England owe Southampton".
  16. He deserves to go to Brazil and I'll be more pleased for him than for any of the other three that could go because of what he represents. He had a great game today though I must say Newcastle gave him time on the ball which is the last thing you should do with Lambert.
  17. He has a weaker foot?
  18. He gives me a headache.
  19. Ralph sounds like Nigel who sounds like anyone who ever read a book on leadership. “His appointment is another important step forward for our leadership team as we continue to grow this great Club.”
  20. Defensive errors cost us the match.
  21. £12 return from Euston.
  22. The ref's knob fell off at the precise moment the incident occurred. It's the only plausible explanation.
  23. And a few quid extra for Plod. Or they might ruin it by banning away fans or impose the Bubble.
  24. Hamilton Hall, the Wetherspoons on the street level concourse of Liverpool St will be open early. Other pubs may be midday opening.
