  1. I saw Dave Merrington in Asda last week!! Wasn't sure if it was him until he spoke, then I knew!!! Also, saw Steve Baker at the Orient game!!!
  2. Technically his record is played 1 (3 sub) scored 4 which means he scores every 22.5 mins at best, at worst 1 every 90 mins!! Looked good tonight, as did Antonio. I thought on the t'internet we looked good in the first half, quality in the second
  3. You have to be a real thick **** to have to look up that meaning don't you??
  4. Ottmar Hitzfeld and Paul Tisdale!!!!
  5. Think it may also have something to do with Ferdinand and Vidic as well!!
  6. Think Bridges is going to Norwich. Campbell-Ryce would be an excellent choice
  7. No worse than sponsoring the league I would imagine (Coca Cola Championship etc), or allowing a team to move 50 miles from its roots and adopting an American style name (MK Dons) Red Bull Southampton sounds good and the name is just semantics like the Friends Provident St Marys Stadium, which was always St Marys to the fans, the team will always be Southampton FC (but with a new a badge, sponsor and no stripes I would imagine - still Red and White though)
  8. As long as Hartlepool home or away is not in August I'm not worried!!!
  9. Ingredients: Makes one 20 cm / 8 in roll 3 eggs 75g/3 oz caster (superfine) sugar 75g/3 oz self-raising (self-rising) flour Caster (superfine) sugar for dusting 75 ml/5 tbsp raspberry jam (conserve) Method: Whisk together the eggs and sugar for about 10 minutes until very pale and thick and the mixture trails off the whisk in ribbons. Fold in the flour and spoon into a greased and lined 30 x 20 cm/12 x 8 in Swiss roll tin (jelly roll pan). Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C/400°F/gas mark 4 for 10 minutes until well risen and firm to the touch. Sprinkle a clean tea towel (dish cloth) with caster sugar and invert the cake on to the towel. Remove the lining paper, trim the edges and run a knife about 2.5 cm/1 in in from the short edge, cutting half-way through the cake. Roll up the cake from the cut edge. Leave to cool. Unwrap the cake and spread with jam, then roll up again and serve sprinkled with icing sugar
  10. They better learn how to play underwater
  11. We were winning 1-0 at half time and it wasn't on TV
  12. Banned James Beattie from driving for life and made him do community service everyday. As soon as he was back in the Lambo the ego was back and no muffin was safe!
  13. He retains possession when the ball is played upfront and always finds one of our players with his lay off, which is something we have been lacking with McGoldrick upfront (who looks a much better player behind the front two) on his own.
  14. I would imagine it wasn't endurance running but multiple short sprints with little rest, which is perfect training for football. Look at Beattie as an example in Strachan's Reign he must've scored around 50 goals in 100 games as well as having an amazing workrate closing defenders down and pressuring the ball. All this was enabled due to the high fitness levels Strachan created in the players.
  15. Doesn't he post on here as The9?
  16. Doesn't he post on here as The9?
  17. Is it possible to give them the whole of the Kingsland? 8000 tickets which they can sell easily and we will only have to sell 24000 which could be done ;-)
  18. BWP with the ball played infront of him was excellent yesterday but in the second half he appeared to be in a more advanced starting position and had to comeback to retrieve the ball, at which point he is average at best. I think there is a point in home games where our style either gets found out or we run out of gas. The defensive midfield two stop coming back for the ball and the slick passing stops.

    Cider

I think bottles of Cornish Rattler are available in Morrisons, but not sure if it is all over the country!!
  20. I have a Dell
  21. Looked more like he was doing his interpretation of the gypsy dance in Come on Eileen
  22. Two full seasons in the Championship both finished with playoff positions - in which they were promoted once. Granted crap in the Premiership but consistant at this level. I think it is unfair to call them a long ball team, they play direct football into a physically strong and quick forward (although not sure why he picked Rasiak for that job!!!!)
  23. Sturrock had 14 pts in first 10
  24. There must be Crocodiles in the Tyne
  25. I would imagine the bulk of the scar tissue would've been removed in the last or a seperate operation and that the slow rebuild of muscle around the knee along with the re-attachment of ligaments and the addition of new cartildge will make it as strong or stronger than before. Add that to the fact he is a psycho of a defender and won't bottle anything I think he will be back in the Sweden squad before the next World Cup
