  1. Decent game here, even without my Saints specs on.
  2. Still doing ok here... Come on...
  3. I don't reckon he'll be back up to speed after his injury yet.
  4. Aye, been all us with their keeper being forced into decent saves more than once since that though.
  5. Feels like we've been the better team overall this half apart from that Boruc mistake.
  6. We're still in this!
  7. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?47817-Arsenal-v-Saints-Match-Thread#.UpDHhnggG0c
  8. Our goals will reduce Arsenal's goal difference.
  9. That was the whole team changed, difficult to judge on that.
  10. We haven't seen Hooiveld yet this season. He may well have improved a lot since last season, going by how much other players have improved. (Fonte the obvious example)
  11. Think it's more reacting to the ones that have already given up.
  12. We got good results under Tino towards the end of last season without Lovren.
  13. Makes it more difficult, but our pressing game means we defend as a team now. Waynyama will take some pressure off the defence. Still not counting us out of this one.
  14. Ah that's not good.
  15. I've got a gut feeling this will be behind closed doors.
  16. So, possibly, Eccleston is pushed out to 10, Tennant to 11, Smith to 12… All of a sudden I'm noticing the slight passing resemblance between the Valeyard and Capaldi, and wondering if that grand unveiling of the next Doctor was misdirection.
  17. Predictable. Other papers have been far fairer though. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/10453486/England-v-Chile-Adam-Lallana-flies-flag-high-for-Southampton.html http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2013/nov/15/adam-lallana-england-jay-rodriguez-chile
  18. Reckon the best thing about that is that it's still Friday.
  19. Seems to have got away with it? Might have dodged a bullet there.
  20. JWP really does have an awesome delivery.
  21. This falls on the other side of the line in the debate over technology for me. Whether a ball is over the line or not is a simple matter of physics, a person's opinion doesn't come into it, I've got no issue with that being subject to technology and replays. Some fouls can be obvious, but there are always those that are borderline that will be down to the ref's interpretation of the rules, and whether you agree with the decision or not, I don't believe it should be changed by anyone else. Maybe if there was some way to allow the referee himself to quickly review his own decision… possibly I'd go along with that.
  22. Couple of interesting articles on the Premier League site. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/features/premier-league-hosts-leadership-journey-event/ http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2013-14/nov/les-reed-on-southampton-new-breed-of-academy-players.html
  23. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11662/9024080/premier-league-sky-sports-looks-at-the-tightest-title-race-in-over-a-decade Also... http://www.givemesport.com/400801-liverpool-deserve-tremendous-credit-for-their-season-so-far "Liverpool's only two losses this season have come against two of the other top four teams in the league, Southampton and Arsenal. The Southampton defeat may have seemed like a huge disappointment at the time, but based on how the season has transpired, Liverpool can be proud to have played so well against arguably the most in-form team in the Premier League." That's talking about Liverpool. At Anfield. Against us. Reckon the media is starting to get even more carried away than we are!
  24. There always used to be high hopes for Ryan Seager. I haven't heard much about him recently, but apparently he did sign a new deal earlier this year.
