If you're referring to Aribo being much better than Charles then I think you're being quite generous to Joe. He was fairly solid last season, with a few good games and scored 4 goals, but never looked like he was playing below his level, he played as he should - a decent to good Championship level player. For the amount of starts he had (19) he was our lowest rated player on Whoscored, aside from Captain Jack of course. Shea has now played 400 more minutes for Wednesday than his Saints career total, and is currently ranked the 7th best rated player in the Championship this season. I agree that I don't think he's going to come back and suddenly help us win the Premier League, but he was barely worse than Aribo last season and has now gained a lot more experience so could expect him to be a better option in the middle. That said, fingers crossed Aribo hits 20 goals between now and the end of the season and starts dominating every match!!

I'm expecting better than Martin achieved, and once he's got them a bit fitter (and tried to get rid of the damage previously done by Martin), a few more goals going in and a team looking like we at least want to score a goal. Minus the finishing and a couple of lapses, the performance against West Ham was much better than we'd seen from the team for quite a while. Fingers crossed we see a big reaction from this weekend.

Wasn't part of the problem previously that aside from Downes, very few of the players signed were actually suited to a heavy possession and passing based game? Look at this season's signings - BBD, Cornet, Big Les, Sugawara, Archer, Taylor are all not suited to that style at all. Hopefully the recruitment actually target players that are comfortable in the style we play!

100% - was pretty sure this was going to be a topic on how at least we have Fernandes, an extremely talented young player looking like he wants to win (sometimes on his own). Palace supporting mate mentioned to me that he was very impressed with him.

A very basic wishlist for the new manager: Anyone who actually makes them train more than 3/4 times a week, and then makes them do double sessions (not get a day off) after they embarrass the club with an awful performance, i.e. get them fit. Selecting new captain and vice-captain. Harwood-Bellis would be my pick. Selecting the best players and playing them in their positions Playing to players strengths, not forcing all players to do a short pass at any cost Clean slate with all the players (ABK, Taylor, Cornet, Ugochukwu, Onuachu, Amo-Ameyaw) Try to actually play the ball forwards and try to win games

I would just say as soon as his name is mentioned, everyone boo, and just cheer as usual for all the players names. The players (and potential results) are better than what the manager is causing.

Saints to score but lose, with Stephens to save a goal, give away a goal, and get a booking whilst showing off his "passion" (read: stupidity). Could be interesting to see a few new players, would love to see ABK get a game, but he'll be so rusty now he'll probably have a shocker and Martin can use that as an excuse for not playing him before. Edwards before Wood if we have to see that change please.

I bet the board browse the forums and think "wow, 272 pages in a year on our amazing manager, that's ten times more than any player has got". Board - that's about 250 pages worth of "why is he making them piss about with it at the back all the time" and "why is player X randomly dropped" and "Why does he keep saying we're brave when he's instructing them to pass to opposition players and we're constantly losing"? We're not singing his praises alright 🤣 Please, we can do much better with this group of players just playing without his idiotic, stubborn approach, and the only way we'll do that (and coincidentally, save Sport Republic millions of pounds by not getting relegated), is by having a new management team in place. I guess the only way they'll hear it is if the players are cheered and the manager is booed sadly.
