Lol Phil i'm having a bad start to the day!.....my only excuse is generally FF is on the money. I'm going back under the sheets now to hide my embarassment. :smt100

Yes of course you are right, my bad. Sounds like he was in a conventional hospital under guard rather than a prison hospital so I guess it free's up the costs of guarding him if nothing else.
-
Which is nice. Shows the Club is acting professionally. Also a blessing to see the end of 'I have been told', 'my contact informs me', 'I have it on very good authority' twaddle! Facts, we want facts....oh OK a little bit of gossip as well!

Pro's and con's to both sides of the argument. For me, from a justice perspective, he should stay in jail. If you're prepared to do the crime then be prepared to do the time. I don't buy the reason that he is no longer a threat to society, that's got nothing to do with it, he is in prison for a crime and one where someone ultimately lost their life. Whether the death of the guard can be directly attributed to the robbery is up for debate and there appears to be no direct link to Biggs but nonetheless his gang was involved then by association he is guilty. He's not long for this earth anyway so it really is neither here nor there but it would seem to be setting a precedent for all terminally ill prisoners?

..that's more worrying than the -10

Lol looks like Nugent is the next one away with more to follow... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5476449,00.html ...it just gets better and better

Seems it is true...bless him. Apparantley Nugent tried to hit him back but missed.....boom tish http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5474160,00.html

Has John got a monkey?

It will be interesting to see the attendance statistics at the end of the season....not just pre-season ticket sales. I'd be a little surprised to say the least if Norwich out do Newcastle. I think they are also suffering with the 'Chairman Syndrome' up there with a certain Mr Ashley who appears to be making a grand job of destroying the club. Anyway, back to the cannon fodder down the road...
-
Whatever you say about Newcastle you cannot deride their supporters who turn up in huge numbers week in week out to see a load of poo. Norwich put them to shame? Back to Portsmouth.......what a lovely moment in time this is for us to enjoy..
-
Why does it make him sound like a budgie? Seems to be a fair reflection on the course of events, not unlike that suffered by Rasiak et al. As a Club we showed them little loyalty yet we expect them to show it in return?
-
Very likely he'll be off I would imagine if he wants to keep his World Cup place, won't want to be playing in a relegation side and conceding goals left right and centre. Oh let the fun begin.

I hope the words won't be too long, I have trouble keeping up as it is.

The good news keeps on coming as Hart confirms doubts about Belhadj future http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5457702,00.html ...still on the upside look at the quality of the trialists they have (not new news I know but still enjoyable)

Most certainly was lol..........

I phoned that new help line yesterday. It was an awful line I could hardly hear a thing, just crackling.

And we think we're struggling for a squad. Their's has been decimated this summer, how many turned up for pre-season training, something like 16?, they're just about to lose Crouch, Distin is being touted as going to Villa and with Campbell likely to move elsewhere they really are down to the bare bones. Unless they get themselves sorted very quickly, both on and off the field, they could start the season as one of the favourites to go down. Oh what joy.

I'm sure you're dead right Wes, again I'll refer back to my original comment which related to a prior one from AP which seem to raise a question over Murty although it could be read / interpreted 100 different ways and was just my take on it. When some players get to the ends of their careers they don't have the hunger they may have had in an earlier period and some are ultimate professionals to the very end.....Let's hope Murty still 'wants it' as he could be very influential for us this year.
-
Perhaps you might read my post again in the context of the previous quote it was related to. I think Murty could potentially be a very good signing for us and if in doubt this was demonstrated on Saturday. He needs time to shed a few pounds but as long as he is 'professional' I have no doubt he'll do this and maybe that's what AP is waiting to see him achieve.

How damaging do you think the Pinnacle fiasco will be..?

Found the link I was referring to... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4495663.Saints__new_owner_wants_big_turn_out_on_Saturday/ and the relevant comment... “It will be my first visit since late May when I first became convinced to make my investment in this great club. I can see that I read 'late May' as 'last May'.......my apols :smt100 -

In all fairness to RM that date came from me, I may be completely wrong (I pointed this out in the post I made the comment), I can't even recall where I read the article although it was a quote attributed to ML himself. I thought it was 2008 but you could well be right. I'll rack my brains to see if I can find the article in question. Still begs the question as to why he didn't beat Pinnacle to the period of exclusivity? -

And not forgetting they managed to bluff their way past Fry and a team of experts at BT that they had proof of sufficient funding in place. Back to the original post then has it damaged us? Well, it's held us back in terms of time available to prepare for the coming season but we also seem to have been left with a decent owner with a long term interest who is putting a solid team of people together. I for one feel a lot more optimistic about the future than I have for two or three years. -
Surprise surprise...Maradona Rubbishes Pompey link.... http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5454496,00.html

Oh please god no, not another one. Perhaps you and derry can swap stories about the virues of 4-4-2 on another forum....I have a 5 metre swiming badge, does that count? Everyone wants instance success and you and I are no different. The last 4 years or so have been enough to test anyones patience but it's only fair we give AP a chance. I'm also a little worried that he doesn't have his support staff in place and nor do we have the team / squad as yet but let's see how things stand in 14 days time. I'm sure there will be a lot of activity in the coming few days.
