  1. Was thinking that, but they'll probably put Everton v Arsenal on first anyway.
  2. Romeu definitely has a career as a Bond villain there if he wants it too.
  3. Time to start improving our goal difference? Villa look like they're there for the taking now.
  4. I thought we were bad at defending crosses, but Villa really are something else...
  5. Not yet! http://www.sportsclubstats.com/England/Southampton.html
  6. Feels like a third goal would absolutely demolish any confidence Villa have left.
  7. Feels like we should go on and win this more often than not. Villa are just as low on confidence as we are... if ever we needed a match to actually carry on and go to form...
  8. Have to admit, I'm sat here thinking that we're still only 2-0 up lol
  9. For this one game in isolation, madness, sure. But for a player that we’re absolutely reliant on for goals, with three games in a week and already having felt a twinge that he was taken off for in the game on Wednesday, I can understand him being cautious in trying to avoid losing him for longer, especially with his injury history.
  10. Well, annoying, but at least we’re actually competing in these games now. We were in 14th at one point today. Keep playing like this and we’ll pick up points and quickly climb the table.
  11. Hasenhuttl deserves praise for the tactics tonight. Long starting really helped with the high press, and that's probably the main reason we made Norwich look so poor. They couldn't string any passes together at all, I lost count of the times Krul was forced to lump it away and gave up possession, and their only threat they could muster was through fairly ineffective long balls. It was only when they started to manage to keep possession as we tired towards the end of the game that they managed to get a toehold. Fortunately we'd already done enough to squeeze out the win.
  12. Norwich easily the worst team that’s played at St Mary’s this season. Could/should have been way more comfortable. We’re one point off 12th! Not bad for a team that would probably have been dead and buried without the last two results.
  13. Yeah, even a draw would have been a bad result today. At half time even that was looking unlikely.
  14. You do realise that the “informal derogatory” part means that picture doesn’t help your case in the slightest, right?
  15. Ha! Handball? Against Watford that’s just karma.
  16. Well whaddya know, we’re not dead yet
  17. Guh. Well played Saints, unlucky lads.
  18. Played better than recently and came up with a decent result, especially considering our usual record after an International break. Game was a bit scrappy and could have gone either way, draw probably a fair result.
  19. You've watched Saints before this season then! It's not a coincidence that Saints have benefited more than any other team from VAR.
  20. Watch the highlights again? With Radio Solent commentary this time? Go on then.
  21. Gerrin! Their tactics were the only way they had any chance of getting anything, give it everything and hope to get a lead that they could try and hold on to with adrenaline and luck, but as soon as that failed, our superior class showed and there was only going to be one result. Ings will get the plaudits and rightly so, but Bednarek deserves a mention for stopping several very dangerous attacks in that initial surge Pompey tried.
  22. Sent off for two yellows the game before the derby? Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s **** himself and has taken himself out of it. Despite the setback against Bournemouth, we’re still doing pretty well this season in the Premier League. They’re struggling in League One. I’m fully expecting us to absolutely embarrass them.
  23. Haha, correct When was the last time we won the game immediately following an international break, before today?
  24. When was the last time we won after an international break?
