  1. We've seen denial from him, anger, and now this looks like bargaining, pleading almost. I wonder what the points target is to avoid relegation in a 23 team Championship...
  2. Retired eh? That's a shame, would have been nice to hear he was still playing somewhere.
  3. Indeed. A CVA saying they only have to pay 4p in the £ a year is useless if they can't afford even that, and to afford it, they need about another £14M from this transfer window, £8M in January, crowds of about 13k-14k, and to avoid relegation so that they don't get reduced parachute payments.
  4. I was wondering where he'd ended up... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmnSR0LwiS8
  5. Ooh, ouch, they won't be happy with that...
  6. This actually helps Pompey, they were due to pay out another months wages if he hadn't found another team before it was due. Fair play to him though, he's obviously looking for first team football instead of just taking the highest wages.

  8. Over four hours without a reply? And so close to the 600 page landmark as well... Back on topic, I see it's what, 3 or 4 days now, since they should have heard about the appeal according to their administrator? Oh, don't tell me he was wrong again? Never...
  9. On a side, but related, note, my paypal account shows my subscription as having been paid, but I'm only a registered user again...

  11. Heh, people were predicting a series of training ground injuries for them... no doubt some of them have been exaggerated to try and allow them to bring more players in...
  12. If true, although funny, it might do more harm than good for HMRC's chances...
  13. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/newshome/Pompey-hope-for-early-court.6428362.jp? Looks like the meeting that was scheduled with their Pinnacle type group yesterday never happened... well that's a huge surprise. Their ITKs wil be taking some flak I expect...
  14. Probably I've just missed it... but I don't remember seeing it reported anywhere besides AA's words (or him being quoted) that HMRC's debt was increased due to tax owed on image rights. HMRC in their statement said they didn't see any reason why their voting rights had been reduced, which would suggest that it's not due to image rights tax, but due to what they already owed plus fines for non-payment and having no intention to pay, image rights isn't actually owed (yet).
  15. The enemy of my enemy is my enemy's enemy. No more. No less.
  16. More like yet more watching and waiting as we wait for the appeal date, while Pompey's squad gets thinner and thinner.
  17. And the appeal is in... SSN
  18. yeah, but it only needs one creditor owed at least £750 (and the HMRC is one of them) to issue a winding up petition...
  19. That's assuming you don't get relegated.
  20. Your trouble is, if you don't get the CVA agreed, yes you can say you're just going to pay 5p in the £, but you're also left vulnerable to a winding up order on the 95p you're not paying...
  21. Seem to remember AA's CVA doesn't cater for relegation either... they're in huge trouble regardless if HMRC appeal because they won't be able to compete in the Championship. It's doubtful that they can afford that CVA as it is, even at such a low rate, and relegation would all but comfirm they can't keep up repayments. They miss one payment and the HMRC will just put in a winding up petition straight away again. Also what's good for us is bad for them... with Leeds, Norwich and Millwall getting promoted, the NPC is a more difficult league this year.
  22. Good call from the club on this IMHO.
  23. As I understand it, if they don't come out with a CVA the club gets liquidated.
  24. Probably, it's mostly down to fast cars being out of position, but this is a cracking race, really really enjoying it.
  25. OMG it's obviously photoshopped!
