Maybe the training bids indicate the traditional position number and Barnard and Lambert being 9 and 10 will start upfront together tomorrow. Although, not sure if they practice as the following days team in training especially not when cameras present!!
-
In there defence, they play a physical direct attacking style and scored (what looked like in the stadium) two very good goals, where a weighted pass split our defence twice and the forward placed the ball in the net. I don't care too much for the time wasting or cheating but they were the better team for most of the game, although on another day we would've had a bit of luck with our shots on target. I think the turnstile issue was more with the user rather than the actual turnstile!! And the Chicken Balti Pies were fantastic :-)

Ian Roberts an Aussie Rugby League player was gay, beat up, I think, a teammate for gay jibes

Thank god for that I thought I was imagining it!!

I thought we looked a lot better in the first than the second and for most of the second half I didn't think we looked like scoring. Our midfield looked really fatigued and they defended really well albeit a touch industrial!!! Saying that they seemed to lack the killer finish up front!! Also, I'm sure if I was seeing things but did Hammond take a massive kick at one of there midfielders after getting fouled (ref waved play on!!)

100% agree with that, it seemed to me that we robbed them at the death (not that I'm bothered!!) Thought that we looked weak in midfield and they took advantage of that in parts BUT we showed excellent spirit to equalise and took some quality pens. Great last save by Bart

Not sure if I am being tricked but looks a good recovery save by the keeper!!

Saints 3-0 Tranmere Rovers: Post Match Reaction
Ekelund24 replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
Overall it was a very poor game today, but home games will be like that as other teams will come here to spoil the game. Great football leading to the Harding goal, with Lallana and Connelly combining before a lovely pass to Harding. Great Pen by Lambert followed by a top draw free kick (which I didn't think would go in!!!) Thought Wotton played really well when he came on, retained possesion and kept the game simple! Think away games suits us more as we play an open attacking game without a game changing playmaker. -
I was hoping for an actual tiger as well!!!!

No Magilton missed one I think!!!!

I saw Dave Merrington in Asda last week!! Wasn't sure if it was him until he spoke, then I knew!!! Also, saw Steve Baker at the Orient game!!!
-
Technically his record is played 1 (3 sub) scored 4 which means he scores every 22.5 mins at best, at worst 1 every 90 mins!! Looked good tonight, as did Antonio. I thought on the t'internet we looked good in the first half, quality in the second

You have to be a real thick **** to have to look up that meaning don't you??
-
Ottmar Hitzfeld and Paul Tisdale!!!!
-
Think it may also have something to do with Ferdinand and Vidic as well!!
-
Think Bridges is going to Norwich. Campbell-Ryce would be an excellent choice

No worse than sponsoring the league I would imagine (Coca Cola Championship etc), or allowing a team to move 50 miles from its roots and adopting an American style name (MK Dons) Red Bull Southampton sounds good and the name is just semantics like the Friends Provident St Marys Stadium, which was always St Marys to the fans, the team will always be Southampton FC (but with a new a badge, sponsor and no stripes I would imagine - still Red and White though)

Opening Game off the Season Sweepstake

As long as Hartlepool home or away is not in August I'm not worried!!! -
Ingredients: Makes one 20 cm / 8 in roll 3 eggs 75g/3 oz caster (superfine) sugar 75g/3 oz self-raising (self-rising) flour Caster (superfine) sugar for dusting 75 ml/5 tbsp raspberry jam (conserve) Method: Whisk together the eggs and sugar for about 10 minutes until very pale and thick and the mixture trails off the whisk in ribbons. Fold in the flour and spoon into a greased and lined 30 x 20 cm/12 x 8 in Swiss roll tin (jelly roll pan). Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C/400°F/gas mark 4 for 10 minutes until well risen and firm to the touch. Sprinkle a clean tea towel (dish cloth) with caster sugar and invert the cake on to the towel. Remove the lining paper, trim the edges and run a knife about 2.5 cm/1 in in from the short edge, cutting half-way through the cake. Roll up the cake from the cut edge. Leave to cool. Unwrap the cake and spread with jam, then roll up again and serve sprinkled with icing sugar

They better learn how to play underwater

We were winning 1-0 at half time and it wasn't on TV

Banned James Beattie from driving for life and made him do community service everyday. As soon as he was back in the Lambo the ego was back and no muffin was safe!
-
He retains possession when the ball is played upfront and always finds one of our players with his lay off, which is something we have been lacking with McGoldrick upfront (who looks a much better player behind the front two) on his own.

players not as fit as bournemouth players?
Ekelund24 replied to lordswoodsaints's topic in The Saints
I would imagine it wasn't endurance running but multiple short sprints with little rest, which is perfect training for football. Look at Beattie as an example in Strachan's Reign he must've scored around 50 goals in 100 games as well as having an amazing workrate closing defenders down and pressuring the ball. All this was enabled due to the high fitness levels Strachan created in the players. -
