Ford closing Southampton Transit plant with the loss of 500 jobs
Jimmy_D replied to saintbletch's topic in The Lounge
Looks like it's been confirmed. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10006351.Ford_announce_closure_of_Transit_factory/ (Also, the proof reader for that article (or even a spellchecker!) has done a terrible job...) -

IF Adkins does go, Benitez for me.
-
I think we might be seeing here just how much we overachieved last season. That said, we're still outside the relegation zone, for now, and it looks like this could be a record low season for achieving safety. I like Adkins, and I think we should keep hold of him, but pressure is inevitably going to build now, and that will have its own effect on the team. Might be we need to change manager just to drag us out of the spiral of pressure and low confidence, but not just yet. Learn what we can from this, draw a line, and on to the next game.

Not sure there's too many to come out of that with credit. Lallana, or Rodriguez maybe?

He was diagnosed with concussion after the game. I really don't think you can accuse someone of 'dramatics' when they've been blindsided and given concussion by a rival fan attacking them on the pitch.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/energy/fuel/9619269/British-engineers-produce-amazing-petrol-from-air-technology.html Essentially, they've created a (pretty inefficient) way of storing energy from renewable sources in a form our current energy infrastructure uses. If they can scale it up, and improve the efficiency, could be a real game changer.

Perhaps they could get Pompey to play a few friendlies there...
-
Now all they have to do is get Chanrai to accept a huge cut in what he's owed, get the former players to accept a huge cut in what they're owed (or rather, what they've already accepted as a reduced compromise), get the supporters to pay up what they've pledged, find the money to pay ongoing wage costs, and they're home free. What could possibly go wrong?

'Before' he embarrasses himself?

(Their best player did leave on a free and join Saints)
-
Rangers are obviously a prime candidate for a league of the best European teams, they're a huge draw... I mean, it's not like their best player would ever leave them on a free and join a 'small' club like Saints right? Oh.

I'll take the point with those injuries. Hopefully we'll be back to full strength next game, and play like we did the 2nd half against Villa.

Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales
Jimmy_D replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_benefits_of_debt This is what I what I was suggesting. I don't have details of our own exact situation, so it might well not apply, but it's a recognised strategy. -
Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales

If it's a loan intended to be paid before the end of this season, but secured against income from next, could well be for tax reasons. -
Oh good. This year had been lacking in good sport to watch until now... What an utterly incredible cap to the greatest summer of sport we'll ever see.

Playing with Redditch, under Dafuge's Challenge rules. Today, won the Champion's League to cap off a quadruple winning season and finish the challenge, a new 65k stadium with a retractable roof is being built in my name, and I'm ready for FM13.

In a nutshell, Pompey Fans are annoyed that they might be lenient enough to let Chanrai take over, and are also annoyed that they might be too tough for the PST to take over.
-
Well I'm not shifting it! This thing is HEAVY now...

I'm guessing that's the tweet in question. There's nothing ITK there I don't think, just an assumption of what he expects us to do.
